I haven't found a Feb 2007 thread yet so thought I'd start one. Just found out I was pregnant on Monday so it is very early days still - but so exciting nonetheless. The due date calculators generally say I am due on 1 Feb, with on churning out 31 Jan and another 4 Feb. I thought it was more like 15 Feb but I will find our more at my first doctor's appointment on 15 June.

My stats:
me 28
dh 35
first baby
due 31/01 or 1/02 or 4/02 or 15/02 ???? (take your pick!)

Anyone want to join me?

And Happy Anniversary MrsJC (spotted it while lurking on another post!). Hope you're having a lovely day.

babycheese · 07/08/2006 22:04

Hello everybody, Am new to the site, my baby is due in Feb (10th). Really lovely to see a place where pregnancy is celebrated and people share their views its very comforting when you have spent best part of three months with your head down a range of toilets!!! Are there any mums in chelmsford/witham/braintree area that are due same time???

TuttiFrutti · 08/08/2006 12:33

I'm feeling jealous of people who've had their scans already and everything was fine.

I've got my scan tomorrow, and am so nervous that my eczema has come back after 10 years without it! Will feel really relieved if everything is OK tomorrow, and I will finally be able to enjoy the pregnancy.

maazaa · 08/08/2006 13:04

Welcome Babycheese!

Just think, Tutti - by tomorrow, you can feel the anxiety flow away - let us know when you get back. Am sure you'll be delighted to see everything is going well.

babycakes26 · 08/08/2006 14:17

Hi all
another new member! Having a 'duvet afternoon' as feeling sooooooooooooo tired - but glad I am as I have found this website! Early days for me (7 weeks tomorrow) and having had a m/c over a year ago feeling a little anxious second time around but browsing the different threads here has made me feel better! So far so good although a little paranoid at my lack of nausea or sickness. Can anyone tell me if you too had no morning sickness? Hope you are all having a nice sunny day!

maazaa · 08/08/2006 14:23

Hello Babycakes! Delighted to see you! My maths is poor but are you due March if you are 7 weeks? I am twelve weeks on Thursday! Had much nausea, but it only kicked in around Week 7 or 8. Some women don't suffer at, so fingers crossed you are one of them!!!!!!!

babycakes26 · 08/08/2006 14:31

Hi Maazaa
Poor you hope the nausea eases off for you soon But then again as everyone around me keeps saying feeling nauseous is a good sign! I had bad morning sickness last time I was pregnant so was expecting more than I am feeling now. I should count myself lucky and stop complaining. Yes due March (22nd) so fingers crossed all goes well the next few weeks - I miscarried at 14 weeks last time so I think I won't relax until I pass this time - it's going to be a long couple of months!

maazaa · 08/08/2006 14:38

Poor you, you have my sympathies. Perhaps the difference in symptoms means this one is for keeps? I really hope so. Can your GP/midwife recommend a reassurance scan in a couple of weeks to keep you going? Also old wives say MS can indicate a girl baby? Who knows.

As much as you are very welcome here, you might like to hop onto the Due in March thread. Follow this link! Due March

peachygirl · 08/08/2006 15:14

Welcome baby cake, I've not had any MS, No vomiting just a bit of queasyness. I've been paranoid about it too. But the receptionist in the dentist today said she was much the same!(its true then that your life becomes public property!)
I've got my san tomorrow too tutti frutti.

Also wanted to say, Mrs JC I saw a snippet in the sunday times home section that said the real JC has been living in London!!!

peachygirl · 08/08/2006 15:14

sorry scan!

babycakes26 · 08/08/2006 17:02

Thanks for that Peachy - hope the scan goes well - fingers crossed for you

Tommy · 08/08/2006 22:20

I had a bit of bleeding this morning and phoned the MW who was fantastic. I now have a check up at the EPU tomorrow. Fingers crossed everything is OK. It hasn't happened again since this morning so I'm hoping it was just a one off. It's been a bit scarey because of the miscarriage last year but I feel a bit calmer about it now than I did this morning.

SimonBolivarCusack · 09/08/2006 07:33

hello hello
Tommy posted on your other thread but good luck for today
So THAT'S where Marina got it from peachygirl - I did wonder. Fitzrovia I believe. Alright for some!
and thanks for the anniversary congrats suzi2. Unfortunately, yet another evening where I felt sicker and sicker and was asleep by 10pm. Surely the sickness must start wearing off soon?
can't keep up with everyone but well done to everyone on scans etc.

julezboo · 09/08/2006 10:57

Tommy good luck for today hunnyxx

I reached 12 weeks today, still feeling very sick and down in the dumps x x

Sorry im scarse hopefully after scan next week we can be a bit more excited x x

love Julie
12+0

Tommy · 09/08/2006 12:51

Had a scan and all is fine

They don't seem to know what the bleeding was about but, from what others have told me, it's not unusual (didn't have it with the DSs).

So have my little baby picture a day earlier than I was expecting!

babydriver · 09/08/2006 13:06

Just popping in to say hello - nothing in particular to report.

Tommy, glad the scan was OK. Welcome babycheese and babycakes.

If anyone has a moment, worth going to the 'what has MN done for you' thread (flagged on the home page) and add your support for the MN team and the site.

Bye for now.

maazaa · 09/08/2006 15:07

Well done on the scan Tommy - you must be relieved. Babydriver - I listened with interest and got very cross about all the media rubbish yesterday. Will add my post to that thread.

Does anyone have a wee problem? If I don't drink for as little as an hour, I feel cystitis creeping in. Then I drink lots and it creeps away again. This has been going on for a few weeks. Do you think I have a urine infection? If so, I wouldn't be able to have anti-biotics would I? Trying to remember to drink lots. Any advice welcome!

julezboo · 09/08/2006 15:57

Im the same maazaa, like you i feel it creeping in and i drink lots, hasnt quite got me yet!

So no advice, not even sure about cranberry juice which is what id normally say.

There are antibotics you can take in preg, I have toothache and have some!

peachygirl · 09/08/2006 19:50

Hi all
I've had my scan and all is well. I had a bit of a cry to begin with but everything subsided when I saw it wiggling about on the screen. I had to have an extra big drink in the middle to get it into a better position for the NT scan.
Mazaa you said your looked like a prawn well in one of my pictures it looks like that Edvard Munch picture 'the scream!'
Julezboo I hope you are feeling a bit better, keep listening to the doppler to reassure yourself. I thought about you this afternoon.
You should be able to drink cranberry juice for the cystitis, certainly when not PG you can also have bicarb mixed in with water, tastes vile though! you could ask at the chemist

SimonBolivarCusack · 09/08/2006 19:55

fantastic news Tommy!
And v.pleased for you too peachygirl
Cant't wait til my scan - if only I knew exactly when it is...v.annoying the way my hospital does it. Also DH may miss it

maazaa · 09/08/2006 20:29

Thanks for the advice on the wee issue - think i may ask gp as even now, i feel it and that's after a pint of 7up and a glass of OJ.

Peachy - LOL at your description!!!

Anyone heard how Tuttifrutti got on?

TuttiFrutti · 09/08/2006 21:07

I had my scan today and it's good news! Couldn't sleep last night for worrying, and felt sick this morning (with nerves, not MS). They have given me a risk rating for Down's syndrome of 1:1,700 which at the age of 39 I feel very relieved about! They told me my risk rating based on age alone would be 1:88.

Interesting how more detailed it was than the NHS scan I had 2 years ago - they did blood tests as well so we got a more accurate picture. I thought I might have to have CVS today after my scan, but thank goodness I can bypass that.

Tommy and Peachygirl, really pleased for your scan results. We can finally relax now (well, sort of) and enjoy our pregnancies!

peachygirl · 09/08/2006 21:47

Thats great news tutti frutti

Tommy · 10/08/2006 09:45

thanks everyone
It feels a bit weird actually because I think, in my head, I had geared myself up for it all going pear shaped again so it all feels quite strange! Keep looking at the scan pictures and not quite believing that that wriggly thing is inside me!

babycheese · 10/08/2006 20:22

Hi there,

Maazaa have had similar problem with water works, cranberry juice is good but be careful not to drink too much of it as it can raise blood pressure. Laughed at descriptions of scan photos my daughter's scan picture looked like a cat. Havent figured new one out yet.
