I haven't found a Feb 2007 thread yet so thought I'd start one. Just found out I was pregnant on Monday so it is very early days still - but so exciting nonetheless. The due date calculators generally say I am due on 1 Feb, with on churning out 31 Jan and another 4 Feb. I thought it was more like 15 Feb but I will find our more at my first doctor's appointment on 15 June.

My stats:
me 28
dh 35
first baby
due 31/01 or 1/02 or 4/02 or 15/02 ???? (take your pick!)

Anyone want to join me?

hi lillymum - congratulations! hope this pregnancy will be a breeze compared to your last. and hi cadbury - glad your dh is thrilled. i am still masquerading under a psydoneum for now.

feeling a bit tired, but otherwise my only symptoms seem to be my suddenly monumentally vast boobs. i am really quite appalled by them, straining to keep them inside my favourite summer dresses.

has anyone been pregnant over winter before? i am seriously worried about the style dilemmas its going to present.

notanotter · 05/06/2006 21:10

wow lily mum!!! Another one here from feb 06 thread - my number 5 was born valentines day and let me cheer you all along by saying now planning number 6!
All the best to you all - good time of year for it too!

sorkycake · 05/06/2006 23:23

Welcome cadbury & lilymum!
Followed your uptheduffandincognito thread cadbury, soooo funny. How good you were at not caving given the relentless guessing.
My ds1 was born in January puddingclub and I was so hot I wore a hoody or a jumper fleece instead of a coat. I had a ski jacket for the snow but it didn't look fashionable. I refused to buy a nice winter coat 2 sizes bigger than I normally am, cos I'm tight!

ChiTownLady · 07/06/2006 03:22

Hi, thought i'd like to join, Ive actually been on the living o'seas thread as I have just moved to chicago to be with my dh who moved out here in Feb with his work - as you can guess we were very pleased to see each other when I finally got here at the end of april beg of may.

MY Sats

Glad to meet you and and congrats to everyone - heres to a fun next 8 months!

Lucyb9384 · 07/06/2006 09:17

Hi everyone, wanted to introduce myself, i'm 22, DH to be (we're getting married in August) is 38, we have 1 DD age 4 and i've only been off my pill a month and got the BFP yesterday on a clear blue. I don't really have many symptoms yet and was wondering if this is normal - no sickness bit tired, sore bbs, very hungry and thats about it!?!? I am due 9th Feb so i am only 5 weeks gone and feeling nervous as have m/c before, want to make it to 12 weeks and it seems like a long way off - also read that having no symptoms can be a sign that you are going to mc - anyone heard different?!?! Anyway sorry to go on with my first posting but am feeling emotional and had to rant. oh and i was reading the other postings and we're camping too this weekend!!

Lucyb9384 · 07/06/2006 09:19

oh my god, i'm sorry i just read my posting and it was so negative - so i'm going to smile and be positive Grin

soundbites · 07/06/2006 09:36

Hello everyone and welcome and congratulations those who have just joined. Lucyb - I have never heard that lack of symptoms suggests a mc. This is my first though so not speaking from any experience. I am pretty much like you - sore boobs (especially the nipples), no sickness really unless I start to get hungry / thirsty, bizarely very sensitive teeth (!) but nothing else (and, like you, I conceived the very first month too). It is a weird stage of not much happening - I have avoided the temptation to do the test again to make sure it is still there!

ChiTownLady - there is a good group going here so maybe we can help to make Chicago feel less far away …

Smile

Soundbites i know what you mean i don't particularly feel pregnant and am trying to resist the urge to test everyday to check its still there. it seems a bit unreal!!!!

lilymum · 07/06/2006 16:08

Lucyb9834, enjoy the lack of pregnancy niggles before they kick in in the next couple of weeks.

cadbury · 07/06/2006 16:11

Hello ChiTownLady and Lucyb - congratulations!

Lucyb - I have exactly the same symptons as you but it is early days yet and I'm sure we'll all be feeling like the brown stuff before long WinkGrin

I got the results back from the drs surgery today and that confirms it - I knew it would but I worried anyway. I now need to figure out what to do about a midwife. I really don't want to go with the one attached to the surgery - she drove me mad last time.

sorkycake · 07/06/2006 21:28

I got my results confirmed today by the surgery cadbury. They (receptionist) said I wouldn't have an appt until I was 12-13 weeks. I replied "how will you know when I'm 12-13 weeks?", given that I haven't a clue how far on I am myself? She said 'you fill in a form and then they contact you' to which I replied "but I don't know when my last LMP was" to which I received the following patronising reply "don't you worry love, the midwives will contact you when they need to see you".
Shock Is it just me that thinks this is disgraceful?
Well kiss my @*se cos I'm not going back!Angry

sorkycake · 07/06/2006 21:32

sigh...excuse me please I'm a bit tired and grouchy. Maybe I will feel differently with sleep, which I aim to get before I'm 12 weeks.

mazzystar · 07/06/2006 21:33

hello everybody - congratulations lucy and CTL. ( i was masquerading as pudding club, but it really can't be bothered with all this name-switching - hope no-one spots me nonetheless)

its funny isn't it, being just a few weeks pregnant when it doesn't quite seem real and waiting to feel worse than you do. i'm such a ludicrous worrier, i think i'd prefer to be throwing up every ten minutes.

teabags · 08/06/2006 07:59

Hello and congrats everyone
I'm gatecrashing your thread. Did a test only yeserday. Still spun out that I am pg! My 2nd baby but seems even more surreal 2nd time around for some reason? Found myself looking at double buggies yesterday!

lilymum · 08/06/2006 13:18

sorkycake, I thought that booking in appt had changed from 12 to 8 weeks. I've always thought it a bit daft that when you're feeling so unwell and tired and sick you don't get to see the midwife.

Pretty pathetic on part of receptionist and madly patronising. Why don't you ring the surgery when the midwife is there and talk to her directly? If you don't know your LMP do they offer a dating scan?

Congrats teabags, you ain't gatecrashing!

ChiTownLady · 08/06/2006 14:36

Congrats teabag - me too on my second and feels very surreal - i think slightly less euphoria than last time as i kind of know whats coming but still....

teabags · 08/06/2006 14:46

hello Chi, yes, I'm not jumping up and down with joy ! even though I am very pleased and happy to be pg. Last time I just focused on being preg, this time I can see ahead through the whole 9 mths, birth and beyond and then I wonder how do women cope wih 3/4/5 children! I don't mean to sound negative, I also think it is more real as I only have to look at my boy and it feels v special knowing I have another bub inside me!

My DS has just had a BIG lunch time sleep and so did I (hurrah)! I'm soooo tired!

mummy2jake · 08/06/2006 19:51

hi just thought id check in went to docs to get bp tablets changed over and have an appt with the midwife for 13th july which i think i will be 10 weeks by then. only symptoms i have are feeling really tired and a bit of sickness so cant wait till i see midwife to confirm

sorkycake · 08/06/2006 22:00

Hiya all,
Feeling much better today, but boy wasn't it hot! Glad I'm not imminently due. Winter birth is lovely!
Went down to GP's today and had more confusion with the receptionist who looked horrified that I'll be giving birth at home again, apparently there wasn't a form to fill in for home birth. ffs.
Anyhoo, midwife happened to walk by and recognised me, we had a brief chat and she has booked me an appt to see her on tuesday, hurrah!

I may well have a dating scan to confirm my dates.
I hadn't really been bothered by the sex of the baby for my first 2, but for some reason I'm finding myself hoping for a girl this time round, can't really explain why.
Does anyone else hope for either sex in particular? (healthy & happy of course)

mazs81 · 08/06/2006 22:30

Hi can I join in?
I just turned 25, just found out im pregnant due around 5 feb 07.
DP 27
DS 3
DD 20 months
A bit worried how i will managed with 3 as I only have 2 hands but now excited and looking forward to it.

Congratulations to everyone else.

cadbury · 09/06/2006 08:38

wow, so many new people! welcome everyone. This is going to be lovely, having so many to all do this together! I really missed having an antenatal group the second time round.

I'm feeling really pole-axed at the moment. I have a horrid throat infection and this heat is washing me out anyway, ontop of the usual early pregnancy wall of tiredness. I shall be glad when one or two of those things changes.

TuttiFrutti · 09/06/2006 09:47

Hello everyone, can I join you?

I got a bfp this morning and am still coming down to earth. I got 2 inconclusive test results a few days ago, so sort of hoped/suspected, but it's amazing to know for sure!

(Second) baby due Feb 16th. My stats:
me 38
dh 44
ds 14 months

mazzystar · 09/06/2006 09:56

Aargh this heat. Its so hard when you are sooo tired. But better than being 8 months gone I expect.

I'm still surprised by how well I'm feeling, as I felt hellish last time, but then I didn't find out until a couple of weeks later.

Keep cool today ladies....

Lucyb9384 · 09/06/2006 11:04

hi all, still relatively symptom free apart from a bit tired and sore bb's how are you al feeling? we're going camping this weekend so hoping if i am going to get morning sickness it doesn't set in until after that. Grin

hairycaterpillar · 09/06/2006 13:20

Hello all, congratulations!
Can I join too,baby no.3 for me:

me 30
