Sarah our bundle is sleepy too, when I was ill post cs then she slept 11-7 and thats one reason she lost weight. Now at 8 days old she does still sleep a lot but MW said as long as she only has one long stretch of five hours ish in twenty four without feeding thats ok

Got dressed this morning ready to go out, came over all strange so DH has gone food shopping and I'm back on the sofa. We're having steak for dinner to try and up my iron levels.

pink must be like Christmas!

I thought being on the floor was supposed to help the baby turn is it supposed to help labour too? im relying on my gym ball and failed sweep to help things along Sad

well done with more babies arriving and even sleeping babies Envy this really is my jealous face

learnermummy · 14/06/2013 11:37

AmIGoingMad · 14/06/2013 11:51

Congratulations mawgatron!Smile I thought something must be happening as we hadn't heard anything for a little while! Lovely name and really unusual!

Curious- I'm still here, waiting, and now covered in paint after finger painting with DS!

Red have you thought about spa tone ? I've never taken it myself but have heard very good things about it.

Steffanoid · 14/06/2013 11:55

im here curious,

watching the rain.pouring down outside think it will be funny if I go into labour and dp has to walk the 20 mins home from work, he'll get wetter than in tge shower it's coming down that heavy, dont think my planned walk to the shop will happen

learnermummy · 14/06/2013 11:58

I'm here too. Due Wednesday but think will be late! No rain here as yet. I'm taking 2 spatone a day here - was on 3 for 2 in Tesco.

curiousgeorgie · 14/06/2013 12:06

If I go into labour this weekend though I'm a little bit screwed... Rejoicing my in laws being away but my parents go away tonight until Tuesday, my best friend has a bad sickness bug and has to stay away, one of my brothers is at Download and the other is in Hampshire with his GF, my other friend is on hospital placement for 12 hour shifts the next five days and the only other person I would leave DD with never answers her phone and has three young children and the same support network as me... So couldn't help!

Anyone know if they let 2 year olds sit in on EMCS ;)

learnermummy · 14/06/2013 12:09

When is your CS booked for curious?

Sunbeam18 · 14/06/2013 12:10

Congrats, Mawg! Cool name! Did all go as you wanted it to?
I'm still here, due Tuesday

Littlemissexpecting · 14/06/2013 12:20

Congrats Mawg Thanks

Curious I'm still here. Lots of cramping but no contractions here Hmm

MrsBri · 14/06/2013 12:23

Huge congrats, Maw :-) What an ace name too!

I'm still here. Due next Thursday. I may be pregnant forever though :-/

RueDeWakening · 14/06/2013 12:29

Congratulations Maw Grin I'm loving all these baby announcements, putting a smile on my face every morning!

Sarah - M slept from 12-8 last night with a 15 minute feed at 5am, I feel pretty good today! Maybe he's broken too?

Pink - how exciting! I doubt your oh will notice whether anything is tidy or not though Smile

Hawkmoth · 14/06/2013 12:29

I'm still here. Wishing for death after two horrendous migraines. Went up to hospital last night as couldn't see properly or string a sentence together. All was fine, but then up for hours crying with the pain. This morning another one, numb down one side and pins and needles in my mouth.

I think the worst bit was in the hospital where I spilt a pot of piss all over the toilet floor because of weakness in my hand. Sadly the woman in the cubicle next to me had to go before they cleaned it up. The shame!

MrsBri · 14/06/2013 12:34

Poor you, Hawkmoth.

I hope you feel better soon.

AmIGoingMad · 14/06/2013 12:35

Oh hawk you poor thing! I hope things get better for you soon.

Steffanoid · 14/06/2013 12:45

hawk thats really bad, I used to find that pitch black rooms were too bright still when I had migraines, I used to end up with tablets, covering myself in tiger balm with a blindfold or scarf over my eyes and try to sleep it off Sad

do you think if I.lie on my belly the baby will shoot out? please please note im joking and would not do that till I was 3 weeks overdue

Sarah2506 · 14/06/2013 12:50

rue if this is broken then I'm good with it! She's slept 4 hours before and we actually woke her assuming she would starve to death. Midwife said we were crazy and to let her sleep, though not beyond 6 hours. I have no expectation this will continue though:-)

curiousgeorgie · 14/06/2013 12:56

CS booked for my due date, the 25th.. But if I go into labour before then they'll just do it as an EMCS straight away... So I'm praying for waters to break or something!!Wink

curiousgeorgie · 14/06/2013 12:59

It could continue Sarah! It did for my DD, she always had to be woken up for a feed and was just a really sleepy baby. Doing 8 hours at night by 4 weeks and 12 by 7 weeks... This new baby is going to give me a massive shock I thinkShock

bunglecat77 · 14/06/2013 13:19

Congrats Mawg - love the name too.

Hawk - that sounds hideous. Hope you feel better soon.

Curious - I'm another one still waiting. Due on the 22nd, and absolutely nothing happening so far.

Sarah2506 · 14/06/2013 13:21

Georgie that gives me hope! How come you are booked for your due date - thought standard practice was to book a week ahead? Did you have a EMCS last time? Have to say the planned version was so calm and relaxed that it was a great experience. I kind of wanted my waters to break ahead of time but in retrospect that would have been annoying as I would have been stressed about how long I would have to wait for a theatre, it could have been the middle of the night etc. Much better to have it done when you are scheduled to!

Olimoss · 14/06/2013 13:44

Yay for new babies with cool names!

Boo for migraines and labour that never arrives.

Joe is 16 days old now. Weird. Same as Sarah, I'm heaps better post-section than I was the last month of pregnancy. Got the ok to drive today from the GP which is aces. Also went out for first time since J came home, on my own (ie Mum is out doing other stuff) - had comedy moment where I stood on absolute poshest street of our neighbourhood to feed him. Otherwise was brill to get out & do lots of walking after the recent shitty weather. Went and hung out at my fave coffee place, just did normal stuff.

Back to pre-pregnancy weight now. So I want to know - if I keep expressing will I keep losing weight!!?. I have to express as J will only take bottles, actively refuses my (horrifyingly massive, I don't blame him) boobs.

We are averaging a minimum of 5hrs sleep a night, I think we are v lucky, hope it continues. Maybe it's positive payback for all the NICU horrors we had.
