Congratulations, pink! Is her name pronounced like Thea? Lovely! X

Littlemissexpecting · 13/06/2013 18:04

Nothing here all day very frustrating Hmm

pinkbear82 · 13/06/2013 18:35

congrats pink! how lovely. enjoy your snuggles.

I'm trying not to get over excited about dp coming home tomorrow, I need sleep tonight and to get tthrough the morning. and I have a suspicion I may actually just be teary once he's here! such a mixed bag of emotions.... put me back to giving birth I'll do that again rather than this.

waiting ladies fingers crossed things start to ramp up for u x

Steffanoid · 13/06/2013 18:56

pink I dont think id sleep, I think of be sat by the door like my dog does waiting for dp to get home!

cyclecamper · 13/06/2013 18:59

Congratulations Pink, and all the others who have had their babies since I last dropped by. Baby camper is growing and is now 5lb 14oz. He keeps feeding for hours on end, so he should be!

redwellybluewelly · 13/06/2013 19:18

Congratulations pink

Brilliant news. I'm sure I've missed a baby announcement somewhere along the line...

Our squishy is ahem er growing at a rate of knots, she is a week old and I had to put away all the 'up to 1 month' and newborn clothes today and wash all the 0-3 months, she is so long I couldn't fit her in the vests and do up the poppers. Still jaundiced though. Today has been the first day I've started to feel like me again, hoping I'll have a fast recovery now, DH has another three weeks off and I want to make the most of them!

Hope those bouncing and waiting meet their babies soon, rue how are you getting on and Oli are things going well? cycle really pleased about the weight gain, is babycamper all recovered?

Congratulations pink! Lovely name too!Smile

Great to hear that baby cycle is doing well and good to hear from you cycle!

Sunny I hope that you're home by now- hospitals are ridiculous places to try to sleep in!

Rreow- thanks for the tips! I have the hypnobirthing book at the side of my bed but haven't had the time to read much of it at all! DS is with GPS tomrw so will try to get through some before having a nap. I'm so tired and emotional at the moment- it's driving me mad!

AmIGoingMad · 13/06/2013 19:26

X post red- really good to hear that you're both doing well and feeling good!Smile

learnermummy · 13/06/2013 19:51

Congratulations pinkapples Smile

Bit of a rubbish day here. Exhausted due to late night (my fault), indigestion (also my fault), headache (prob related to previous two) and then day started badly with DS2 trapping his thumb in car door Hmm.
No signs of baby yet but expecting a late one and happy with that!

RueDeWakening · 13/06/2013 19:57

Just catching up - sunny, hope you're home by now! Pink, congratulations and what a lovely name :)

Red - good to hear you're feeling a bit better, hope that continues and you can enjoy the time your DH has off.

Me and M are doing OK, I now have cream for me and gel for him to treat thrush (urgh) so hopefully that'll get better in the next few days. He's giving me some concerns today though, his feeding has gone weird. Last night he cluster fed from 9pm till midnight, then woke at 4 and fussed for an hour without having a proper feed before falling asleep. Woke at 8.30ish with a pretty dry nappy and fed on one side. Woke again at 11 with pretty dry nappy again and fed on both sides (although 2nd was very short). Stayed awake, fed again at 2pm, went to sleep, fed again at 5pm on one side, is currently asleep though starting to stir so I expect he'll feed again in the next 20 mins or so.

He's definitely taking less milk than normal as I've spent most of the day with bullets on my front instead of boobs. Any ideas? He doesn't seem bothered by the thrush and is (IMO) too young to "sleep through" yet, especially being BF - he did wake up last night after all, just didn't seem to want to feed. If he carries on like this tomorrow I think I'm going to be expressing for him to have a bottle but I don't really want to do that, it's such a faff and might get him into bad habits of expecting an easy life!

Argh, kids...

rrreow · 13/06/2013 20:08

Congrats pink lovely name! How is it pronounced?

arlandria666 · 13/06/2013 22:51

Rue Elliott was like that yesterday but has certainly made up for it today! cluster fed tonight from 6 til now! still going for it!i was worried yesterday but he has certainly filled up today!

SunnyL · 14/06/2013 02:59

Finally made our escape from hosp at 5pm and have also discovered what cluster feeding is. Just did an hour on left, burped and demanded the right. But then when they are this cute you forget how tired you are and just gaze adoringly at them.

Littlemissexpecting · 14/06/2013 06:36

Rue could it be the thrush treatment making M a bit unsettled with the feeding?
Sunny hope your first night at home went well.
Well no contractions here last night. Glad I managed to sleep but very frustrated that I had them for 2 nights now nothing. Just a stupid waiting game I suppose....

Littlemissexpecting · 14/06/2013 06:37

Red and cycle good to hear the babies are putting on weight.
Sorry if I have missed anything else this thread has been moving at some speed last couple of days.

AmIGoingMad · 14/06/2013 09:15

Morning all!

It's raining really badly here today and I'm regretting moaning about the heat last week now! Especially as I was hoping to get out and about walking to encourage baby to wriggle downwards with gravity! That and driving is so uncomfortable now. On the bright side tho DS woke up later than he has in ages and then demanded big hugs before getting up- gorgeous!

Littlemissexpecting · 14/06/2013 09:17

AmI same here forecast heavy rain all weekend Hmm so much for gravity giving us a helping hand. DH suggested cleaning the kitchen floor instead so trying to muster the energy!!

MrsBri · 14/06/2013 09:29

Ha! I love how our DHs are suggesting floor cleaning as they know it is the only time ever we won't clock them one and tell them to do it themselves!

I'm sure mine is spilling stuff on the floor to get me on my hands and knees :-/

The weather can't make its mind up here, so I'm having an internal debate about whether I should hang my washing out. There isn't much, so I may go for it.

Am I the only one who can't walk more than about 15 yards without bump ache?! I envy everyone going out for walks.

I'm going to bounce while watching Homes Under the Hammer, I think. Surely it'll help?!

pinkbear82 · 14/06/2013 09:45

I had a little chuckle at Dh/dps trying to get us on our hands and knees..... some might say that's what got us into this in the first place!! Wink

now I've lowered the tone I'll send baby arrival thoughts to all of you waiting. and hope that today may be the day for some of you.

I'm off to pick Violet a daddy meeting outfit and to retidy everything that's already tidy and try and tell myself
I'm over fussing for no good reason.

happy Friday everyone x

MrsBri · 14/06/2013 09:59

Have a great day, pink :-) I bet you're both so excited.

And at least he can now be on the birth certificate without hassle too.

pinkbear82 · 14/06/2013 10:12

you are right mrsbri! I'm phoning today to make an appt for next week to make her official!

I am indeed over excited, I have a silly smile on my face and clearly it's rubbed off on violet as she's lying awake having a good wiggle when she would normally be asleep!

Steffanoid · 14/06/2013 10:54

pinkbear have a great day, j can't imagine how excited you are, I bet you feel like a silly schoolgirl, I bet I would!

no signs of arrival here in laws are here for a few days from Tuesday regardless because mil has booked next week off and some of the one after.
I've got a really bad feeling that he's going to wait till the induction a week today and then arrive on the Saturday which is my birthday, sods law!

hope all you new mummies aren't over run with visitors and getting to enjoy lots of baby cuddles Smile

Sarah2506 · 14/06/2013 11:02

Polly slept from 12-8 with only one feed at 5am breaking it up. Surely this is wrong? She must be broken?! I'm conveniently ignoring the five hours it took her to get to sleep!

It's weird reading about those still waiting for babies- being pregnant seems a lifetime ago now! Have to say that I feel physically so much better post section than I felt for pretty much all of weeks 34-39. Being pregnant really does suck! Stood on the scales and was slightly disappointed that actually having her has only meant 5kg of weight loss- so only 15kg to go?! Saying that my boobs must weigh approx 4kg each:-) And so sore- how long till it stops making your toes curl?!

AmIGoingMad · 14/06/2013 11:11

Pinkbear have a fabulous reunion day! Really happy for you!Smile

And Sarah- I think that's more unbroken sleep than I usually get with my 2 yr old you lucky thing!

Well I was also planning to clean the kitchen floor today but just slipped getting into the shower and have done something to my leg/groin-grrrr!Hmm

Think I'll sit at kitchen table and attempt finger painting a Father's Day card with DS- I could live to regret this!!!Grin

Mawgatron · 14/06/2013 11:13

Baxter born at 12.26 last night, happy, healthy and the most amazing thing I have every done. Overwhelmed.
Good luck to all of you still waiting!
