Welcome babybeann I'm 19th June but you'll probably beat me!
You must be exhausted running around after such a little one. Hope you don't get PE again.

arlandria666 · 30/05/2013 08:22

Congratulations Oli
Good luck AmI
Well after ten feeds and six cup feeds its safe to say i have had no sleep what so ever in between feeding expressing sterilising and cup feeding its time to start again once done it all lol hopefully the little man will show improvement today tho fingers crossed!
I am not beating myself up about it as much today if we get admitted its for the best for him still hoping it doesn't come to that

Babybeann · 30/05/2013 08:36

hello learner yes it is draining looking after him. he had his jabs last week and still suffering with the, waking in the night and has gone off food. poor little chap. he is keeping me entertained as has just learnt to say 'poo' haha but goes pooooooo.

been reading the last few pages of the old post and cant belive babies have already made an apperiance. feels slightly real now maybe i sould pack my hospital bag!!!!!

pinkapples · 30/05/2013 08:38

Congrats oli and welcome baby beam

I have just been woken by a barking dog (mine) and my dad at the door to check in. Does he not know the time and my recent lack of sleep! Obviously not! Hay ho! I'm up now will go and do a slow lead walk with the dogs which will impress them no end... not before trix has her drain out tomorrow

With dogs and babies its a wonder there's time for anything else just hoping little one stays put a week or so so that we can get dog sorted first

curiousgeorgie · 30/05/2013 08:39

Babybeann - I'm the 25th June too and also expecting a girl Smile I'm sure you'll beat me though as I'm scheduled for a c section on my due date and went two weeks late with my 2 year old so not expecting to go into labour beforehand sadly!

Congratulations Oli!! Join the Facebook group and post a pic Grin

We should do a list like they do on the conception threads, with people copying and pasting and adding themselves.

AmIGoingMad · 30/05/2013 09:03

Welcome babybeann That's 3 of us due on the 25th now then! And I'm pretty sure that's Sarah's birthday too! I've also got a little boy but he's 2yrs 4 months. I was induced last time for pe but right at the end. Bp has been up a few times but seems to be behaving itself at the moment thank goodness!

Mrsbri yes the scan today is to check that baby is pointing head down as my weird changing bump and mid wife's difficulty in feeling head at appt on tues led to her referring me just in case baby's flipped. It wouldn't surprise me with the auditions she's been doing to join the babyb babyforget acrobat troup! Although the position of hiccups encourages me! And I'm mostly wanting a check of the baby's sex if I'm honest. That and checking that all's still ok. I'm so paranoid this time around. ( who am I trying to kid- I was awful last time too!)

Arlandria I'm glad that things are getting better ( if not on the sleep front) and its good to hear that you seem to be feeling better too. Make sure you take care of yourself too!

AmIGoingMad · 30/05/2013 09:04

Pink- how is your dog doing now?

AlohaMama · 30/05/2013 09:07

OK I did a new stats thread and updated it as best as I could. Its here
There's a few people who weren't on it, but if you changed names I may have accidentally deleted you - sorry!! Anyway go and check and add yourself back on. It's quite a short list now as I deleted anyone who I didn't see on the last thread, so sorry to those who had been reading but not posting.

Phew. Off to sleep now...

AmIGoingMad · 30/05/2013 09:14

Impressive work aloha! Sleep well!

pinkapples · 30/05/2013 09:21

She's alright thanks x

Still very sleepy but seems to be better now she's had her painkillers and antibiotics we couldn't give her any till last night so all yesterday she was whimpering but she is better today

I was never on the stats thread I couldn't do it will have another go :-)

pinkbear82 · 30/05/2013 09:30

would a lovely kind one of you add me to the stats thread - my stupid phone won't let me do it Angry

edd 5 June - team yellow.

thank you.

congrats oli - hope all continues to go well x

massagegirl · 30/05/2013 09:32

Arlandria... Think we're in similar boats. Am trying hard to feed a reluctant, jaundiced baby who has lost weight. An currently trying the boob as much as possible, spent two hours this morning trying to get her to latch. In the end resorted to nipple shields and she had quite a good feed... I think, an also topping up with formula, and expressing..., bloody knackered and emotional.
Congratulations to the new arrivals. And to all you mummy's and mummy's to be look after yourselves, have realised we are on a big old roller coaster and whatever we are are all doing an amazing job!

Hawkmoth · 30/05/2013 09:43

Morning all and congratulations!

Up for a wee every two hours then slept to past nine. Completely spaced out now.

Sarah2506 · 30/05/2013 09:56

Ooh yes, 25th is my birthday!

Glad you are all enjoying The Antenatal Group- it's a good read right now. I like my NCT group but not as much as the ladies in the book!

Congrats Oli. Is he Joseph or just Joe?

My bump has dropped. Suddenly there is clear water between bump and boobs. This has made me feel so much more human. And means that today's job is to go and get measured for a nursing bra.

forgetmenots · 30/05/2013 10:03

Congratulations on your boy Oli! (We seem to be quite blue so far?!)

Actually got some sleep last night, feel quite human...

AmI, hope all goes well today, always another place in the circus for baby :)

Littlemissexpecting · 30/05/2013 10:07

Congrats Oli!
I've got a scan tomorrow to check babies position, we may have a very large group of acrobats!
Yes the girls in the book are great, it's very real.

Babybeann · 30/05/2013 10:17

wow the 25th is a busy day! its also dp birthday hes willing baby to come early as he says he'll be fogotton about every year if babys is the same day.

had mw yesterday, bp was high and a + of protine so off she sent us to hospital to get checked. they found no protine and said bp was fine!!!! grrrrr
feel like a yoyo last week the same thing happened. i dont want to be induced but everytime im sent in i get a little excited i may have a baby. ho hum!! got another check friday so we shell see.

learnermummy · 30/05/2013 10:31

Have added you pinkbear Smile

arlandria666 · 30/05/2013 10:54

It is draining isn't it messagegirl :-( i have a breast feeding specialist coming to see me this morning my sister rang them for me as i was so upset and really struggling with the manual pump they loan electric ones out so hopefully things will be better

Steffanoid · 30/05/2013 11:19

is it just me...that gets convinced every time I wake up or move my waters are going to break and have to frantically check only to be disappointed?
I really want this little one to arrive already, I want to meet him, patience is not a virtue I was born with!!

massagegirl · 30/05/2013 11:20

Arlandria how sweet of your sis, the nipple shields have really helped this morning, actually feel like she's eaten! I have an electric one too. Good luck x

forgetmenots · 30/05/2013 11:28

No steffanoid, I'm feeling pretty impatient and could feasibly have four weeks to go!

Steffanoid · 30/05/2013 11:37

at least it's not just me forget! I think when we (hopefully) have another I'll know tge feeling im waiting for, it's because I dont know how it's gonna feel and each weird normal pregnancy feeling gets me excited thinking woo this is it, but it's usually just a bit of a crampy bump Sad

forgetmenots · 30/05/2013 11:45

Completely! Hard to tell what's going on most of the time... keep telling myself I will find out soon enough but I am ready now! Sod's law it will be the day I make plans...

rrreow · 30/05/2013 12:08

massagegirl don't worry about the nipple shields. I think some little babies just have real trouble latching on to a nipple. I fed DS1 with shields for 6 months at which point I was finally able to ditch them and ended up feeding till 14mo.

Congrats oli!!! And yay for an amenity room. Post-natal ward is pretty dire in most places. Hope you and Joe are both doing well.

My itching has got worse Sad am fairly sure it's Obstetric Cholestasis again as it feels exactly like last time. Am exhausted as I can't sleep, and when I do fall asleep finally I sleep very fitfully and scratch myself in my sleep.

Spent quite a few of my awake hours reading current research on OC (more research has actually been done since I had DS1 in 2011, so that's very helpful) and I am actually still wanting a homebirth as long as I go into labour before 39w. If I can tolerate the itching until I go into labour naturally that is. I do think I'll have a bit of a fight on my hands if I insist on homebirth but they only do the liver function blood tests at the hospital once a week so I wouldn't have results until next week anyway (at which point I'll be 38+3 or +5)

Feeling a bit despairing at the moment as I am so so tired but I have to be literally exhausted to be able to fall asleep and sleep through the itching. Was getting lots of uncomfortable BH last night with lots of pressure down low, am just hoping I'll go into labour SOON (now please!)
