GT as I seem to live in leggings now I have just let the hair grow and grow...

funkky · 13/06/2013 09:00

I have been using veet hair remover gt saw somewhere it was ok, but best to do your own research I guess.
I have been living by common sense rather than strict rules during pregnancy.
No available ante natal classes in my hospital as they are fully booked till October Shock . Will do NCT but as we move sometime in August, thinking I should book in my new area.
Seems like this thread is nearly done now, anymore 20 week scans?

Warlin · 13/06/2013 09:00

moN I love the father's day card idea! Too late now though to order. I ordered dh a card and a mug with pics on it..only did it on tue so hope it arrives on time.

GT glad the eyes are better. I'm getting full leg and bikini line wax on sat and I'm really hoping it's not too sore! I don't think it starting "growing" early enough though so there currently isn't much to wax. Not very organised these days!

Last day in work today and then off for 2 weeks...can't wait. So looking forward to a break and hopefully the weather in Portugal will be better than here! Hate leaving the dog though..she goes to a doggie boarding place where she sleeps in the girl's house so it's not like kennels but I still cry my eyes out when I leave her as she is quite shy and I know she isn't keen on being away :(

Have a feeling today is going to drag.....

Almost time for a new thread!

Slippysnow · 13/06/2013 09:22

Hiya,

Just had my scan... It's a very lovely looking, healthy appearing BOY!!

Placenta is in a good place so I can fly still :)

All round very happy :)

MotherOfNations · 13/06/2013 09:43

Warlin The last order date for father's day delivery for ppersonalised cards is tomorrow at 2pm with Hallmark cards so you've still got plenty of time.
They've just emailed to tell me they can't omit the apostrophe in the plural of Dads. Dp won't notice but everyone else will.

Congratulations slippy. Another boy on the thread. We're overrun.

I feel really dizzy again today. Got dd's sports day at nursery later this morning. I can't really face standing around though. Atleast being pregnant gets me out of the parent's races I suppose.

Natalieand · 13/06/2013 09:50

I want to sit on my sofa all day and CRY!
Dh just lost out on a big deal at work which meant alot of money to us cos it went through on his day off(yesterday)

I just tried an old coat on they had a dead spider in it and it got stuck on my top and I couldn't get it off without touching it

Dd cried when I took her to playschool

I'm going to Devon tommorow for 4 days tommorow as a little family break before bump arrives and the forecast is nothing but pure rain

My back is so painful today of all days when I have a tonne of washing and packing to do

Anyone else feel like giving up? I hate feeling sorry for myself

BridgetandtheHairyBrigands · 13/06/2013 10:07

Lovely scan news slippy - glad all is looking good. Was this your 20 week-er? Are you due at the end of October?

Warlin - very jealous of your forthcoming holiday. I really could do with a relaxing fortnight in the sun. So grey and miserable here today. Aaah, I'm sure your doggie girly will be fine. I always feel horrid when we leave our dog (even though she drives me mad about 80% of the time!)

Huge hugs Natalie, I hope your day improves. It's blinkin' sod's law that your back is killing you when you've heaps of holiday prep to do.

BridgetandtheHairyBrigands · 13/06/2013 10:13

Natalie - I'm sure that your DD (and you and DH) will have a wonderful time in Devon even if it rains. She'll love spending quality time with the two of you and exploring new places. Even sleeping somewhere different is so exciting when they're little.

roofio87 · 13/06/2013 10:16

Aww Natalie sorry you're having a rubbish day. I have a spider situation at the moment, there is a huge one living under the stairs and every time it comes out we try to get it but its too fast for us I know its not doing me any harm what so ever but I've become obsessed with it!
sounds like lots of things have got on top of you today, I hope at least some things work themselves out. hugs.
slippy congrats on the scan!!

cazboldy · 13/06/2013 10:16

lovely news slippy

someone shake me - I have an exam this afternoon..... I'm bricking it!! And i can't decide what trousers to wear so that I will be most comfy for 3 hours! Just burst into tears at dh about it..... and he said will you really be thinking about your trousers? Hmm

Umlauf · 13/06/2013 10:27

Aww hugs natalie sorry you've had a crap start to the day, but they do say bad things come in threes so that's it for today! Devon will be lovely regardless, you can snuggle up with hot chocolate and board games and switch all phones off for 4 days - bliss! Can you leave the washing until you get back? I feel for you.

I wish I had a spider. There is a giant (like, 4 inch!) lizard on my balcony sheltering from the rain. I need to go outside to get my one bra which I've washed overnight and air dried. Its staring me out. I think ill go to work braless today!

Warlin · 13/06/2013 10:28

Sorry for your dilemma caz but your post did make me laugh :) Tears over wardrobe dilemmas! Good luck with the exam!

Natalie your break will be lovely when you get there..a change of scenery will do you good, regardless of the weather. I hate holiday prep but it's worth it for the time away. And my ds cries every morning when I leave him and it breaks my heart :( Yuk to the spider, I'd have freaked out!

Congrats on your little boy slippy, now you can start buying!

I have zero motivation today and seem to be running to the loo every 2 minutes. Plus this baby is so active compared to the last one....our DS is quite chilled and relaxed and I'm worried I'm growing a little monster Confused

HotSoupDumpling · 13/06/2013 10:56

Congrats slippy!

caz - you're not being unreasonable. In fact (looks guilty) I've had 'I HAVE NO CLOTHES' meltdowns, even before I was pregnant...

Natalie - you'll have great fun in Devon. Bring lots of board games, hot chocolate, sweeties, books and DVDs!

legallyblond · 13/06/2013 11:02

Natalie, I live in Devon. Even when rain is forecast, it is often patchy with plenty of sunny spells for little trips to the beach etc (with dives into coffee shops or cafes for chips when it gets really showery). Where are you going? There are likely to be indoor things too. A trip to Exeter? The museum is AMAZING for toddlers, as is Paignton Zoo (in Paignton!) - honestly, we had annual membership to London Zoo when wr lived in London, and this is better. Or Pennywell Farm is excellent.

thethreeblondies · 13/06/2013 11:04

Whereabouts in Devon are you off too Natalie? we go most years and have had a lovely time in sunny and rainy weather! We aren't far from Devon (on Dorset/Somerset border) so I might have some ideas for days out x

thethreeblondies · 13/06/2013 11:06

Lol at Xpost with Legally! Love Paignton Zoo Grin

roxvox · 13/06/2013 11:14

Congratulations slippy! Glad it all went well.

caz I too have had 'getting dressed' moments that seem horrendously traumatic at the time. I am finding it difficult to dress comfy without looking like a fat slob (as opposed to the elegant, glowingly pregnany beauty that I am underneath it all not).

Natalieand we had a weekend away about 2 months ago, and the weather was terrible the whole time, but we absolutely loved it! All the rain made it cosy (and was a good excuse to eat take away and chill out in the evenings), and I don't think either of us would've changed the weather now looking back! I am sure you'll have a lovely time.

PseudoBadger · 13/06/2013 11:34

I just booked my annual leave and maternity leave - my last day in the office is the 10th September - 3 months to go! Which given actual working days and holiday is 26 days :o

GTbaby · 13/06/2013 11:38

Orange I also live in leggings ATM. But you can see hair at the hem lol

Warin last preg I had full leg and Brazilian waxes. Didn't feel any different. Pain level was the same. This pregnancy I can't get my act together. Also with SPD I just can't get in to the right positions. And I'm so swollen down there can't face a Brazilian lol.

roxvox · 13/06/2013 11:52

Thanks GT, although if you taught me anything it's that you should never leave something unfinished!

roxvox · 13/06/2013 11:54

So I am aiming to contribute to finishing this thread before I post on the new one...

roxvox · 13/06/2013 11:54

But I see on the new thread that you're going to do the same. So I will leave the 1000th post to you Smile

roofio87 · 13/06/2013 11:58

I'll just add one more post so Gtbaby doesn't get upset!! Wink
