I still have to eat every 2 hours to beat the nausea but then can't finish a full meal. Glad I'm not the only one!
I'm exactly 20 weeks today and celebrated by having someone offer me a seat on the bus for the first time, and I wasn't even wearing my badge Grin

GTbaby · 28/05/2013 21:13

Thanks jelly Wink

Funny cos on my postnatal thread everyone races to finish the thread.

Any how. Baby didn't move at all. So will have to go bk at some point.
I'm fine. Yes I wanted a girl. And I can say I'm not disappointed. But I'm not excited either. Hmm

Maybe I'm just very tiered. Im ready for bed.

roofio87 · 28/05/2013 21:14

yea I think 24 weeks is defo the next milestone. my cousin's little boy was born at 24 weeks and it was very tough and been a struggle but he's now a beautiful healthy 18 month old!!

FeministInTraining · 28/05/2013 21:28

Congratulations GTbaby and moonblues on healthy scans.

Mine went well too, but LO seems to be in keeping with the thread- had to jiggle about on the bed in a v undignified fashion and then DP had the pleasure of witnessing a transvaginal scan... Had my cervix measured (optional to check chances of preterm delivery) as sonographer thought she might be able to see what was missing that way. Figured I may as well kiss goodbye to dignity for this year... Of course it made no difference and then she tried again abdominaly and everything was fine. Awkward baby already! I'm also one of the anterior placenta gang but have been feeling movements. Explains why DP has trouble feeling them though.

Went to see the Britax Affinity. Not the smallest/lightest but we have a big enough boot and I'm not planning on using lots of buses so hoping it will be fine. Officially in love with a pram.

Haylebop my appetite isn't half as ridiculous as it was during the first trimester. Still crave rubbish but in much smaller portions!

Off to read GTBabys posts on the old thread... Welcome back Umlauf wondered where you had got to.

FeministInTraining · 28/05/2013 21:31

Roofio that must have been v difficult for your cousin and family but shows the amazing strength the little ones have! Hoping no one has an arrival that early though Hmm

roofio87 · 28/05/2013 21:55

yes I wouldn't wish anyones baby to come that early but goes to show what amazing things medical staff can do these days!!

GTbaby · 28/05/2013 22:03

Pineapple - happy birthday.

Feminist - hope they didn't disappoint you.

Im in bed watching dexter. So tiered.

SeriousStuff · 28/05/2013 22:24

Congrats gt and welcome back Umlauf.

I must have missed the posts in the previous thread about the spreadsheet - how do you make and save changes to it?

Well, we have finally moved house, but 4 days of cleaning (probably with bad chemicals), crying, arguments, a fairly major panic attack, barely enough sleep, trying not to carry/move heavy things but probably still doing too much...I'm now convinced that my baby has been permanently damaged. Have my first meeting with the new MW tomorrow and boy, do I have a list of things to discuss with her! I'm now 20+3 and yet to get a date for my 20wk scan so I'm hoping she'll at least check the heartbeat to put my mind at rest.

It doesn't help that I still haven't felt the baby move (to my knowledge).

Sorry guys, having a major stress, as you can tell!

Shirehobbit · 28/05/2013 22:27

Whoa seriousstuff that's a whole lot of serious stuff to be getting on with.
Brew or Wine?

Irishfairy · 28/05/2013 22:43

Sounds like a stressful time Serious, hope you can relax a bit now and hope the midwife app helps, hearing the heartbeat will be very reassuring.
I'm 21 weeks today and also have an anterior placenta. Definitely feel less movement than with dd but it is getting stronger and more frequent everyday. Lying down as I type this and baby is kicking a lot and I can see my tummy moving clearly for the first time. Smile All the movement I feel is fairly low down though.
My biggest niggle at the moment is heartburn, I really want orange or tropical juice but the heartburn is killer afterwards. Still keep drinking though, oh well!

MrsAFlowerpot · 28/05/2013 22:53

Sending plentiful mugs of Brew and chocolate Serious. Hoping mw app is calming.

SeriousStuff · 28/05/2013 23:17

Thanks all - shire I wish it was wine but had to make do with an Ovaltine. Mrs you've also reminded me I need to buy more chocolate...maybe on my way to the hospital tomorrow in case I get a very matronly MW!

Irish that's great that the movements are getting stronger!

FeministInTraining · 29/05/2013 00:09

Hope you have a reassuring mw app seriousstuff I think I want some Ovaltine now!

GTbaby no they didn't disappoint, tickled me Smile hope you're feeling ok.

Slippysnow · 29/05/2013 05:53

Thanks for the info on genetic counselling. App later so feeling a bit better about it.

And thanks to all the congratulations!

Wickedgirl · 29/05/2013 08:07

My favourite type of buggy is the 3 wheels variety. Mine has 3 air filled tyres ( with green gloop to stop any punctures) and it goes over every surface possible.

The bugaboos do have a handle that changes the direction but then the buggy has a mind if its own and doesn't steer properly.....try it. It drives me insane. The big non steering wheels are at the front and the buggy doesn't manoeuvre properly.

If I get really sore (SPD), I find a nice bath helps to take the edge of the pain

It is lovely reading about everyone's scan......it's amazing isn't it that in 4 months (or less), these babies will all be arriving.

I am 21 weeks today and have put on 9 lbs so far. My DH and DD spend ages with their hands on my tummy waiting for the kicks. My boys aren't all that bothered at the moment

Flyer747 · 29/05/2013 08:13

I'm trying to win the award for most weight gain on the thread so far.....wait for it.....2 stone and I'm 20 weeks!

Shirehobbit · 29/05/2013 08:23

Weight is a funny one with me - from the point I knew I was pregnant this time to now (20+2), then I've gained around a stone. But while ttc and my previous mcs, I also gained weight (hormones all over the place, depressed and massive change in exercise routine) which accounted for a stone and a half before this. So I really feel big now.

OrangeBlossom2 · 29/05/2013 08:24

Hello everyone. Just spent the morning catching up on posts. I have been away for a few days staying with DHs grandmother, then holiday in Devon, then home via in laws. It was so nice to get away and see the sea and beautiful countryside and have no phone or internet signal. I am really unfit now, gentle 3-5 mile walks really tired me out and hurt my coccyx/hips/shins/calves. Really lovely having some time with DH though and got into having afternoon naps. The baby has been very active and DH felt it for the first time which felt special.

We ate yummy cooked breakfasts and big pub lunches and dinners every day so I am expecting to have had another mammoth weight gain week. Bump is big and more rounded now.

It's half term for me now yay! In to school today then sorting out delivery of new carpets and clearing clutter as my sister will be moving out on Saturday and we can go ahead with getting the house ready for the baby.

OrangeBlossom2 · 29/05/2013 08:26

Thanks Clapham (I think) for the spreadsheet. I have updated even though we haven't had our scan yet as we will be having a surprise.

PseudoBadger · 29/05/2013 08:37

Could anyone update the spreadsheet for me? I don't have a laptop at the moment and I'm not back in work until next week so can't do it. What info is needed?

OP posts:
PseudoBadger · 29/05/2013 08:45

Shirehobbit I am exactly the same. I was happy with my weight and I then gained a stone with my pregnancy that I lost at 12 weeks in December.
I didn't manage to lose much before getting pregnant this time! So I'm about 1 stone (or more!) up on booking in weight, over 2 stone up on ideal weight....

What a year pseudo - I guess our Christmases will both be a little this year Smile?

We can worry about weight another time!

PseudoBadger · 29/05/2013 09:02

Hopefully :o
