sex didnt work for me, and it wasnt enjoyable at least HE got what he wanted out of it lol.

mrsbabookaloo · 05/06/2006 17:47

666mummy: if you look at our earlier June threads, you will see everybody's stats: there's quite a spread of ages through the 20s and 30s.

Thanks everybody for advice about the show: that's what the midwife said today. She said I was 3/5 engaged and the baby is in a good position, and there's no reason for her not to arrive this week, but she might have just been trying to be positive!

Becster, welcome to our thread, thanks for popping by!

ja9 · 05/06/2006 18:46

awww waswondering - lovely to hear your news. enjoy!

elizabuff · 05/06/2006 18:53

Quick update - Lucy Grace born 3/06 at 1.48 am(due 5/06).

24 hours of established OP labour - got to full dilation after 4 failed epiural attempts and membrane sweep. Turned out that baby was firmly stuck and even at full dilation wasn't moving anywhere. 2 (very painful!) hours later I was given a GA and she was born by caesarean section weighing 8lb 10 oz. All that labouring and they cut her out anyway!

Came home at lunch time. Got to go, she wants more food!

Good luck and congrats all.

Mitchell81 · 05/06/2006 19:33

666mummy, welcome to the june board, hope your feeling heaps better

lilac, thinking of you and hoping you have had your little baby now!!

i had tens machine which hospital hired out for free last time, it worked up to a point but then when it got really bad, that didnt work, but being in the water was fab, so if any of you girls have that facility, go for it!!

i had my show last night and some today and really strong braxton pains this morning, but now nothing!!...soooo not long to go and hopefully baby will be hear, im due 8 june so maybe will have baby on due date this time around as apposed to early like my ds!!

anyway good luck girls, off to read birth announcement board

diddle · 06/06/2006 09:25

congrats elizabuff - welcome to the world Lucy Grace, what a beautiful name, i love it.

666mummy - i bought my tens machine, as i had heard you can use it on general back pain as well as labour, and the instructions confirm that. So if I or DH get pains we can use it again.

Well 6/6/6 is here, anyone feel like they're going to deliver today??
bubbly i'm due the 8th too, bety ou beat me. i'm preparing myself for induction now, i don't think baby is going to show its face soon.

666mummy · 06/06/2006 09:34

elizabuff: congratulations: lucy grace is a v.nice name.

im still waiting going to be induced end of this week....which im not happy about at all.
fingers crossed he'll make an appearance before then, was looking forward to get in birthing pool and being mobile :(
lets hope that no babies are born today rally because there be a lil devil child hehe 6/6/06......i wouldnt mind.....40wks 6days...x x

Laura032004 · 06/06/2006 10:06

Anybody got any suggestions for a new thread title? :)

Congratulations to elizabuff & welcome to Lucy Grace. Sorry to hear you had a difficult time. It's the worst of both worlds when you have a long difficult labour, and then a c/s anyway isn't it. Hope you start to feel better soon. I could feel a real improvement a week after my c/s.

bubbly1973 - ooohhh, how exciting. Hope this is the start of everything for you. Keep us posted!

Diddle - My phone calls & texts haven't started yet, but I've still got three weeks to go! I hated it last time though. And having to listen to my Aunty suggesting that I have rough sex with DH wasn't nice!! BTW, I made DH have sex with me several times a day to get started with DS, but it was all to no avail!

666mummy - I bought my TENS machine, but figure I'll sell it on E-bay afterwards to recoup some of the expenditure. It was about £50 I think, but it was £30 to hire anyway, so not much difference really. What date have they set for your induction?

mrsbabookaloo - Glad the MW appt went well.

RachelPross - I don't think the digital ones had the wires between the unit and the electrodes. Might be wrong though. Didn't look too closely once I realised they were out of stock.

TheHun - Hope last night went well Wink

Right, best do some housework whilst DS is at nursery - I've got my MIL coming for the w/e.

Laura032004 · 06/06/2006 10:15

Spoke too soon - 3 emails in the last half hour all asking if I'd had the baby yet!!!

666mummy · 06/06/2006 10:20

lol. its nice that people care when your baby is due but but annoying hehe.
complete strangers ask when mines due!??!?!
my date for induction is friday :(

vbab78 · 06/06/2006 12:34

my baby was supposed to be due today, not looking likely but I've been having "have you had it yet" phone calls and texts for a couple of weeks and they are increasing as the days go by. Really annoying Angry ...

Do these people honestly think we wouldn't let them know if the baby did appear?!

Both my legs were really hurting last night and my feet, toes and ankles swelled up. Was also having stinging, sort of burning pains down below but still nothing ... Sad

Swelling seems to have gone for now.

vbab78 · 06/06/2006 12:37

elizabuff - Many congrats. Lucy Grace what a beautiful name. Grin

Me and DH have had a boy's name in mind for a while now but cannot come up with a girl's name Sad! When we have sort of decided on one we find someone we know has a girl called that so we go off searching again.

TheHun · 06/06/2006 13:55

elizabuff, congratulations, love the name too.

I'm the other way with names, have girls one in mind but not a boys, really struggling.

Didn't have sex last night, too tired and thought that if it worked might deliver on 6/6/06 not that I'm that superstitious. Maybe tonight.

Working from home today (don't have real mat leave as me and dh have own business) All I want to do is sit in sunshine, need to get cracking with work and stop looking at mumsnet and surfing net.

KathrynWales · 06/06/2006 16:14

Hello all,

Congratulations to all those who've already had their bundles of joy! Grin

Throughout last night I had very painful contractions about every hour. It is 15 yrs since I had my dd so had forgotten what contractions were like. Remember very clearly again now!!! Ouch!

Has eased off today so don't know what's happening, but were much stronger than Braxton Hicks...actually woke me up twice... have a feeling it won't be long...(famous last words....!)

Without being too graphic, having very watery 'leakage' of some description too Blush

Am 37 + 6 wks but baby very engaged apparently... Does anyone think I might be on the way or am I being paranoid??!! Grin

slinkstah · 06/06/2006 16:47

elizabuff congratulations:)

no news here either even though my cervical stitch is out and i did the school run today Shock i don't know what i was expecting something like the baby falling out i think!

no babies as yet on 6/6/6?

I am getting daily phone calls from MIL as if i wouldn't tell her!

diddle- don't worry im sure you won't need to be induced, i felt all normal went to bed and woke up at 5am in labour with ds.

surroundedbyboys · 06/06/2006 16:51

congrats elizabuff

ChaCha · 06/06/2006 17:30

Hey Diddle, only me!

Wishing you all the best and lovely, cuddly bundles of joy! :o Congratulations to those who have already had theirs.

Diddle, two days to go eh? Yippee, am so excited for you. I was also induced Diddle at 41weeks. My best friend too, she had the baby in two hours :o

Can't wait for the good news Diddle. Will be waiting. Love M & Z xxx

bubbly1973 · 06/06/2006 22:44

hi girls,

diddle dont worry if nothing has happened yet...i was thinking the same saturday then had show, but apparently some women have no show and boom, there in labour!!

beside, nothing going on here now, i was sure things would have started now.

katherinewales, i had exactly what you are describing, strong braxtons, very painful...and last night had watery leakage and again twice this morning

i was worried my waters were leaking and scared of getting infection so rang midwife up in hospital, and they told me to go in, so i did, and its not my waters, just part of my mucous plug coming away and bit of it is watery

sooooo another day over, no one on 666 (good)

good luck ladies, keep posting your progress so we can compare notes

bubbly1973 · 06/06/2006 22:47

for new title how about 'june06 - a beginning of a new chapter'

or

'june06 - the final countdown'

we should hurry it up though, so come on guys if you have any suggestions, lets hear them :)

666mummy · 07/06/2006 06:25

i dont think my baby wants to come oum out into the big bad world dont blame him anyways,

hope ladies you are going into labour so theres sum more great news on here.

41wks 1day- not fed up of waiting just want him to cum before the date they want to induce me, (fri) not worried about being induced now because of the amount of people on hear who have been induced.

hope today theres going to be a new birth to take my mind off mine. x x x
i, seeing the midwife soon, may have to have another sweep which i didnt like last week but it might actually work this time, fingers crossed?!"!? xxx
