Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Esmummy · 31/03/2006 11:18

Hi There, can I join.

I found out yesterday i am expected #2. We already have DD who is 20 months. This one will be due 19th November i think although not 100% on dates could be earlier.

Extremely shocked but also very very pleased :)

mygirllolipop · 31/03/2006 11:23

congrats emsmummy, welcome!
Where's my manners? prob the same place as my baby brain! Lucy congrats to you too, you are welcome here but have you thought about starting your own ante-natal thread due in Dec. I know of another lady due in Dec but she doesn't want to start the thread. The 6th is my bday btw!

Jen1209 · 31/03/2006 11:41

Tiptoeing in as I am supposed to be working. :)
Congrats to Lucy and Esmummy!

I am so tired and listless too, cannot drum up any enthusiasm for anything! Hoping this passes soon as running around after 4 littlies next week will be tiring enough!

Northener - I really can't wait for next week. I haven't managed to spend any real proper time with my friend for about 6 years as it has been day visits and such so it will be brilliant - hoping the weather holds (lovely and warm and sunny here today) so we can have lots of lovely days out!

Right, really off now, will be back on, on Monday!

J x

Esmummy · 31/03/2006 11:46

Thankyou!

I feel like i have forgotten absolutely everythin, what i should eat what i shouldn't eat, what i can and can't do etc and wasn't that long ago i was pregnant with DD.
Feel absolutely perfect at present, no sickness, no tiredness, no sore boobs all of which i had instantly with DD

awayfromhome · 31/03/2006 12:12

Hi everyone, congratulations to Esmummy and Lucy.

Thanks for the suggestions on Easter outfits, managed to get a bunny outfit, easter basket and eggs. Although got home and read the invitation and discovered it is next Friday!!!! pregnancy brain is officially here :)

I am due to be moving back to the UK in 7 weeks, so need to take a very deep breath and start organising shipping, housing etc - not really looking forward to all the hassle the way I am currently feeling...

staceym11 · 31/03/2006 12:15

hi everyone, not too bad today, think we will try and manage without a double buggy, its just a lot of effort in my area as you cant get them anywhere, and down my road they dont even fit on the pavement!!!!

hope people start feeling a bit better soon, iv realised keeping a bottle of water with me to sip is helping, but drinking too much in one go is a bad idea! lol

out clubbing tonight (dont start i know its a bad idea) as its dps 21st birthday next weds, think il be ready for bed at 8! lol dd is staying at home with my mum and dad so at least shes got no upheaval! best go have a nap while shes sleeping as otherwise il be walking dead by the time we go out!!!

MommyUpNorth · 31/03/2006 12:28

Just a thought on the double buggies. When our DS2 was born, I think DS1 was 20 months and still very much using the pushchair, however DS2 was always in the sling and absolutely loved it, so we got on ok with him in the sling and DS1 in the pushchair for aboutg 6 months and then he started walking a lot more on his own.

NatalieJane · 31/03/2006 14:32

Welcome and congratualtions to Esmummy :o

Well, I have had the first "Are you expecting?" question today, and then two minutes later someone else asked! I can't believe I am less than 6 weeks and people - strangers - are noticing!

NatalieJane · 31/03/2006 14:34

Sorry PG brain has well truly kicked in, congratulations is what I meant!!

I also managed to make it all of the way into town today before realising I had left my purse at home! Blush

fatbetty · 31/03/2006 15:58

Congratulations to all the new mums that have joined!!

NJ, I know it's better to stay busy but can't seem to get myself motivated. It took me about an hour to muster up enough energy to take a walk around the block. I need to go outside and clean out my car but I really can't be bothered. sigh.

MeAndMyBoy · 31/03/2006 17:52

Cece I just wanted to say I hope you are doing ok today. You've been in my thoughts.

Congratulations and welcome to the new ladies - we have a stats thread going feel free to add yourselves to the list.

MeggLaVache - thank you for saying I sound like a fox Grin

I'm so glad that there a few others feeling the same way - DH is cooking pork chops tonight and the smell is just awful - he's away next week - goodness only knows how the I am going to cope with having to cook for DS for 5 days :(.

I feel awful complaning but I really really want to stop feeling sick :( Ho hum.

brodiesmummy · 31/03/2006 20:08

Hi everyone, welcome and congrats to all the new folks. Can't believe how many posts on new thread!!Shock.Really must check in more often and keep up with everyone.Got my scan date 18th April,Bit nervous ,crossing fingers all will be well.I am gradually realising I will either have to walk around with jeans splayed open or give in and get ou the old maternity gear!Haven't told anyone yet except my childminder and 1 work colleague.Think mat clothes might give the game away!!!!Don't remember feeling this knackered last time but then didn't have an 18 mth old last time DH very good taking on most choresGrin

cece · 31/03/2006 20:30

MeAndMyBoy

Thanks for the message. Had ERPC this morning and back at home by lunchtime. Been in bed till a while ago. Feeling OK. No pain or bleeding so far so going to sit up and watch some tv this evening.

Hope you are OK, have been checking in occasionally on this new thread! You seem to be getting ots of newbies!

MeAndMyBoy · 31/03/2006 21:01

Hi Cece - yes lots of newbies :) which is great - not sure if NatalieJane still has the last spot or not, Ive just skimmed through the last few days and not really taken it who's due when yet.

I'm glad today has been fairly straight forward and hope you carry on with no pain and bleeding - take care of yourself. I guess your mum and dad are helping lots.

I'm ok, just feeling really sick.

spinach · 31/03/2006 21:02

cece, i hope you're okay. take it easy.xxx

MeAndMyBoy

I'm sure you will strat to feel better soon.
Take care.

Mummy2Toby · 01/04/2006 22:43

Hi CeCe,
It is nice to hear from you - you have been in my thoughts, I hope you continue to have no pain etc (((((hug))))
Congratulations to all the newbies, there is a December thread now can you believe it! I supose that could mean we might not have many more new comers now.
I am feeling much much better - I think the sickness must have been a bug because although I do still feel nauseous(sp?) I am no where near as bad as I was so things are looking up Grin
We had dh's parents round today and dh tole them that we had been for an early scan (we haven't) and that we were expecting twin girls! - my MIL went mad Shock It was only supposed to be an April Fools joke but she was not impressed - apparently she doesn't like baby girls? I could not belive it and can't help thinking that she will not be pleased if we were to have a girl - worse still I would not want her to treat a girl (if we had one) any differently to ds Angry Sorry - am getting a bit carried away now but I was soooo Shock
Stacey - I meant to ask you - did you get the bits I sent you from the for sale thread?

MINNIE1 · 02/04/2006 12:00

Morning all,

I am finding it hard to keep up with you all. I am due on the 24th of Nov this is my 2nd, well 2nd in one year! DD is 3 months and i am 6/2 wks. i have had my HCG levels checked and there above normal and i have a scan booked for wed morning.

Hope to get to know you all.

mygirllolipop · 02/04/2006 12:02

M2T I can't believe your MIL! But wish I'd thought of that April Fool's! We haven't told anyone yet. Will do next week.
Cece- good to hear from you, hope you are well.

awayfromhome · 02/04/2006 12:39

Morning everyone

Cece - good to hear from you, hope you continue to have no pain.. take care of yourself.

M2T - your MIL doesn't like baby girls??!! not quite sure how I would handle that one if my MIL came out with it.. Shock for you...

harrogatemum · 02/04/2006 13:37

No sooner had I posted on here that I wanted to join that I started having some bleeding on Thursday. I have been for a scan today which has proved inconclusive. Basically by my dates I am 7.5 weeks, however hte scan showed an embryo of no more than 6 weeks and with an "inconclusive" heartbeat (i.e. they werent sure if it was that or a flicker on the screen).

Either my dates are wrong (unlikely) or the baby stopped growing at 6 weeks. Now I have to go back in a week to have another scan to check. What a horrible wait!

Anyway, I think I know the answer as I dont feel as bad as i did and my boobs have gone down and are no longer sore as well as intermittently bleeding still. I hope all goes well for all you ladies, wishing you lots and lots of luck and good times ahead.

cece · 02/04/2006 13:49

harrogatemum

I am sorry to hear this. I hate to tell you this but it sounds very similar to what has happened to me over the past 3 weeks. I hope though that you have better news on your second scan than I did. Many women do bleed and contine with their pg I believe so keep faith.

Will be thinking of you.

harrogatemum · 02/04/2006 14:06

Hi Cece - thanks - I think I know in my heart that this is no longer viable as I am still bleeding (not much but this is the fourth day of it) and dont feel pregnant anymore. Even though its so early, its still heartbreaking isnt it?

cece · 02/04/2006 14:21

It is heartbreaking and always something that is supposed to happen to someone else. Go to A&E if it gets heavier and red. The staff were so kind to me at the EPU. If they offer you an ERPC then I would advise for it. Had mine on Friday and it was not half as bad as I though it was going to be....

Hope you will be fine but as you say you can sort of tell Sad

harrogatemum · 02/04/2006 14:23

Cece do they give you a general anaesthetic for an EPRC?
