Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
velcrobott · 29/03/2006 16:50

OK I am 8 weeks tomorrow..... so why am I not showing??? Is it because my last child is 5? Please re-assure me Blush

NatalieJane · 29/03/2006 16:58

When my sister was PG with her second, you would hardly ever have even noticed she was PG, I think it is just the way it is sometimes!

And as far as I am aware, I am showing waaaay too early, it isn't that you are 'late' showing!

I am off for the night now, G'night all :) TC xxx

fatbetty · 29/03/2006 17:48

I feel like you NJ. I'll be 7 weeks pg tomorrow and feeling like Santa Claus. I gained some weight over Christmas and had a hard time shedding those extra pounds - wonder if that has anything to do with it. I never showed with ds1 and 2 until 16/17 weeks. Just wondering how big I'm actually going to get (have visions of Verruca Salt in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory).

Jen1209 · 29/03/2006 18:10

I nearly fainted when I looked down at my belly this afternoon - at 6 + 2 it seems to be taking over my desk! Am not buying anything maternity until 12 weeks - will have to consider buying a couple of pairs of a size up trousers. I also have only 1 bra that fits nicely - aaaggghhh! I haven't lost much weight since the Xmas break though and I'm sure I read somewhere that your stomach muscles relax in the early stages of pg - if that is the case, mine aren't relaxed, they're bl*y comatose!

Finding Ginger Beer / cordial good for sicky ness when I can't face food...

spinach · 29/03/2006 18:17

velcrobott. I'm 8 weeks on friday and not showing so dont worry... I've lost 5 pounds! its all individual

Meandmyboy - thanks for all the links, which are great. But as this is my first one I have no idea what size I'm going to be in July, so will have to put off shopping for a bit, just browse for a while.

And does anyone else get fatter during the day? I'm relatively normal in the morning, then bursting out of my jeans by the time I get home!

MeAndMyBoy · 29/03/2006 19:39

Well I am the picture of attractivness tonight - NOT! waddling round with jeans undone cause they won't do up, I've dripped food down my top cause my bits stick out too far now and green from feeling sick!! and I feel soo guilty DH is in the kitchen doing the washing up while I'm on here. The kitchen smells too much of food for me to cope with and movement isn't good either. :(

glad the links were helpful, hope someone else has some as well.

MeggLeVache · 29/03/2006 19:54

meandmyboy - you sound like a fox Grin and not dissimilar to how my dh looks of an evening! Thanks so much for the links they were very helpful, I think I am being really fussy as nothing catches my eye at the moment but I guess there's quite a bit of time to get something organised on the wardrobe front.
Toady - loving the MC hammer look too Grin
Fatbetty will let you know if I see anything nice as the wedding we're going to is in Vegas so probably sweltering there too, need something nice and light and comfy but pref. a bit glam too.
NJ you still hanging on the that last spot along with Mommy then? - if this one goes anything like last time I'll have him after your due date anyway! I loved reading about your ds - so sweet.
Jen I'm with you on the belly front - can't believe I look so obviously pregnant already!
spinach am very Envy that you are still sylph like!

It's lovely getting to know all the girls here. My head is still spinning trying to remember names - hope I haven't missed anyone out - certainly wasn't intentional if I have!

harrogatemum · 29/03/2006 20:33

Hello - can I join please!!?? I am 7 weeks pg with no. 3. I already have DTs aged 16 months and it was a bit of a surprise pregnancy this time round! I have been feeling quite ropey but not as bad as last time around!

Northerner · 29/03/2006 20:41

Hello. can I join too? (So exciting to see a fellow Harrogate person here! - hello Harrogate Mum Smile)

I'm due 24th Nov, this will be my second. I have a ds who is 4 next week.

harrogatemum · 29/03/2006 20:43

Hi Northerner! How are you doing?? Now you will be able to recognise me pushing two toddlers around with a bump (well not quite yet!!). I am due 14th Nov, the day after the DTs second birthday. I must be crazy!!

Northerner · 29/03/2006 20:45

Blimey - you are going to be busy Grin

What are the chances of this one being twins?

harrogatemum · 29/03/2006 20:57

I dont know really but I dont feel as sick as I did with my first pregnancy so I am assuming that means there is only one on board. Instead of throwing up all day every day, I have just been feeling very queasy. How are you feeling?

Northerner · 29/03/2006 21:01

I feel absolutley normal. No sore boobs, no sickness. But I guess there's time for that to come......

Didn't have sickness with ds, just horrendous heartburn.

harrogatemum · 29/03/2006 21:09

will see you on here on a regular basis then! I am so sad that I am off to bed now to watch the Apprentice in comfort! Speak soon and hello to all the other Nov 06 ladies!

NatalieJane · 30/03/2006 08:17

Morning everyone :o

Welcome and congrats on your BFP's, Northerner and Harrogatemum, :o I am also 'up norf' near Blackburn.

Hope everyone is feeling good today, I have awful sickness and am wondering how if am going to make it to nursery and back with out showing everyone how ill I am feeling!

Ahhh the joys... Wink

Megg, If this PG is anything like last time, it will be December by the time the baby is born. Hope it isn't the 2nd of Dec. that is our wedding anniversary!

harrogatemum · 30/03/2006 08:23

Morning NJ - thanks for the congrats! I too am feeling very dodgy. I really have to go to work though as I have probably had about 10 sick days already this year, not for me but for the DTs being ill and unable to go to nursery. So I will soldier in today!

mygirllolipop · 30/03/2006 09:00

Morning, congrats and welcome to harrogatemum and northerner. I too was a northerner unti last year (further north than harrogate and blackburn tho).

mygirllolipop · 30/03/2006 09:08

Forgot to say, MW rang last night and apparently I have a clinic appointment on 12th (altho I don't have a letter) then I'm seeing her on 23rd (sun), so I'm pleased about that.

Northerner · 30/03/2006 09:09

Hi guys! Good morning to you all.

Well I feel like a real fraud - not showing at all and no sickness yet!

Am off to France tomorrow morning for a relaxing weekend in a chateau in the Beaujolais region without ds. Heaven. Smile

Harrogate mum - i will now be on the look out for a pregnant mum pushing twins!

NatalieJane - my ds is a similar age to yours, mine is 4 next week. Wonder how they'll adjust to a new arrival?

mygirllolipop · 30/03/2006 09:15

Northerner - my DD2 was a couple of months off 4 when DD3 was born and she wasn't interested in her at all! DD1 was a second mum when DD2 was born, even tho DD1 was 2 1/2 then. DD3 will be 19 months when this one willbe born and I'm quite nervous of that! Anyone else had a similar age gap and coped?

twocatsonthebed · 30/03/2006 09:21

hello to all our northern newbies (I'm a soft southerner, i'm afraid, despite a short spell in macclesfield...) and morning everyone else

Meandmyboy - it's good to know that i'm not the only one who has to run out of the kitchen after supper because I can't look at or smell food any more. My dp's lumbered with all the washing up too!

How's everyone else? I'm feeling sick and can't bear coffee now, which is really depressing.

fatbetty · 30/03/2006 09:27

MeandMyBoy, I felt just like you last night. I cooked a meal for the family and then I couldn't even stand to look at it or watch my family eat it. Ended up eating a bowl of Cheerios to try to get rid of my sickness.

Thought I would get a good night sleep last night so went to bed early only to be constantly woken up by kids about a dozen times. Had to eat ginger nut biscuits when I did get up to calm the nausea.

Hello to all the new mums!!! Congratulations and can't wait to get to know you.

fatbetty · 30/03/2006 09:31

mygirl, ds1 was 18 months when ds2 was born. Before DS2 arrived, I was very nervous how DS1 would be but he was great. It was almost like nothing had changed to him. I don't think he was quite aware what was happening - but we never had any jealousy between them. Though, ds1 never got upset if he saw me holding another baby where ds2 does.

staceym11 · 30/03/2006 09:46
