Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
HopingCat · 16/05/2006 15:00

Debbsy - it's a good picture. My baby was lying the other way round and my bladder was so big you couldn't really see much else when I had my last scan!

Calsworld - if you go to conversations by topic and look under mumsnet stuff there is a subject called member profiles

staceym11 · 16/05/2006 15:05

hi everyone, sorry havnt been on for ages been soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo busy!!!

jen, great news on your scan!!

Calsworld, i had sickness bands at the begining and they worked wonders almost instant, but now they dont do a lot!

spinach, try and get some rest and il send my best vibes that everything will be ok!!

nj, iv been breathless too, and jsut got a clod so its even worse now! im also huge, and theres only one baby, they also put my dates back and i still look about 8 months gone, dont worry too much!

fatbetty, thats great news on scan, my dd gets confused with babies and boobies too, its so funny!!

eeyoreuk, thats terrible what a horrible midwife, i cant believe they could be so rude!!

well tried my best to catch up but thats the best i can do!

we are finally completeing on the flat tomo, a bit worried cos worked out finances (for the millionth time) and its gunna cost us £200 more a month than we earn, bollox!!! oh well all starting now, dp will just have to work some weekends!!

am feeling slightly better with m/s its only about 1 day in 5 now so i have a semi normal life now!! am so dizzy in tesco and cant push dd in buggy up the hill easily but other than that im fine!!

wont be on until next week now as have to wait for a phone line to be put in and them to connect the broadband.

wishing eveyone ok, and speak to you all soon!

Tinasan · 16/05/2006 16:14

Hi everyone,

I am 16 weeks today and have just been to a midwife appointment and she told me that I was measuring 19 weeks (she got another midwife to check it out as well). I'm a bit nervous now as I'm pretty petite normally - I'm only 5'4 and am currently 9 stone. So I've put on about 8 or 9 pounds since the beginning. Is anyone else measuring so big? Is it normal? This is my first pregnancy so I'm full of probably stupid questions!

Thanks
Tinasan

NatalieJane · 16/05/2006 16:26

My sister was always considered big for her dates by a few weeks and she had a healthy pregnancy and baby at the end of it, and he wasn't a huge baby at birth or anything!!

Well today, I have argued with DS to eat his breakfast, got him to nursery on time inspite of the breakie war, picked him up and took him into town, took him all around town and back, come home put all the shopping away, scrubbed the kitchen literally from top to bottom, and then polished and hoovered in the living room in all of the nooks and cranies that don't normally get done Blush and I am still awake and don't feel like falling into bed, am thinking I am finally coming through the tiredness!! Hooooooray!!!! :o :o :o

That scan picture looks great Debbsy :o I can't wait for mine!!

saralou100 · 16/05/2006 16:56

nj sounds like a very active day!!! here's what i have done got up about 8, had a 2hr nap at around 9.30.. then got me and ds some lunch, which he refused to accept off me and decided to feed himself so ended up with both of us covered in food.. then had another nap for about 1 1/2 hrs from around 2.. currently feeling like more sleep is required, will probably have another sleep when ds has gone to bed.. before going to bed myself!!!!

NatalieJane · 16/05/2006 17:01

Well I don't want to count my chickens before they have hatched, but from todays experience it does get better, but it was only yesterday I was feeling like you, and people saying things like 'it will get better' and 'give it a couple of weeks you will wonder what you ever moaned about...' really didn't seem like much consolation!!

I just hope I carry on feeling better, was starting to go out of my mind with sheer bordom!!

saralou100 · 16/05/2006 17:05

i did consider some cleaning today... the house stinks of dog... but it never got past the planning stage unfortunately!!! am also starting to get very bored at home.. although i think i'm just having good/bad days, yesterday people commented on my glow and i didn't sleep when i got in from work!! i think i just used up my weeks supply of energy in 1 day!!

NatalieJane · 16/05/2006 17:08

Well I now have the dilema of letting on to DH that I am feeling a bit better, or let him carry on doing most things around the house Wink

Must admit, it was nice to get stuck into it earlier, made me feel human for the first time in about 6 weeks!!

saralou100 · 16/05/2006 17:15

i'd go with the dp keep doing it.. revenge for the rest of the time when were nnot pg and no help offered (or is that just mine)

YummyMummy87 · 16/05/2006 17:28

doesnt look like it worked.
Wow look at all those due dates at the bottom!
What is ds and dd?

NatalieJane · 16/05/2006 17:37

SL, he isn't normally too bad, maybe I will be a little bit better for now...!!

Yummymummy, you will be better off going off the most recent 'due date list' only because it is updated as peoples due dates are changed etc. :)

DS = Darling Son, DD = Darling Daughter, if you scroll right to the top there is a link or acronyms, all of the short cuts ae listed on there :)

I am not too good with links but if you copy and paste the example link in the box at the bottom of the page (next to the box that you write your message in) and then delete the news address and replace with your picture address it should create a link... I think, be sure you leave the bit in else it won't work.

Calmriver · 16/05/2006 17:37

Hi All.

I am only due 12 Dec, however my section 2 weeks earlier, makes me fall into your catagory!

twocatsonthebed · 16/05/2006 17:38

afternoon all,

Too much has happened on here, and I'm only just emerging from the pit of feeling lousy to have kept up. waves. Hope everyone is feeling OK. And I know what whoever it was said about being bored, I was boring myself. But I think I'm starting to come back now, which is a relief.

Mummy2Toby - I'm 16 weeks, and the consultant (no less) had real problems finding my heartbeat - as someone said, she said it might be because the placenta is in front.

Tinasan, I'm the same stage as you, but no one's measured me. But I think everyone puts on weight at such different rates in their pregnancy, that it's hard to compare. I've been so off food that I think I've lost some weight off my legs -but more than made up for that on my bust, which is now absurd. And it may just show more on you if you're tiny to start with.

Well I've managed to go to work two days in a row, which is a world record for the last six weeks, and am probably even going to go again tomorrow, so I must be feeling better!

NatalieJane · 16/05/2006 17:39

Hi and welcome Calmriver :)

mygirllolipop · 16/05/2006 17:58

Sorry I have no advice re hearing hb as I have said millions of times before. Where I used to live they wouldn't listen in til after 20 wk scan. Prob for the reasons of not being able to find it and ppl worrying. They thought placenta was at front with DD2 may have been but moved by scan. I was never tape measured til around 20wks either. Have appt in couple wks so will find out if this NHS trust does things diff.
Looks like the sickness I had the other day wasn't MS, as the whole family is ill, DH bn off work today and will 2moro too. Need to get loads of housework done, altho did manage a spring clean of cupboards last wk!
Hope all are well, not too sick, worried etc!

calsworld · 16/05/2006 18:39

Hi all...whilst feeling reasonably chirpy my morning sickness seems to be reaching an all time peak (or should that be puke?). I now have bruising under my eye which looks like DH has been knocking me about Blush, apparently from all the retching - I'm 12 weeks on Friday so do you think it could be the storm before the calm?

Spoke to midwife today and she said to drink as much flat lemonade as possible, for fluids and sugars, and stick with crackers - I've eaten all them so walkers ready salted will have to do! DH can do his own dinner!

I was supposed to be working from home today but I can't get a connection on to the network at home - just as well really with all the tummy upsets...I am so Envy of you all getting to the point where you can eat, have energy etc!

Debbsy · 16/05/2006 19:24

ahh calsworld dont worry im still with you regarding sickness and tiredness hope you feel better soon ((((hugs))))
