Hi, please can I join you? I am 6 + 1 today and due on 20th Nov. I am only very tentatively coming over to you as I had a m/c in Nov last year and still really frightened about it all going south again...

We have been ttc no1 for 18 months now so really hoping this beanie sticks!

Hope everyone else is feeling ok, I am nauseous most of the time but can't wear my sickness bands at work as people will notice! Also got v bloaty tummy, only 2 pairs of work trousers fit!!!

Evening all, Welcome Zink and Jen - congratulations to you both - feel free to add your stats on the list - it's great how big the list is getting. Jen I'm fairly sure I remember you from the TTC thread it's lovely to see you on here :).

Yep fairly normal for very little interest from the professionals when you go and visit. Doc's have just taken my word for it on both occasions - quite demoralising really, especially when you're so excited about it :).

Like the new board - less daunting for me

Congratulations Jen, its horrible at this stage isn't it - i too am too nervous to really get excited about it.

I have first midwife appt on Thurs - and i'm praying she can do something which will prove i am still pregnant. - but she can't can she?

When can they hear the heart beat through their dopplers?

HI Hattie, afraid they wont be able to listen to heartbeat yet... think that works around 14 weeks if i remember right... how come you have a mw appointment so early?

Soz - forgot to explain my stats had dropped off so I've put them on again with new date! Bulge definitely settling in now, as is increased nausea (thank you 7th week), bad bad temper, etc. Off on hols tomorrow for a week to what dd calls 'snow mountains'. Bad move, as ski pants' zip exploded when I tried them on [will wear DH's nice baggy MC Hammer look ones], can't stomach fondue with soft drinks, come to think of it, probably can't stomach fondue either . LOL ahead.

Coz i now live in a tiny little village where the doc doesn't know what he's doing .

I went to see him last week, left him a urine sample and had to ring the next day fo results. At the appt i discussed which hospital i wanted to be booked in at etc.
When i rang back, he said its positive - do you want to continue? i said yes, he said ok make an appt to see me. i said but i saw you yesterday, he said oh, erm, which hospital d'you want to be booked in? i told him for the SECOND time. He said, well you better make an appt to see the midwife next week!!

So i am i am sure he doesn't know what he's doing really and thought he'd best leave it to the midwife to sort me out.

I love the villagey feel about it all - when i had my first dd i was in a big town and you never saw the same professional more than once. Now in this village there is only one midwife, whichever hospital you choose or homebirth!

Is anyone else feeling really itchy? I have been awake all night scratching, I don't seem to have a rash or spots or anything, but I just can't stop scratching, wondering if it is the extra blood? It is driving me insane!! I don't remember it from PG1.

Well nausea has ramped up a notch today - feeling ugh already, usually doesn't kick in until lunch time. Back to work today after a few days off too. Typical.

Morning! Yup, feeling pretty yucky at the moment, pretty much all day. Extremely tired and teary as well.

You are not alone NJ - I have got a really itchy tummy as well although I am finding that E45 cream is helping some! Not sure what it is, I put it down to my waistbands rubbing!

I've only just found this thread.
Still expecting awful nausea which kicked in around this time last time - but nothing.

Perhaps it will start much later. I am however still very bloated and bursting out of my jeans!

I'm going to a couple of weddings in the late summer and wondered if anyone new of any nice places to buy some posh clothes, so I can spoil myself and not look like a hippo in a tutu?

Hello all the new people!

Hattie - I think the only way they can prove anything at this stage is with a scan, and even then you can only see a heartbeat after 8 weeks (I had one this week because of prev miscarriage, which was a great relief although I'm still worrying)

Jen - As you can see, there are a few of us in the same boat - there's a v supportive pregnancy after miscarriage thread if you want to come and join that too!

And yes, very itchy bust...arrgh

2catsonthebed - congratulations on getting Married :) so cool. I was 5mths when we got married. We'd already booked everything before discovering I was PG, we moved the dates so that I wasn't too big, saved me a fortune on getting my dress altered - suddenly grew a bust and the bump lifted the hem enough to not need taking up.

I'll be interested to hear where you guys find outfits for weddings. I'm going to a wedding in July and it's in Japan so it will be crazy hot and humid. I got onto the scale last night and I've gained so much weight already. I never gained that much weight with ds1 and 2, but have this feeling I'll be showing all over and not just in my stomach. I know I should snack on more healthy food but ginger nut biscuits are so much easier to grab.

am desperately trying to convince one of dp's x collegues to lend me a dress from her wedding dress shop for our wedding. hopefully it works!! lol

was trying to slim into the size 12 dress in my wardrobe (i was a size 14/16) which really aint gunna happen now!!!

my belly is huge i dont know where it came from lol!!!dd keeps asking 'baby now?' 'baby now?' she doesnt quite understand!
