Hooray for pooing evil!

Dixiebell · 02/09/2012 21:26

Been watching two local buggy boards on eBay all day, both due to end around 9 tonight, was planning a last minute sneaky bid... I totally forgot until 15 mins too late! And my phone was in the other room so didn't see the reminder. So annoying!

Catbag · 02/09/2012 21:38

I've been doing that a lot recently dixie. It's so frustrating!

MissMummy1 · 02/09/2012 22:28

Dh just phoned me from work all excited because his deckhand has just found out he's going to be a dad too (although not until april next year). Before I got preggers dh would have most likely acknowledged it with a grunt or a sarky comment, but I genuinely think he was more excited about it than the guy himself! Maybe my gooey pregnancy hormones (the ones that make me cry at tv adverts, not the ones that make me want to murder my long suffering dh) have worn off on him...

ShellyBobbs · 03/09/2012 01:37

Glad I'm not the only one struggling to eat, sorry for the ones who are overeating and can't stop Grin but you know it's your baby and NOTHING to do with you at all.........

I can't sleep at all. I've just felt weird all day, can't put my finger on it but when I went to bed tonight I was red hot and really uncomfortable, then I couldn't breathe properly because I couldn't get my breath (the usual pregnancy thing), then the heartburn started and now I've got bloody braxton hicks the worst I've had them yet and I can't stop weeing :( Not a happy bunny and hubby is going mad saying I'm not allowed in work tomorrow, I asked him what I should say if I phone in, 'I'm hot and uncomfortable'? I've not dared tell him about the braxton hicks, he'd have me up at the hospital in a flash, he's such a worrier, I've just had to sneak out of bed now he's asleep, if he knew I was up he'd be down here with me fussing like a mother hen bless him.

ShellyBobbs · 03/09/2012 01:38

Oh and Evil, bet that was a massive relief :)

TitsalinaBumSquash · 03/09/2012 05:02

MissMummy I've had a gooey DP too! He was going on about how he is longing to hear the first cry because he'll know little one is finally here and safe.

He was also going on about how he is going to show DS3 off to the world when he arrives, its his first and all his friends are young 20 something singletons, I had to gently point out that they might not care quite so much about the baby so not to be too hurt if they find it all boring quite quickly!
I'm trying to get him to watch a realistic birthing programme, I've realised he has literally no idea what to expect, he's never been around pregnant women or babies before and since it's my 3rd we're not entitled to antenatal classes of any kind.
he asked last night if the hospital use any sort of lubrication to help the baby out and I'm not sure how serious he was being Grin

I can't sleep anymore, up at 4am, I keep having really awful nightmares about bad things happening to the DCs, really upsetting and graphic ones. Sad

Good news is we finally have a gardener starting this week, I cannot wait to have a useable garden! Although summer is basically over I'm still excited, it's only taken a year and a half Blush

kirrinIsland · 03/09/2012 06:26

tits - I've had a couple of those, awful isn't it? :( I find I'm unsettled all day afterwards.

Shelly how are you feeling this morning?

horseylady · 03/09/2012 07:02

Shelly my night exactly but no bh :( think I've had about two hours sleep if that. Just heart burn, hot flushes and an inability to get comfy. I need to eat earlier. I just can't eat late on. Also needed to wee but nothing really came out.

Hope you feel better. Im about to brave work....

DesperateHousewife21 · 03/09/2012 07:08

I'm trying to cut down on how much I eat or at least eat healthy alternatives.

I've got a mw app today, hopefully won't be as rushed and unorganised as the last one.

Also my SIL is due her second baby today so we're all waiting to hear the good news from her.
She has strep b and her first baby sadly got meningitis at a few weeks old. She made a full recovery and is a v healthy 3 year old now but it means she's got to have injections throughout labour this time.

Evilwater · 03/09/2012 07:12

I can't believe it, my cat left a massive poo in the lounge carpet! and a few drops behind a chair.

Great it's just put me in a bad mood. I might have breakfast and go back to sleep.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 03/09/2012 07:35

My bastard cat keeps causing people to call me up and report that they have her! She's only a tiny thing (although healthy) and she roams, 3 calls a week at least "have you lost your cat?" always having to tell people that no she isn't lost, she comes into eat before going off adventuring again. Hmm

jaylee89 · 03/09/2012 08:40

goodmorning girlies.

well i babysat my sisters 2 week old daughter yesterday and last night and my bloody god i forgot how hard it is to be waking up every hour to fed her. well better get used to it i suppose....it was lovely to have as many snuggles as i wanted thou Grin

chill today i think and then BED EARLY!!!!!!

Brockle · 03/09/2012 08:57

Well out of my grump I think after a lovely weekend with a friend. I have a headache that I cannot shift but no other dodgy symptoms so I am hoping copious amounts of water will shift it.

Does anyone get an increase in movements when you eat certain things? Baby goes mad when I eat apples. They are my craving and have been for a while but I get kicked all over the show after an apple Smile My other two are fruit obsessives so it looks like no 3 will be the same way.

Last non working day before work and school starts again. Better get moving!

WaitingForMe · 03/09/2012 10:39

Baby went absolutely nuts when I had chilli recently Brockle

I got up this morning to discover nothing fits. None of the dresses I was wearing last week! I have meetings every day this week so just drove to Matalan and tried on the entire maternity range. It'll be leggings and tunics with ballet flats from now on. I'm hoping that smart jewellery and hair will help me pull it off. My mum reckons people won't judge but it feels wrong to be going to discuss PR with a group of solicitors in leggings Sad

horseylady · 03/09/2012 10:47

How can you feel hungry but very very sick at the same time?

I've never suffered from heartburn but does it feel like nothing can go down? Food just sits there and hurts? What can you take?

Just had an uncontrollable desire for an apple!! Had to go and buy an apple??!! How odd lol

applepieinthesky · 03/09/2012 11:31

I've been eating tonnes of food but thankfully it includes lots of bananas, strawberries, cherries and apples.

I had the most awful night's sleep last night. I couldn't get comfortable at all and think I managed maybe 2 hours at most. Busy day at work today as well and all I want to do is climb into my bed Sad

ShellyBobbs · 03/09/2012 11:32

Horsey I know exactly how you feel with the heartburn, how are you today? I did get up to go to work, but after absolutely NO sleep what-so-ever and braxton hicks that still haven't calmed down making driving an absolute no no (I can't do my job without driving being a community worker), I phoned in sick.

Baby seems to have sunk right into my pelvis, I've done 3 dribbles of poo and about a thousand wee's so far today. I managed some toast that lovely hubby brought up to bed but it's still sat in my throat now 4 hours later :( I feel like absolute shite, how I usually feel at about 37 weeks.........

ShellyBobbs · 03/09/2012 11:33

My god, what was it with sleep and all of us last night?

MissMummy1 · 03/09/2012 11:38

Another non sleeper! Horrific heartburn all night. Storm battering the house. Spent two hours throwing up between 3 and 5 then gave up and came downstairs. DH got home at 6am (they weathered him off an hour before the end of his shift...) and was a bit shocked to find me hoovering! Still feel like crap. Haven't slept at all. Horsey I've never had heartburn before either but I'm assuming that's what it is and my symptoms sound pretty similar to yours!

horseylady · 03/09/2012 11:53

Shelly am shattered but in work!! Just tried some peppermint tea to try to calm everything down. Baby is rib and stomach kicking very kindly!! Will just eat light meals today and hope it works!!

Hope your bh calm down. I'm still not sure I've had any!! Possibly when walking up hills?!

ShellyBobbs · 03/09/2012 12:00

Horsey I was happiest walking up hills last week, had no problems at all......

Just feel like knocking myself out for a bit Grin, oh the joys of pregnancy. Might go and munch on some peaches, think I might be peckish.

horseylady · 03/09/2012 12:04

Yeah I'd love to be doing that! Still in work trying to type up
A poster?! Peaches sound good. I've got salad for lunch...

TitsalinaBumSquash · 03/09/2012 12:29

I have savage heart burn, trying to ignore as much as I can (whilst chewing frantically on tums) at the same time as plowing on with the house, I nesting like mad and have been for 3-4 days now, laundry is all done, dishes are done, wholesome dinners are cooked everynight. Both hospital bags are packed and ready to go and everything is brought.
I've booked an sorted DS's birthday party on the 15th.
Garden is nearly done, it's been cleared right out and looks twice the size, it will be done tomorrow!

Baby is merrily jiggling away although all kicks seem to be in my right hip?! Bump has expanded suddenly and is really sticking out now.

DesperateHousewife21 · 03/09/2012 12:32

Back from mw appt, turns out I'm slightly anaemic so starting iron tablets today which won't help my constipation :(

Also measuring 2cm behind for dates but she's not concerned because she said its quite usual for someone of my build and I'm having growth scans and they say the baby is fine which is more accurate. Also I carry low and think that might have something to do with it.

Everything else was normal though Grin
