Ooh VQ don't have a clue (totally reusable virgin here) not sure that came out right. The waterproof covers are separate. I shall have a look today. They were just in a huge carrier bag with a small set of instructions. However your washing instructions are a great help.

Rain rain rain here and legoland discovery tomorrow so a day in finishing off the loft and watching movies with the kids methinks. May factor in a nap this afternoon!

I caught up on Midwives from last week and kept it togather until that bloody song at the end which I love. Good job DH was upstairs otherwise he would have thought someone had died. Watched Date Night last night which was very funny and did sum up parenthood perfectly.

ValiumQueen · 27/08/2012 10:14

brockle Grin What was the song?

Catbag · 27/08/2012 10:52

Really quite tickled at reusable virgin Brockle Grin

kirrinIsland · 27/08/2012 11:12

Surely reusable virgin is an oxymoron?! Grin

No real plans for the bank hol here - but I expect will go somewhere, mooch about and then come home again. Must pop in to see my batty neighbour at some point though.

ValiumQueen · 27/08/2012 11:14

Just think of the money you could make Grin

applepieinthesky · 27/08/2012 11:54

Another awful nights sleep. I'm getting used to it now. Does anyone else's baby seem to be awake all the time?

Lovely weather again today. They predicted a washout but it's been a glorious weekend. Been for a walk with the dog and waiting for DP to finish work at 1. Just realised its the last bank holiday before baby is here. I'm soooo excited to meet him now!

kissyfur · 27/08/2012 12:28

brockle I didn't cry until that song came on either when watching midwives. It usually sets me off cos it's such a lovely song.

valium it's 'to love somebody' but I can't find out who sings that version. It might be the chamber brothers but not entirely sure

kissyfur · 27/08/2012 12:42

Found it! It's by Nina Simone Smile

ValiumQueen · 27/08/2012 12:47

Sophiathesnowfairy · 27/08/2012 13:54

NervousAt20 · 27/08/2012 14:08

I haven't watched the programme since the 1st episode and was abit put off

Asda baby event starts this week, anyone getting anything?

misslaughalot · 27/08/2012 15:28

Nervous I want to try to get the Chicco video baby monitor that's in the Asda baby event. Popped in earlier today but they didn't have any. DP's mum works there though so might get her to keep an eye out for one for us. It's £45 and has good reviews, so unless anyone has any horror stories about it that's the one we're going for.

MissMummy1 · 27/08/2012 15:38

We've been given an old baby monitor. Don't think it's digital though and the walls in our house are really thick so I'm quite tempted with the chicco video one (even though we said we wouldn't get a video monitor...).

applepieinthesky · 27/08/2012 15:39

I want the Chicco baby monitor as well. The reviews are really good. misslaughalot you can order it online and get it delivered to store for free.

NervousAt20 · 27/08/2012 15:49

Just had a quick nose at that online and it does have very good reviews, it says if you buy online and enter CHICC5 at the checkout you get an extra £5 off Smile

ValiumQueen · 27/08/2012 16:20

I will get the microwave bottle steriliser as it is a very good price. Includes two bottles, bottle brush and tongs. Mine has seen better days, and I always scald myself. It is also a cold water steriliser so good for camping.

misslaughalot · 27/08/2012 16:23

Thankyou ladies, one video monitor ordered with £5 off! I love you all!

ValiumQueen · 27/08/2012 16:35

Seriously tempted by that monitor.

ValiumQueen · 27/08/2012 16:36

For my 2yo so I can see when she climbs on the wardrobe.

MissMummy1 · 27/08/2012 16:42
misslaughalot · 27/08/2012 16:42

For £40 VQ I don't think you can go far wrong...

DesperateHousewife21 · 27/08/2012 17:01

nervous will have a mooch down Asda this week. They often do packs of sleepsuits etc at a cheaper price so will go and have a look.

We spent the day at a wildlife park, had a good day but wasn't as warm as I'd hoped. Now sitting at home in my thick fluffy dressing gown!

WaitingForMe · 27/08/2012 17:08

Congratulations Catbag. I hope you had a fabulous day.

My PGP is vile at the moment but I did spend 5 hours in the car yesterday visiting my uncle's Hmm

My brother's fiancée is desperate to know baby's name. I had previously said it was in the Bible and she's a woman possessed. Nobody else really cares. I asked DH if I could confirm if she guessed it but he's now said no which seemed a bit mean. I did confirm it was on a list she found online and she got even more confused. It ended up being a really silly conversation with names being suggested that surely nobody would use (eg. Habakkuk). It felt like it's turned into some big secretive thing when we just want to check it suits him and don't want to hear that someone doesn't like it as we're 100% happy.

MissMummy1 · 27/08/2012 17:10

Feck, video monitor now out of stock online Sad

Should have just bought it while his lordship was offshore and passed it off as a gift from someone...

applepieinthesky · 27/08/2012 17:15
