Thread 3; go!

Hello - finally joining this thread after lurking forever. I'm 40, and after an early MC last year, thought I would never get another BFP. It finally happened, after a nice holiday, while the GP was doing busy referring us for infertility investigations...

Haha allchik!! I had exactly the same thought about it being 10 months yesterday!! Had a big rant to the technician about it and how it wasn't fair!!

I'm very lucky in that I'm in an all girls private school so I don't have the discipline problems but I'm still knackered! Have a very heavy timetable Mon-Weds though so I'm pretty much dead by Thurs. I'm going to say officially that I'll work til the Xmas hols but I'll play it by ear and possibly finish earlier. Loads of people are surprised I'm planning on going that long but it's just a nice point in the year to finish...

Has anyone else's energy spurt gone? I'm 24+2 and have had the best 2 nights sleep ever yet it's barely making a dent in my sleepiness now... Sad I did however get that amazing sleep due to cracking the pillow combination in bed!! It's my little triumph of the week!!!!

I'm in Aberdeen by the way. Smile

woody2313 · 19/09/2012 19:54

I'm a teacher too and have the same problem as happyhow - very heavy timetable for the first part of the week leaving me absolutely exhausted by Wednesday night... it's going to be a long term! Luckily - and it's not an easy school by any means - the kids have been amazing - giving up seats for me, offering to carry things for me - bless them!
I've considered myself lucky not to suffer with morning sickness but no one warned me about the nosebleeds [shocked] Had 2 in 3 days, proper bloodbaths!

glorious · 19/09/2012 22:31

Ooh there seem to be a fair few of us in South East London. I'm in Hither Green.

I hope my energy spurt doesn't go too happyhow, it's only just arrived!

pmgkt · 19/09/2012 22:31

I did want a section based in what I was told in my previous labour but when I saw the consultant things were not quite as I was told, ie they said I wasn't dilating but in fact ds1 head was at an angle so wouldn't fit. So they see no reason for sectioning me again. I'm happy with that as long as im not left like last time hence the appointment. I'm told that the vbac person and plan is held as being gospel so when we agree stuff that will be how the hospital will carry it out. I am taking dp with me so he knows exactly what is agreed so in labour he can push my needs while I just concentrate on labour.

PricklyPickle · 20/09/2012 07:16

I'm in South East London too! Eltham to be precise. There must be something in the water down here Smile

Happy I really don't want this energetic spell to end so soon, i was hoping for at least another month if it, so your post made me sad.

DiscoDomina · 20/09/2012 10:22

I think i'm the only one in the West Midlands!

theboutiquemummy · 20/09/2012 10:33

I'm in chuffing Norfolk !!

SquealyB · 20/09/2012 10:36

I could not agree more on the "what do you mean 10 months!!" front.....we were mis-sold this 9 months stuff! Confused. Hard to belive I have 18 weeks left of pregnancy.

I work in the City as a litigation lawyer so my hours can be rubbish and my job can be very stressful - normally I cope pretty well but pregnancy is definitely making it a bit tougher! I am going to try and work until 38 weeks (11 January) and generally start take it a bit easier from around December. A locum will be starting in January so I will have finished and be handing over client work from then which is a good thing.

preggofabulous · 20/09/2012 10:47

I'm in the south west :)

knuckingfackered · 20/09/2012 10:59

so who's gonna sort new thread link?
we're almost full!

CreepyCrawly · 20/09/2012 11:36

I'm in westest Wales. If you went any further west, you'd be in the sea.

In other news, I've ust driven the 12 miles to Tesco specifically for some raspberry Crusha because the bottle I bought on Tuesday is all gone Blush

octanegirl · 20/09/2012 12:04

Can we get to 1000 messages...? I just ate half a packet of Quirks. Oops....

mrsbugsywugsy · 20/09/2012 12:29

I'm in Sussex, I think I'm the only one?

the first month of pregnancy doesn't really count, because for two weeks you aren't actually pregnant at all, and the next two weeks you don't know about it till your period is due. Pah.

Congrats on the scan Brug. Have you given in to the temptation to find out the sex yet?

Pascha · 20/09/2012 17:00

Think I've said before, I'm in Kent. No news here, all very bouncy and uncomfortable at night but nothing unexpected. I did have my first enquiry from someone who wasnt sure if I am pregnant or not so I guess I must be showing a little bit. I'm 25+4 today, going by last time I have another 16 weeks Hmm I'd really rather like it to be 13 weeks. If I could pick my date it would be 15th December.

preggofabulous · 20/09/2012 17:42

Arrgghh! I keep dropping everything and bending hurts Sad

Lora1982 · 20/09/2012 19:24

the woman in the co op noticed ive become a fattie now... she commented on my cravings being lovely because i was buying pickled onions and peanut butter.... to me this is a normal diet no craving Grin

Pascha · 20/09/2012 19:25

Not together though?

Lora1982 · 20/09/2012 20:08
