Hi everyone!

I think I did this correctly! Eeeek! Probably not Blush I think we still have a few messages to go on the old one, so it's here for when we're ready :)

stacy I'm glad DS's ears are on the mend Smile

In Tesco today I found long-sleeve vests (in pink and in blue) a pack of 5(?ithink) for £1!! Randomly reduced but picked me up a pink flavour for the baby drawer (s)

JoJoB77 · 16/07/2012 20:44

Just marking my place, had a long hard day at work so shattered, will be back for proper update tomoro.

But Bella, my wee smelt of sugar puffs last week but i was eating a lot of them Blush

Also all this talk of christmas is making me very excited & very festive Grin

Night all

MyDaydream · 16/07/2012 20:54

I'm very lucky to have an observant manager. He notices when any of us are suffering and it always feels like he cares. I don't think he knows what to do with tears, but I feel so stupid crying in front of my boss I'm happy he ignores it until I'm done then carries on the conversation.
I'm thinking early maternity because I work long hours with a big commute on either side, I don't know how well I'll cope doing it when I'm massive.
I'm very excited by the tree I've not done one for a few years because I was living in a tiny flat. I'm going all out this year!
Your all making me very jealous with all this talk of dinner. I'm munching pineapple and chocolate raisins but have left DP to sort out dinner. I get in an hour before bedtime and refuse to cook so I imagine it's Cheerios for me.
Honeymum we're doing jungle theme too, kiddiecare have some great jungle themed wall stickers at the minute.
I bought a maternity pillow yesterday and got an amazing nights sleep and was comfy all night. It was really nice having something stopping me rolling to my front, which has been the big issue for me.

MyDaydream · 16/07/2012 21:40

I was almost right, not Cheerios but only because there was soup left. DP is sulking because I told him I'd sort it when it turned out he was going to be useless as predicted. He's sulking because I said I'd sort it while I'm actually sorting it. And I thought I was having DC1 at Christmas.

littlemissbroody26 · 16/07/2012 22:14

nutella i take an asda pregnancy pill when i remeber and when im not feeling too sick, its like swallowing a small large stone

bubbles san migel Envy

I love the name etta! unfortunatly in swedish ett means one.. i suppose it would go with älva that means 11... we could have a theme! we'd have to miss out 6 as that is sex in swedish, i think it might be verging on abuse to only name my children numbers! it is a lovely connection, my OH's sirname is "swan-mountain" in swedish so something to do with swans would be fitting :)

I can't sleep its 11.15 i have to be up in about 7 hours but i'm too nervous/excited! can't drink wine to make me sleepy, might make myself some camolmile tea!

EggsMichelle · 16/07/2012 22:36

Wow that's taken my ages to catch up, about 10pages!!!

Congratulations to littlemiss and bubbless how exciting!

I'm wetting myself with excitement for christmas, but going for the fake tree again, dont want to me thinking about pine needles in nappies! Definitely getting our decorations up ASAP, being due on 6th don't want to be caught short. Also got a plan in place if there is snow, one off the cars will have to be parked on a safe street as we get snowed in every year!!!

My digestive system has been causing me no end of drama this week, my pee smells funny but in a sweet way, which it usually a good indicator of sugar in urin (that the sugar puff effect) and I have been swigging lactulos in the desperate attempt to get that moving. Went home from work early as I was so bloated I actually looked pregnant!!!

Clarella · 16/07/2012 23:01

Hi all - woah new thread and nearly 100 already!

Been trying to squint through very sore eyes at all the messages and can't see the lovely original engagement ones but congratulations littlemiss and bubbless, a take it wedding bells in order?! Such a lovely time, enjoy every minute of it (and don't buy a wedding magazine it just confuses things!)

Names, please feel free to have my middle name as now having a boy! Elsebeth is Scandinavian for Elizabeth, shortens to Ella or Ellabett etc. you say the /e/ as an /ah/ for 3 syllables (i don't like elspeth!) Do like Etta a lot too though!

Moany bit: ( do ignore quickly)
Not great first day back, why ever did I think 'phased supported return' meant anything other than back in and oh you're on lunch duty. We don't get breaks on the lunch week. anxiety boiled over and rather large panic attack ensued after school but can't even totally work out why. Prob still thyroid stuff tbh, its going a bit too high now. No blows in my class and only one naked wee-ing wanderer from next door, and started clearing cupboards with the help of cbeebies so at least some stuff done. I just can't control this horrid anxiety and sense of disconnection. But it has to be done so Sept is not so bad I guess.

Moan over, try to sleep now. Yelped 3 times on sofa earlier as dealt 3 sharp kicks to bladder - am sure he tried the second 2 to see if he got the same response as the first!

ISpyPlumPie · 17/07/2012 00:27

Wow, so much to catch up on already! Littlemiss and Bubbles - know I'm really late, but congratulations to you both - lovely news. Clarella - sorry to hear you're not feeling too good, hope it starts to get easier. Stacey - glad your DS is feeling better.

Also, great potty training news, but sorry for all of you who are having wee issues.

Not much new with the bump here, but took DS for his 2.5 year check with the HV today. He was absolutely fine with development, language (had kind of worked that out as he's almost as much of a chatterbox as me Grin) etc but she wants to keep an eye on his weight. He's always been a bit of a chunky monkey - was on almost on the 99.9th centile at one point as a baby, then settled on the 91st - but they were never concerned before. When I used to take him regularly, they'd just say it was fine because he was bf. I suppose it's different now he's a toddler though.

She did say I shouln't get worried or upset, and that it should all even out once his height catches up. It's hard not to stress though. His diet is pretty good and he's really active, but it could be down to milk (cow's, not mine anymore!). Got to take him back in November to see where he's up to. Think his milk monster days are numbered in the meantime though.

SpottyTeacakes · 17/07/2012 06:52

Ispy he's still little I'm sure he will thin out Smile

I'm so fed up of feeling like crap I woke up at three with a headache and feeling sick and couldn't get back to sleep for ages Sad oh well crumpets for breakfast Grin

emilyeggs · 17/07/2012 07:17

Anyone else notice there bump is sometimes flatter that other times when lying down? Didn't look pregnant at all last night and worried now Sad it's my first baby so don't know

EggsMichelle · 17/07/2012 07:36

My bump is more prominent when I lay down, all the fat melts away!!! It's even bigger when I need to pee.

Been to Asda and Tesco already this morning, shopping away, DH done the washing up and now enjoying a bacon and mushroom cob. Does anyone know where I can get diabetic chocolate apart from thorntons? Couldn't find it in Asda or Tesco and I need chocolate!!! Ended up with a cheeky Hershey bar.

I need to pee... Again!!!

SpottyTeacakes · 17/07/2012 07:43

Eggs Boots sell it but you really are better off just eating small amounts of dark chocolate. Unless you hate dark chocolate, then that's a problem Smile

FriendofDorothy · 17/07/2012 07:43

You can buy diabetic chocolate from Boots I think.

SpottyTeacakes · 17/07/2012 07:43

eggsMichelle that is Wink

EggsMichelle · 17/07/2012 07:47

Aah I love dark chocolate, that's my favourite. Ofcause there is less sugar in the very bitter stuff (yummy). I will have to treck to boots, need a stock of different chocolates.

I want to change my name, I was obsessed with eggs until 10wk and now I can't stomach them again and just my name makes me feel queezy!!!

PrunellaDeVille · 17/07/2012 07:51

ivana being prunella on here makes up for the fact that i can't pronounce my Rs properly and i will never have a DD Pru as i would like (or prudence). It'd be great if there were a new little pru out there soon....Wink

PurplePidjin · 17/07/2012 07:54

Michelle, do you have a Holland & Barrett or Julian Graves nearby? My little local one has all sorts of goodies.

emilyeggs · 17/07/2012 08:02

Eggs my bump is also more prominent when I lay down, (don't really look pregnant standing, still I'm size 12 jeans) it hast wasn't there last night Sad

SpottyTeacakes · 17/07/2012 08:05

My bump wobbles like jelly in the car Hmm

I want to buy my pushchair now!! I know it's too soon though!

SeymoreInOz · 17/07/2012 08:42

Wow these threads move fast! Congrats littlemiss! And bubbles I am Envy of your ring.

I had my 20 week scan today. It was weird going without DH but the hospital copied the whole thing to DVD so I will make him sit through all 20 minutes of it when he gets home next week! I didn't find out the gender but everyone who's seen the pic is saying it looks like girl. I will post a pic to my profile in a minute.

I met my midwife today, she's lovely. She works on a team of 4 but I will see her now for all my appointments and if I'm lucky she will deliver the baby!

SeymoreInOz · 17/07/2012 08:46

Ok, I think I've uploaded the picture, my first one! Can anyone see it?

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 17/07/2012 09:02

Seymour your profile is private you will have to make it public for anyone to view it.

Sooooo tired just can't sleep at night, doesn't help I now have thrush (brought on by my antibiotics) so was irritated all night, back to the chemists for me today, they'll be giving me frequent flyer miles at this rate!!

SeymoreInOz · 17/07/2012 09:06

Ok, I think I've just done it? Oh no, thrush is so annoying. I had it constantly last time around, even the tablets didn't help!

littlemissbroody26 · 17/07/2012 09:09

Hello :)

seymore I cant see your picture, but i am fairly new to all of this, am i supposed to click on your name? congrats on the scan, i hope you enjoy watching it with OH when he is home.

We had our scan today, the baby looked healthy and our bubba is a little boy Grin they couldnt see one of the arteries so we have to go back next week, she said it was because he rolled over half way through the scan. Im trying not to panic... has anyone else had to go back for a rescan about anything? the heart and all the other arteries looked healthy.

SeymoreInOz · 17/07/2012 09:15

Congrats on your boy littlemiss! Try not to panic, although I know it is easier said than done, the fact that the sonographer said it was because the baby was in the wrong position is a good sign.

Yes you can view profiles and pictures by clicking on the name. I've been on MN for a while and have only just set up my profile. Blush
