Hi everyone!

I think I did this correctly! Eeeek! Probably not Blush I think we still have a few messages to go on the old one, so it's here for when we're ready :)

Willyoudothefandango · 01/08/2012 22:04

stacey I'm the same, I'm dreadful for getting carried away. Legs are still okay but the stretchy arms up ones kill me. My sides refuse to stretch any further, too busy stretching out to stretch up! I really enjoy it too, even trotting along at the back with all the old ladies!

HoneyMum21 · 01/08/2012 22:05

Bump has his cardiac scan tomorrow Confused

Willyoudothefandango · 01/08/2012 22:09

Sorry if ive missed this honeymun was that something that was raised at your 20 week scan? Good luck for tomorrow

HoneyMum21 · 01/08/2012 22:13

Thanks willyou - not from the 20 week. DH was born with a hole in his heart so they're doing a detailed cardiac scan to check bump's heart in case he needs surgery quickly after he's born.

CODwidow · 01/08/2012 22:14

Congrats on your little boy fod my little lady is also measuring a week or so ahead of dates just around her belly so they will be keeping an eye as ds4 was 9lb 10oz.

Willyoudothefandango · 01/08/2012 22:19

Oh right, well it's good that they're keeping on top of it. Fingers crossed fr you

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 01/08/2012 22:22

willyou I can't keep my arms above my head for too long as I see stars! Lol I'm still in my place at the front of the class with my instructor keeping a very close eye on me!

honeymum good luck for the heart scan tomorrow. I'm sure everything will be fine for your little one!

ivanapoo · 01/08/2012 22:28

Utopian my employer won't pay anything in lieu but have agreed I can take Christmas holiday days when office is closed before starting mat leave. Worth asking, either way you are entitled to those days if they come off your annual holiday allowance.

COD glad you and others are having similar amounts of movements, I have no clue what to expect!

ellliebelle · 01/08/2012 22:54

Congrats on scan news from today and good luck for tomorrow honey ive had a mixed day, packed my dd's off for 5 nights away with grandma and grandad then had a bit of a panic /anxiaty attack :( then went to the cinema and felt baby kick for first time :)

cherrypiew3 · 01/08/2012 23:45

Congratulations on scans today and good luck to anyone with a scan tomorrow.

MyDaydream · 02/08/2012 02:32

I can't believe I once thought I could co sleep once baby was here. I'm solo sleeping on the sofa because I'm so sick of telling DP to stop breathing so heavily, roll over, and get your arse off my side. There's no room in our bed for a baby because there's no room for me in our bed. He'll act all guilty in the morning but he'd never have come down here tonight.

SpottyTeacakes · 02/08/2012 06:13

Oh mydaydream I have a noisy breathing, rolling over, dead weight dp too! Can you get a baby bay or side car cot for baby?

Barbeasty · 02/08/2012 07:15

Mydaydream last time DH moved to the spare room for a month or 2 so I could co-sleep, but more about him actually getting enough sleep to be productive at work than making room.

Honey good luck with the scan. Hope all is ok.

I had a really frustrating day yesterday. We spent a day of our "holiday" looking at pushchairs. I wanted to see the Pear in the flesh, as converting our Apple to that is the cheapest option.

We went to a shop 40 miles away, which has always had it in the past, only to find that because of a delay on icandy stuff at the moment they'd had to sell the display copy. Only one other double on display.

So, elsewhere for luch (lovely and relaxed as DD was at nursery!) and to another stockist. Same there.

Then we decided to try a stockist closer to home but the other direction from us. At least they had it in, but when we were talking to them it looks as though we will have to convert ours from the jogger first by getting a 4 wheel kit and then convert to the double. They aren't sure on the price but guessing from the cost of converting new 4 wheelers to the jogger it's an extra £75. So all up in the air again.

We did manage to get to nursery with 10 minutes to spare before they closed though!

I think I'll have to go over to the pushchair board later and get some advice.

I'm in two minds about doing an NCT course now too. I didn't bother last time and regretted it.

I have a space reserved now, but on the normal full course. They have now said they do a refresher course but only in a town 15 miles away (mine will be in local town 4 miles away) and I'm mainly doing it to meet local(ish) people having a DC at the same time as me.

DH is refusing to go anyway (long standing argument this one, and part of why I didn't do it last time), but it turns out I know the instructor so happy to go alone. And I know she does lots to cover c sections which hopefully I'll need.

I just need to convince myself to part with the money for the full course, I think.

Being pregnant seems to have sapped what little decisiveness I had. Grrr.

EggsMichelle · 02/08/2012 07:44

I couldn't cosleep, I'm too much of a fidgeter (even the cats won't sleep next to me!) and I sleep walk. Think Shrimpy would be happier in his own bed!!!

Up once for the toilet last night, but got back off to sleep, such a relief.

Good luck with the heart scan today, another chance for you to see your little one.

NaomiRuth · 02/08/2012 07:55

Good luck for scans today and congratulations to the scans over the last few days.

I finally bought a dream genie pillow yesterday and it's brilliant. It kept me on my side all night as it supports you at the back and front. Takes a bit of getting used to in bed though.

Scan in 13 days, feels like ages still!

I'm starting ML at 35 weeks as want to sort our house out (we're moving in September) and can't face the commuting to London too close to the end.

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 02/08/2012 08:29

I've never been able to co sleep. Dd went into her own room at 5 days old coz she kept me awake and vice versa. Blush I know that's not great but the likelihood of me killing a child that never slept was far higher than any cot death risks tbh. You have to do what works for you.

I was up twice in the night for a wee (I've always woken up overnight for a wee though so only 1 extra) but managed to get back to sleep again no problems which is quite nice.

Barbeasty that day shopping sounds like a nightmare tbh! I hope you get some luck with it soon!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 02/08/2012 11:03

i think the baby has hiccups Grin lol it hasnt stopped fidgetting today, this ones never going to sleep is it?!

Bubbless · 02/08/2012 11:54

daydream the 'off sick before mat leave' rule rings a bell, so technically if you were to play the system if i decided to start mat leave on the 1st of dec i could leave at any point after 1st nov through the 'im sick' route? i just think its so unreasonable for us to predict how we are going to be in a months time!!
i kick dp onto the sofa because the only way i can be comfy in bed is if i starfish spread out.. a little.. whoops!

i dont think we have to drink for our 20 week scan as their is more of.. eveyrhting inside our bellies to push bumps up!

im also looking on ebay, so many good bargins!!

advice please!! ive managed to find a carseat on a fb baby buying page, so its a car seat + isofix for £80.. is that good?!
also, i was in agony last night :( i had really really really bad crippling cramp pain in my belly, so bad i was crying and dp wanted to take me to the hospital but i was so exhausted i didnt agree (should have done, tbh) its fine now.. totally normal, has anyone else had this?!

congrats to those who have found out the sex! me and someone? (baby brain) have the second to last scan on the 8th.. so were nearly done!!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 02/08/2012 12:04

Bubbless please ring the midwife and see what she says about pain, i've only had pulling ligament type pains but if i'd had anything like bad cramps i'd want the midwife to check!

Barbeasty · 02/08/2012 12:10

I think the sickness rule is that if you are off with pregnancy related illness in the 4 weeks before your due date they can force you to start maternity leave then.

I should give up on the shopping lark. I've brought my 2 SIL and the youngest niece and nephew to Cribbs Causeway and the niece was sick all over DD's car seat, which I need to collect her from nursery tonight! Having my hair cut now though, and a good look in the shops.

Bubbless · 02/08/2012 12:19

i hate my mw

just rang her and she dismissed it as everything stretching....
might go to a and e if it happens again, that was more than a pulled muscle kinda pain!!

FriendofDorothy · 02/08/2012 12:23

I have had an horrendous night. I had chronic diarrhea all night and I have to go into work this afternoon. Have texted my boss and told him I am off sick this morning but will drag myself in this afternoon.

I ended up taking some codeine as I know it is relatively safe in pregnancy and should bung me up a bit. I am not that keen on taking stuff though!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 02/08/2012 12:29

bubbless definately go to a+e if it happens again. a midwife shouldn't dismiss you like that!

Bubbless · 02/08/2012 12:30

friend that sounds horrible!! make sure you drink LOADS.. like.. attempt to drown yourself through so much liquids.. otherwise you risk dehydration...

Maazaa · 02/08/2012 14:45

bubbless Definitely go and checked out, no harm in being extra cautious.

Sorry to moan, especially as I am so new, but I am so fed up today. I just don't feel glamourous and blooming. Was in floods of tears this morning and have MILFH coming later which I find stressful at the best of times but feeling particularly defensive of my little family at present. My rational head says I am hormonal. Anyone else feeling like a crazy woman?
