Hi everyone!

I think I did this correctly! Eeeek! Probably not Blush I think we still have a few messages to go on the old one, so it's here for when we're ready :)

weejo 1 pack is never enough, 2 is 100% neccessary!

emilyeggs · 16/07/2012 14:01

Maybe a stupid question but I've washed clothes in persil non bio and comfort pure (use it all the time anyway) both have British skin foundation label on. Should I use fariy?

SpottyTeacakes · 16/07/2012 14:10

No that will be fine, I just like the smell of Fairy Wink

kate2boysandabump · 16/07/2012 14:45

LittleMiss Congratulations!!!!! and you can speak Swedish Shock I am in awe ...

Bubbless Congratulations!!!! Lucky you with a new ring.
I don't know why the midwife does a home visit. I've had one for each my pregnancies, it's just like a routine ante natal visit, but I don't have to go out in the rain to get to it.

I always wash baby clothes in non-bio before they're worn and anything I've knitted. I think that clothes are treated with some kind of starch before they go into shops, so I'd want to wash that off.

Maternity clothes have come a long way! My mom had 2 maternity dresses and that was it, one to wash and one to wear.

littlemissbroody26 · 16/07/2012 14:55

thanks for all the washing advice! i will try and pick up some non bio, i wonder if its too early to wash them.. they might smell musty by december!

My swedish isnt perfect, conversationally its good, but i will go back and study more advanced swedish when the baby is a little over 1.

Bubbless · 16/07/2012 15:00

i know im expecting a lot but in my ideal world id go into hosital on my due date, to a light dusting of festive snow not so much i get snowed in like last year.. give birth easily then stroll home with baby and dp to a beautifully cleaned / washed / ironed house..
(in reality, il do all baby washing in early dec so we are ready!)

anyone else irrationally hoping for a beautiful 'dec / christmas' birth with fairy lights and roaring fires?!

kate sounds really weird to have a home visit, might save on my petrol though!! aha

SpottyTeacakes · 16/07/2012 15:02

What's everyone planning for dinner? My plan of chicken, chips and salad just isn't sitting right with this horrendous weather!

Bubbless · 16/07/2012 15:09

spotty id class that as a summer meal!
although im not sure what we are having yet :/

Bellaboo123 · 16/07/2012 15:15

Yay another new thread!

Congrats on the ring bubbles and congrats on the proposal littlemiss that's wonderful news!!!

I'm on the hunt for a nice maternity white shirt - anyone found a good one yet?

Also TMI but my wee stinks and has done for a few weeks. Its not a funny colour nor does it hurt when i go...any ideas...? The MW tested me a few weeks ago as something lectins (i think) showed up in my urine test which indicates an infection but it came back negative. Anyone else having smelly wee?

MyDaydream · 16/07/2012 15:17

I'm in a mixture of baggy dresses and stretchy tops, but the dresses are only baggy now once bump gets bigger they'll be more bump showing. I'm still struggling a bit reminding myself it's baby not biscuits anymore!
I don't know about pricing for mamas and papas factory shop, I've never been I just see the signs for it a lot so googled the location and it came up with a forum talking about a more southern one too.
I love the name florian although that could be something to do with a beautiful florian I once worked with!
Little miss congratulations on the engagement. Tabitha is our first choice girls name I love it.
My manager asked me if I was okay this morning and I cried because I wasn't and I was happy he'd noticed. I'm really considering taking maternity in October, but I need to get DP to okay it first.

Bubbless · 16/07/2012 15:23

bella my impression was always that smelly wee = your not drinking enough water
but im no healthcare professional! go to the docs if your still worried?

h and m had a good range when i went in, maybe have a look- i saw a few white tops / shirt and lots of garish shit

mydaydream how are you feeling now? better i hope? hormones are taing over in everyone.. im upset that you were upset!
we are also talking about maybe taking maternity in oct.. sometimes its the best option!

littlemissbroody26 · 16/07/2012 15:26

I am hoping for a magical christmas.. i think we will get a tree early so if i do have the baby on my due date i wont have to put a tree up with a new born. i only want a real tree so i will have to get one of those long lasting ones.

I will be in sweden for christmas for the 1st time this year sob they will most likely be snow but they eat cold fish and porridge for christmas dinner :( im going to feel so homesick.

SpottyTeacakes · 16/07/2012 15:28

Umm cold fish and porridge?? As you will just have had a baby I think you should be allowed a traditional English Christmas dinner

Bubbless · 16/07/2012 15:31

littlemiss i LOVE christmas since ive moved out, its a happy occasion but my DP sees it as 'another day'
i want the tree up on the 1st incase DC is premature! and it can be all christmassy!
cold fish and porridge.... talk to someone about cooking you a decent meal?!

littlemissbroody26 · 16/07/2012 15:31

I think i will need a traditional roast! My mum will be over so maybe she will make me a roast :)

Does anyone feel like alltho if the baby is born before the 25th this year will be their official 1st christmas but next year will feel more like their actual 1st christmas as they will be all interested in the lights and pressies boxes the pressies came in

MyDaydream · 16/07/2012 15:31

Bubbless I'm better but I'm just stressed with work and feeling like I have no time to myself. Then I feel bad about feeling stressed because its bad for baby!

littlemissbroody26 · 16/07/2012 15:32

bubbless we can both put our trees up on the 1st with our nice big bumps :)

Bellaboo123 · 16/07/2012 15:33

thanks bubbles i drink loads of water during the day that's the strange think - at least 2.5 litres...! Might speak to MW about it.

mydaydream hope you're OK, our bloody hormones are all over the place, at least he noticed!

Off to have a look at H&M!

SpottyTeacakes · 16/07/2012 15:34

Dp doesn't like the tree up before his birthday (18th) not that he ever gets his own way Wink I like it down ASAP after Christmas so like it up nice and early, will probably do first weekend of December and only real trees allowed in our house!

littlemissbroody26 · 16/07/2012 15:34

hugs mydaydream maternity leave in october saounds ace, only a couple more months to go!

FriendofDorothy · 16/07/2012 15:50

We are going to be lucky to have a house to put a tree up in at this rate. We are trying to buy and it keeps getting delayed... and we have about 3 months work to do to it when we do finally get our hands on it :(

Bubbless · 16/07/2012 15:55

littlemiss talk to your mum a few days before christmas about wanting a proper dinner, she will get the hint!
how long before the 25th are we talking? like.. 24th i would count 2013 as first christmas really.. but maybe 20ht or before this year will be first christmas!
very exciting, i love doing the tree! is it bad that im already excited?!

bella if your drinking that much id go to the doctors, it should be very diluted..

i feel like a bit of a fraud having my maternity leave in oct.. as ive been off for 9 weeks of the preg already due to sickness, and now ive got the summer hols which i dont work!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 16/07/2012 16:03

Oh friendof that sounds rubbish :( hopefully things get a move on soon.

Not even thinking about Xmas but as we are under pain of death if we don't go to mil's house I'll just have to go there and be spoilt. Might even give having our own tree a rest this year as we won't be here on the day anyway it seems like a lot of flaf with a huge bump/newborn.

Think I'll probably deny that baby is coming until after ds's birthday which is the 4th nov so it'll be very late by the time I decide to organise myself. Lol
