I've just had my high risk doctors appointment. Everything is fine. Spoke a bit about birthing options and got to hear the heartbeat which is always a joy. I'm measuring spot on for my dates. I was a bit worried that I was too big, I feel huge, but feel a lot better now. So it's all good.

Slings were mentioned. I've found a place not too far from me that has a sling library so you can try them out before. Not sure whether to do it before or after baby is here.

DH21 have you joined the toys r us baby club? Think it's called the hold club? Well if you join they send you money off vouchers quite often and 20% vouchers every month or too I think. Also if you pick up one of there cataloges from in store im sure they have vouchers in too

Chunkychicken · 31/07/2012 12:04

I had a very, very brief look in John Lewis yesterday at doubles and have totally fallen for the Donkey (its so, so clever, & light!!!) and actually really liked the Baby Jogger City (with the carrycot/cocoon) thing but with moving etc there is absolutely no way whatsoever we can justify spending even the £500-600 on the Jogger let alone the £1k+ on the Donkey. We just won't get the use out of it.:( We have discussed having a 3rd baby, in which case, we could justify the extra cost for a double, but that's prob a poor reason to have a 3rd child Blush - although seriousness, if money was no object, we'd have 3 children... I'm resigned to waiting until I get proper internet again, rather than on my phone, doing some shopping around & seeing what comes up on eBay/preloved etc. It's SOOOOO complicated!!! Confused

Oh and Lane sorry about your job too. That sucks.

horseylady · 31/07/2012 12:07

So I've been sent home from work sick as I can't talk. The bloody phone has not stopped ringing since!!!! What part of I'm sick and can't talk do people not understand?!!

Called drs who said just rest up and take patacetamol. Have we got any?! No?!!! Need to buy some!!

Will look at the nappy offer too!

NervousAt20 · 31/07/2012 12:31

We've booked our 4D scan Grin im so excited to see our little girl again!

DesperateHousewife21 · 31/07/2012 12:31

missmummy there are cheaper ones in mothercare that lie flat if you're wanting something from newborn. Don't know how warm they'd be in the winter though.

nervous yeah I joined them when pregnant with ds, they never send me anything though!

Passmethecrisps · 31/07/2012 12:43

Nappies arrived! How cute! Love them completely.

Also went to sainsbury's to pick up my mum&baby bundle so got huggies newborn nappies with a box of wipes free. Babytastic!

I am now sitting in the garden with the cat on my knee. Lovely.

stunt I have no idea if this is relevant to you working arrangements but I have a friend and colleague who was due to be interviewed for her own job (similar situation to yours) the same time as she was due. The interviews were held off completely until she was ready to do them. I have idea if this was just good grace on the part of our boss but it might be worth asking.

ValiumQueen · 31/07/2012 12:47

Nappies taking for ever to dry. Put a couple in dryer with other clothes as I want to try them tonight. If I could get outside to hang them up I am sure it would be ok, or if the heating was on.

kissyfur · 31/07/2012 12:49

Sorry to hear about you ladies who have been made redundant Sad

I had my MW appt yesterday and am measuring 26 weeks when I'm only 24 weeks, think I was pretty big with DD too though so not too worried, should I be?

DD is still under the weather with a high temp, she's had it for 3 days now. I took her to the doctors yesterday and they said it was just a virus, can't help but worry tho!

ValiumQueen · 31/07/2012 12:52

kissy I hope your DD is soon feeling better. It is hard not worrying about them. You read so many stories about children being sent home from GP with a virus and then something horrid happening. just trust your instinct, and if still not right, take her back.

Thechick · 31/07/2012 13:01

Kissy I'm 26 cm at 24 weeks and the doctor said I was spot on.

NervousAt20 · 31/07/2012 13:06

DH21 might be worth checking online that your still registered, I get emails and post all the time. They've not long sent me a 20% voucher (in an email) you can only use it within 3 days from the day they send it but it should be a few more weeks before they send another but when they do I'll let you know and if you haven't got your double then I can PM you the link so you can use it, if you'd like

DesperateHousewife21 · 31/07/2012 13:34

nervous ah thanks that would be great. I'll check online to see if I'm still registered too.
