blonder I?m the same. I get very emotional to think my baby will be born in such a great year. And year of the Dragon as well!

I?m in the organised camp. We have got literally everything ready and have so many 0-3 clothes that my mum is now buying 3-6 months and 6-9 months Grin

Thechick · 30/07/2012 11:45

I've come out in little welts on my face. Thought it could be the antibiotics I'm taking or thought i might have been bitten, or some of the imported west indian fruits that love that i haven't eaten for years that I bought from a market stall, oh I had some home made fudge too. Spoke to the doctor and she thinks its the fruit and not to eat any more. I'm gutted because i bought loads and now scared to eat any fruit and any nuts. I know I'm being silly and prob will calm down in a couple of days.

swiss you aren't having a good time at all are you. It all sounds very painful.

NervousAt20 · 30/07/2012 12:31

Hope you feel better soon horsey and enjoy your day at the Olympics

Ouch swiss that sounds painful! When your DD naps Put your feet up too

We're in the organized camp Grin the carpet in the baby's room going down this week then just need to build all the furniture, buy a mattress, bedding, some curtains and hopefully a nursing chair and that's that room all done then just need some bibs, hats and stuff like that I think :-S

apple we've brought a few things 3-6M and 6-9M when we went to the next sale. I want to get as much as we can now even for when she's bigger so we have less to pay out then when we have less money coming in

TitsalinaBumSquash · 30/07/2012 12:34

Gosh, have you ever felt so tired you've cried? Sad

Slept all night but after walking round Tesco with my 2 boys in tow, I can't see straight for exhaustion.
I also can't manage any more than a Tesco walk without the pain between my legs and in my hips becoming unbearable.

Ugh 15 weeks seems like a lifetime away.

MissMummy1 · 30/07/2012 12:41

I've just gone a little bit mad (but feeling mighty chuffed with myself. After reading how organised some of you are, I stopped into a little baby boutique shop on my way home. I have accidentally just managed to buy the ENTIRE mamas and papas hodge podge range (2 growbags, cot bumper, mobile, rug, changing mat, sheets, toddler duvet and pillow, toys, cushions, lampshade, pictures everything and more!) for £160! It seems really steep but altogether the rrp pre-clearance sale was over £1000 and the stuff has a great resale value on ebay. Keep telling myself we can justify it as inherited cot and nursery furniture. Just a car seat, changing bag and mattress and some more wee bits and pieces to buy and we are sorted!!

applepieinthesky · 30/07/2012 12:48

Yes that?s my thinking as well nervous. The more we can get now the better because when I?m on mat leave money will be very tight.
Got loads of newborn nappies including some I was given, and the next size up as well. Have also got a swimsuit and bits and pieces for our holiday to Ibiza in May. I?m hoping to have the holiday paid for by the time my money drops to SMP. Otherwise we wouldn?t be able to afford a holiday at all next year.

NervousAt20 · 30/07/2012 12:51

Wow missmummy sounds like you got a great deal!

ValiumQueen · 30/07/2012 13:17

Wow missMummy that is a good mornings work! I hope they are delivering it? Sounds lovely, and it does sell well.

tits online shopping is the way to go. I am finding it really useful for budgeting too. I think the silver lining to my break is that I have faced my fear and am now won over by it.

Nappies have arrived and are in the wash. They need washing three times before use, so will not be on her bot tonight. Lovely and soft, and both DD1 and DD2 were trying to put them on, so I don't think I will be met with any opposition. They do seem a bit bulky, but very cute. The fleece liners are the softest I have ever seen. The red nappy cover looks more peachy to me though, so would not get that again.

kissyfur · 30/07/2012 13:17

Wow missmummy that really was a bargain! Grin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 30/07/2012 14:23

missmummywow, barginous, you are right my DDs had the zeddee and rhubarb mamas and papas nursery stuff and I sold it easily on eBay. Could you come and negotiate something for me!

horsey are you at the cross country? If so Envy. I would have gladly gone for your you were feeling too rough! Anyway, whatever you went to seek hope you had a great time.

I have just sold my Bugaboo Cameloen on eBay Sad I loved it, I put it back into pram mode for the lady who is coining to collect it tonight and it made me really nostalgic. On the bright side I am going to pick up DH from work and we are collecting our Donkey from Waitrose on the way home. Grin

DH can be a bit of a tight arse extremely careful with money but is happy to splash the cash as far as the buggies are concerned. I don't question it. Is fine with me!

Catbag · 30/07/2012 14:24

Been getting tightenings a bit over the last couple of days. Seems to be after sneezing, bending over to pick something up or having a big wee. Really not very comfy :(

izzybizzybuzzybees · 30/07/2012 14:28

We are just back from the pram centre. Spent almost 2 hours comparing the prams we liked, folding and unfolding etc and even trying it in the boot! We have went for the Uppababy Vista in the end :-)

Sorry to hear about all the pelvis problems and horrible shifts. My pelvis and hips are bothering me more and more but I stop work soon thankfully. I'm stopping quite early compared to last time but I'm finding my 16.5 hour nightshifts very knackering! Being pregnant with a 2.5 year old isn't much fun as I can't just go off to bed like I did when I was pregnant last time!

ValiumQueen · 30/07/2012 14:28

Jealous of the donkey but not the tightenings.

DesperateHousewife21 · 30/07/2012 15:25

I get tightenings all the time too. If I cough, need the loo or have walked alot in the day.

missmummy great bargain!

We still need to get the buggy (which family are chipping in for!) I've got enough clothes for a month I reckon so what I still need to get is a really nice blanket. I've got white ones for everyday use but I want a really colourful, comfy one and I don't mind spending about £20 on it. Just need to find one now!

MissMummy1 · 30/07/2012 15:37

DH21 my DH went a bit nuts and bought the mamas and papas gingerbread blanket a few weeks ago (before I discovered their hodge podge range hehe). He got it in the sale for £28 instead of £35 which isn't really a bargain but it is lovely and soft and beautiful colours (it's the stripey one btw!) I plan to use it as more of a pram blanket or one for downstairs although my gran has also knitted us a few. You might be able to get it cheaper on eBay or somewhere like that. There's certainly plenty of other lovely ones on there anyway!

Thanks ladies, I'm so chuffed with myself! Getting it all delivered to the new house in a weeks time. FINALLY beginning to feel organsied (although we move in 2 days and still not finished packing...)!

MissMummy1 · 30/07/2012 15:39

Which buggy are you going for dh21? We bought the mothercare my3 but i'm already itching to get another smaller lightweight one to keep in the car...

TheDetective · 30/07/2012 15:56

DH jojomamanbebe have a gorgeous striped colourful blanket, we have bought it. It was £20 but got 20% off that with a voucher online! I'll link it later for you when I'm home!

Brockle · 30/07/2012 15:58

Wanting to be on the floor doing lego and actually being on the floor doing lego are two very different things. Feel really guilty not getting down and playing with them so I am now suffering for the re-building of the star wars lego. Kids are happy though and embarking on Chamber of Secrets! Hoping thirty minutes rest will get me up and about again.

Had a major wobble last week but got myself together and wrote a long email to HR and Health and Safety and managers about the PGP being really bad at work. Just wanted to cover myself by informing them that I was finding it a struggle. They have suggested a few better routes to work and starting my maternity leave early (which I don't want to do). If I take sick leave for it later on can they force me to take maternoty leave earlier than I want? Office policy is that they can make me take maternity leave four weeks early if I go on sick leave for pregnany related illness but they wouldn't be able to earlier than that would they? My boss has offered to take me to work on Thursday though which will be gratefully accepted Smile

swiss mums are brill, take advantage and have a rest. It will give you some time to think. Men can be totally selfish bastards can't they?

All the organising is making me nervous. May have to do a loft sort this weekend and get the newborn/0-3 out. I love finding stuff I forgot I had!

sorry this is long!

Passmethecrisps · 30/07/2012 16:13

izzy we are pram buddies! What colour way did you go for in the end?

rowingdowntheriver · 30/07/2012 16:21

I've just bought my buggy!

Got a Phil & Ted's double sport second hand from the for sale section of Mumsnet. Was such a fluke as only looked for the first time this morning and the only pram advertised was the one I wanted and being sold by someone who lives 20 mins away from me! I picked it up this afternoon. Now just need to see if I can remember how she told me to unfold it!

kissyfur · 30/07/2012 16:32

Missmummy we have the gingerbread blanket and theme for DDs room too Smile it's lovely. I looked at buying the toddler quilt set for her but it was £65! And that was in the sale. Bit out of our price range!

I really need to start looking for a double buggy... was thinking of going for a 2nd hand phil and teds one from eBay, if I can find one close enough

ValiumQueen · 30/07/2012 16:40

I think they can make you start mat leave at 37 weeks if off sick. I am wondering how long I can string this broken ankle out for, although I must admit it hurts as much as it has still. I had an itchy toe last night so gave it a scratch, and had a furtive poke up the plaster. Yow! So tender. it took me about 10 minutes to manoeuvre into a position when I could reach my toe!

I got on the floor today and wish I hadn't. I needed to get in the bottom cupboard in the kitchen.

ValiumQueen · 30/07/2012 16:44

rowing we are pram buddies too! Mine is black and charcoal. 3 months old, for £160 which I thought was not bad. Have not got it yet. I already had the cocoon which I got for £10.

ShellyBobbs · 30/07/2012 16:50

Having a lovely restful day today after a hectic double shift weekend. Bliss!

Think little baba was going through a growth spurt last week, I could actually tell how much bigger this little one is. I was tired and just eating for fun, even managed to get a few bags of crisps down me which is the first junky thing I've eaten since I was about 12 weeks.

Wednesday I've designated as glossing downstairs day, I needed 2 days to psych myself up for it, I hate painting :(

DesperateHousewife21 · 30/07/2012 17:42

missmummy I saw that blanket on the website it looks lovely.
The buggy we're getting is from babies r us, sorry cant link on phone but it's got red hoods and is £170.
My dad doesn't think ds will sit in it for long but I think 2.4 is a bit young to be expected to walk everywhere he'll want to sit down rather than stand on a buggy board.

detective thanks :) can't wait to start browsing properly. I really want to go in and touch them all!
