No leaky boobs, just getting bigger and heavier by the day!

All this toilet training talk has made me want to share with you all the fact that DS (28 months) did his first wee on the potty today! He woke up this morning and took his nappy off straight away and told me he wanted to use the potty. Of course nothing happened but I thought I should really have a good attempt at this as we've tried a few times but not too seriously as I'm trying to hang out until the warmer weather thinking of the extra washing (ever the optimist!) We'd already had one accident halfway through breakfast but was pleasantly surprised when he bought the potty with his little offering to me tonight when I was washing the dishes. I'll try and persist as he seems keen but I must admit I've never really been that fussed as nappies are easy.

Wallace you mentioned having something special to wear three weeks after you give birth and this reminded me of how (pre DS) I'd go and visit friends or SILs in hospital just after that had a baby and wonder why they still looked pregnant. I've got some horrendous photos of myself, DH and DS taken in the hospital that really should be burnt but I can't bring myself to because they're wonderful memories. I had an em c-section and really swelled up afterwards. Thats my excuse anyway!! Grin

jom · 02/03/2006 21:55

Sorry, not swelled up - sounds scarey! I mean fluid retention.

Twirl · 02/03/2006 22:24

Lol at all the messages tonight! HC, I think you are right, I do feel pressured into toilet training DD before new one arrives. Maybe I'll just wait and see how she feels over the spring when the weather is better. Congrats to Joms DS wee!
PS I don't have leaky boobs either!

kbaby we had a great image of the soles of two perfect little feet also ... it was so beautiful

bumpybel no leaky boobs to report here but i've gone upto an E too ...

and am wearing very sensible and very comfortable maternity bras - the ones that give you a cleavage like your mother has (sorry mum), you know where they are pushed together with a crease down the middle you could park a bike in Wink

HumphreysCorner · 03/03/2006 08:57

Morning ladies

Lol deblaca-just looked down at my boobs and yes, DH could park his motorbike in there! Am now 36 E. Before DD was 34 B then after 36 C-what on earth will I be after DD2? Cripes! Still not leaking though. Didn't BF DD but have always managed to squeeze some milk out and the midwife said this can happen for years. ((xx))

jom-brilliant to hear about the wee-he is obviously ready so maybe keep it up. I know nappies are easier as you don't have to keep watch all day but think of the money you'll save. My poor hands are cracked to pieces through permanently washing them after DD's wees. Good luck anyway. ((xx))

kbaby-excellent news about your amnio results and your scan. Peace of mind at last! ((xx))

Hello to everyone else. ((xx))

Going to take DD swimming this morning-got to wear her out somehow. Grin

Have a good day.

AggiePanther · 03/03/2006 10:52

I was a 34dd before getting pg ..am now in a 38F !! and its getting a bit tight Shock

IamBlossom · 03/03/2006 11:05

Hi Girls, no leaky boob/s here sorry. They are an amazing size and shape though, so I am making the most of them, before they revert to the half filled bean bag shape they turned into after having DS.

Don't even want to THINK about potty trainng yet, luckily DS is 18 months so can chill for a bit.......

I am in maternity troos, and have bought size 16 t-shirts from Tesco of varying colours as my tummy gets cold in my normal tops. In maternity clothes for work, but can get away with my bigger jeans and trackers for casual in the main. Have developed the rather attractive "muffin overhang" on my knees, from where my legs start to pad out. Pregnancy makes a woman so desirable don't you think?

Dh get's his about once a month at the moment if that, as i just DON'T FEEL LIKE IT! Plus am shattered by bed time. Before bed time usually. Am having rather erotic dreams however, which is usually my body's way of telling me that I need to get my end away, so he might be in for a treat tomight. TMI??

Friday - YIPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeee

Annie29 · 03/03/2006 12:05

Hi Girls,

Can I please join the Due in July list!?!?
2nd baby due 13th July, it's a girl. I'm 30. What else do I need to add.

Oh Bumpybel I get a leaky boob now and again, usually after a shower. Though my little fried eggs don't have much to offer, they're growing the last couple of weeks (Yaaay!!). I think I may even be a B now, though I'm still wearing my A cups.
As for DH's pleasure, did anyone else go mad in the fourth month and is gone right off it again now? Knackered...

MummyZena · 03/03/2006 12:59

Hi All, I hope you don't mind me joining you but I am due July 22nd with my 2nd. I'm 34 and my DD is 22 months old today.

Any ideas on how I can help my DD when myself and DH are with other peoples children, she gets so upset and I want to help her now before it becomes an issue in July. She is in nursery and loves it, but only plays on her terms with others (Miss independant) but is kind and gentle but if I play with her and others she gets upset.

Thanks I hope someone can help, also any recommendations on books for little ones on becoming big sisters etc.. Smile

HumphreysCorner · 03/03/2006 13:07

Welcome Annie29 and congratulations Grin Smile Do you have a DS or DD at the moment and how old are they. We are v. nosey on here GrinHow can you still have a A cup after having a baby? I just have a pair of udders after giving birth-lol. ((xx))

I keep dreaming about sex but am far too tired to do anything about it-my poor DH is desperate. You are supposed to be at your most relaxed when PG cos you don't have to worry about contraception. Bah!!!!

Back from swimming and time for lunch methinks.

Just been sniggering at recent posts (esp Wallace's typo - I'm so mature!).

Re: boobs - no sorry, no leakage yet but am spilling out of bras and can't be arsed to get up into attic to hunt down wodging great maternity bras I had when pg with dd.

Re: toilet training - my sister's advice was that if I hadn't started yet with dd then to leave it because otherwise I'll end up with half trained child leaving poos everywhere and not able to clear them up because have a baby clamped to boob. This was her experience anyway.

Re: dh's needs - well, we abstained for first 12 weeks due to bleeding but even when I OFFERED a week or so ago, dh DECLINED!! on the grounds that he was still worried. So totally have no guilt about things in that department anymore. He's got hands hasn't he?!

Welcome to Annie29 and Mummyzena. Mummyzena - we are due on the same day and are the same age - spookey!

Oh and great news re: scans, amnios etc. Am getting quite nervous about my scan(on 14th).

MummyZena · 03/03/2006 13:23

Not yet, but have another scan next week so will find out then, unless legs are crossed!!

Annie29 · 03/03/2006 13:29

HC I have a DS, he's 10.5 months. Just started cruising, so DH and I are both extra exhausted. How we're going to cope with another one I just don't know.
Had an A cup (just about) before ever getting up the spout, then went up to a C cup last time (Oh I was so proud of them!!) Then when I stopped bf i went right back down to -AA (did you know that was possible?) I'm just doomed to have nothing so I'm enjoying being pregnant while there's something to hold onto!!
If you give me one of your udders, we might be equal then!!! Wink

Thanks for adding me in Wallace Smile

deblaca · 03/03/2006 14:34

welcome mummyzena and annie29 (you;ll have your hands full with DS and new born) and congrats to both of you

Thanks Kayzed and Deblaca - I know I'll have my hands full, they're overflowing now!
Haven't ever had any Braxton Hiccups (that I was aware of anyhow), but I do sometimes get a sharp kinda muscle pull (don't know how to describe it), when picking up DS or in an unusual position (WinkIYKWIM).
And I've heard that the big O's (Wink) can cause minor contraction ie Braxton Hiccups, anyone had this?

Wallace · 03/03/2006 15:47

Yes, I've been getting BH's for a while, and they are becoming stronger. I have been having that sort of dream too Grin

Wallace · 03/03/2006 15:48

and yes to Annie29's last question!

usandbump · 03/03/2006 16:18

Hello all Smile and a big welcome to MummyZena and Annie 29 Grin

Been laid low for a few days with gastric flu Sad and its been awful, feeling a bit more human now but wasn't arf feeling sorry for myself!
And all this talk about big boobs isn't doing much to cheer me up Envy mine haven't changed at all in fact they are smaller coz thats always the first place I lose weight if ill. No change in colour, size, shape and no leakage Grin
Lots of you have had your scans-congrats Smile
I feel like i'd like another one done I was so nervous at mine (got myself in a bit of a tizwoz that something was wrong Blush) I feel I didn't take it all in so I'd like to go back again to relax and enjoy it!
Baby has been moving around lots over the last few days, I love watching my tummy move. Have also been getting lots of tightenings that feel very strange not sure if these are BH with this being my first pg an all.
When are you planning on going back to work? (if you are) my sister in law is going to look after our baby when I do but not sure when would be best.

deblaca · 03/03/2006 16:40

i'm still not getting strong movements at all (altho know that he;s swimming around in there from both my mw appt. and scan) but would love to see them

i'm not planning on going back to work (hopefully) and from my experience with girlfriends who've had children its something that you won't know until the babies arrive ... they took as look as they could .... of course it depends on your personal circumstances

Welcome Annie29 and MummyZena :)
Hope you're feeling better soon us and bump.
Re sex ... I can't get enough of it ..far more up for it than when I'm not pg. I wonder if its because many of you have toddlers aswell so you're knackered, whereas I have a nearly 11 year old who brings me coffee :)
