Had my scan today - wonderful to see that everything was ok. Babe was wriggling about like anything, one amazing bit where the spine just suddenly came into sharp relief, all the vertebrae really clearly. Didn't ask the sex (not bothered about knowing) although DH did admit that he was trying to spot a willy! Nothing conclusive tho.

With regards to boobs, I am slightly embarrassed to say that mine pre-preg were 32H Shock. They have got a bit bigger, not enough to buy new bras. I'm being bad and still wearing my underwires (I have an extensive and expensive collection of lingerie) but must get round to buying some mumsy ones - there appears to be only one in my size, I think it's called Doreen! Dread to think how big they will get once the mil comes in

maewest · 03/03/2006 20:23

I off course meant milk - not mil, as my mother-in-law has nothing to do with my mamaries :)

bumpybel · 03/03/2006 23:02

Maewest... pmsl at your post! H!!!Holy shit! The Doreen bra thing is still making me chuckle! Glad scan was lovely.

Welcome annie29 and mummyzena Grin. We've got a lovely list going now. Havent heard from a few for a while though... hope everyones ok. Where are you both from?

Hey Kayzed and annie29 you can join my leaky boob club! Its very exclusive! Yay! Smile

Kayzed I laughed at you saying about toxic look on DH! My DH is just getting to the point where after about three weeks of no action, it is beginning to show!! I'm getting quite huffy at bed time though.. I just cant get comfortable and whereas I normally love cuddles, i'm tossing and turning like mad. Dont think am having any BH's, but quite often feel like a period type pain, so dont know if this might be something similar. Surely Orgasms just do the same as pelvic floor muscles, so it must do some good!!

Usandbump... hope youre feeling better. That sounded rotten.

HC, you'll be pleased to know, that the midwife at my weekly splash about aqua natal said that she did the thread test and that it worked on all three of her children.. Now if a midwife does it it must have some relevance!!!

AggiePanther · 04/03/2006 09:45

LOL @ Maewest Grin and congrats on your scan going well

Annie29 · 04/03/2006 10:42

Morning kids

Aggie, I think you're right about the toddlers 'getting in the way' of some night time action, and any early morning action too. Our DS always ends up in the bed between us at some point during the night, so if we want our wicked way it has to be early evening when he's in his cot!!

Thanks Bumpybel, I'd love to be in your leaky boob club. Ooh I feel so special!! Isn't that the best thing about pgy, (no, not the leaky boobs), everyone treats you special...
I live in London, but I'm not from there, I'm Irish, so DS is a half Irish, half Northern Cockney... Lucky kid!!

Congrats on scan, Maewest

AggiePanther · 04/03/2006 10:54

Annie I remember it only too well ...when DD was little (bigger than a toddler tho) sometimes me and my partner at the time would try and have a saturday morning quickie whilst she watched a video ...I remember uttering the immortal lines 'I'll listen, you just shag' Shock Blush how awful is that??!! Can't believe I've just told you that Blush

deblaca · 04/03/2006 11:08

congrats maewest on your scan - its amazing isn't it, still wonder at our's (2 weeks later) .........and a H eh? don't blame you for not getting any new bras, so difficult to get decent ones for the 'fuller figure' and I was only a DD pre pg.

anyway ladies its a beautiful day time get out into it - have a good w'end

Annie29 · 04/03/2006 11:11

Lol Aggie!!!Grin
it's terrible isn't it!! They'll never know though!!Way too young.. I remember walking in on my parents when I was about five, but I had no idea what they were doing. It was only about 20 years later when I thought back that I realisedBlush.

AggiePanther · 04/03/2006 11:22

Annie ..just to clarify she wasnt in the same room, but I thought she might walk in!! Mind you more recently she has walked in just after DP and I had been having 'a special cuddle' and she said ..are you ok? are you crying? why are you so out of breath? Blush She's a bit older now so not sure what she made of it!

Annie29 · 04/03/2006 12:01

Aggie, I'm sure she didn't realise. The penny might drop in a few years, though kids these days are getting more sussed arent't they. You never think your parents do it though, no matter what age you are. EEuew.

I'm so proud. DS just stood on his own for 17 seconds!!

AggiePanther · 04/03/2006 12:06

Awww how lovely Annie ...did he have that 'i'm so proud of myself' look before he fell/sat down?

Annie29 · 04/03/2006 12:13

Yes Aggie, like a 'Wow look what I can do' look!

Maewest - I've met "Doreen" Shock believe me you don't want to go there if you can help it! I was a 34F pre pg and am a now 36G. I am still wearing underwires as the non wired bras gave me lots of back and boob pain! I had a specialist fitting and was told that underwires were perfectly safe so long as they didn’t rub on the side of the breast. (has anyone else been told this?

I take it you have discovered Bravissimo They have a few styles that go up to a J cup but not sure about non wired…. They do some lovely clothes that accommodate big boobs but alas not bumps. :( I am having a hard time finding shaped maternity wear that is generous in the bust. Just got another package of unsuitables to send back to a catalogue company which were a size 18 maternity, huge width ways but allowed about an inch of fabric lengthways to cover you entire cleavage!!!

Also does anyone have any tips for finding maternity trousers in a 34 inch inside leg or longer?

Entropy – 31 years old with escaping boobs and cold ankles.

entropy - I have long been a customer of Bravissimo, don't bother going anywhere else now. Might try and fit in a trip to my parents so that I can pop into the Cambridge shop. They have some lovely fitted shirts, which sadly I'm popping the buttons on now. My bump seems to have arrived suddenly in the last week!

Not too much bed action chez maewest at the moment, often feel too tired, much to DH's dismay, who is appreciating the increased curvyness quite alot at the mo. Think he felt a bit nervous in the first couple of months, but now he often has that hungry dog expression Grin

maewest · 04/03/2006 15:23

also, on the subject of maternity wear, have found that some are just cut way too low at the front, giving a most impressive cleavage. Not the best look (woo freudian slip, almost typed brest there!) when trying to be taken seriously at work!

pinkdolly · 04/03/2006 16:14

Afternoon everyone,
Just come back from a long day at the Eden project. Last time I went was 4 years ago when I was pg with dd1 and wasn't suffering with any of the problems I have now. It was hard work, trekking the biomes but well worth it. the girls really enjoyed themselves, although dd1 was alittle confused as to why the chocolate trees didn't have bags of choccy hanging off them!

Re- Getting close to my hubby, it's been a while now. What with pain, stress from my parents divorce and 2 toddlers, I am knackered all the time. However, a few months ago dd1 crept into our room during an intimate moment. We didn't even hear her come in. It was awful. I'm sure she's too young too remember as she's only now 3 1/2 but I did feel really guilty for weeks.

Have a good weekend, and hello to the newbies!

HumphreysCorner · 04/03/2006 17:54

Hello ladies

maewest-good news about your scan-how can you bear to not know the sex????????????????? ((xx))

23 weeks today-hurrah! Grin

DH stares at my boobs all the time licking his lips-ooh bit bizarre methinks. He also keeps saying the aerial is up which makes me titter. Bless.

Anyway, have a good weekend and love to all.

((xx))

maewest · 04/03/2006 19:16

I'm just perverse that way I suppose HC (altho I do have to be forcibly restrained from squeezing my Christmas presents when they're under the tree!). Maybe because it's number 1 I feel like I don't need to know in advance

kbaby · 05/03/2006 19:38

I love my boobs when pregnant. Normally they are a deflated B cup since BF DD. I dont know what size they are now I keep meaning to go and get maternity bras but they are lush, all rounded and full. I could quite fancy myself!

This weekend Ive started to feel proper kicks, the ones that you can feel with your hand. So my nights are now spent laying on the settee with my hands on my belly waiting.

OP posts:
Wallace · 05/03/2006 20:02

That sounds like me when I go to bed kbaby - lying there with hand on bump waiting to feel a kick :)

My scan is tomorrow, and I am so nervous - I am having this 20 week scan to check for abnormalities because dd has a heart defect (20 week scan not routine where I live). So even though I am so excited, I am very apprehensive...

jom · 05/03/2006 20:08

It's certainly been a quiet day here with all us July Mums-to-be! Maybe everyones been out like me enjoying this glorious sunshine we've been having over the past couple of days. Maybe spring is coming after all!

K-baby -You made me laugh with your admiration for your boobs but I know what you mean- if only they were like this always. Sad And I love the kicking too, especially at this stage when it doesn't get too uncomfortable. Smile Its something I remember fondly of my previous pregnancy.

jom · 05/03/2006 20:09

Good luck tomorrow Wallace SmileSmileSmile
