Honeymum I've been having that too for over a week I think it's just everything stretching and growing...! I did some back stretches which helped ease it a bit! Just wait until we're bigger what's it going to be like!!!!

SpottyTeacakes · 17/06/2012 06:04

Dd is two today!

knottyhair · 17/06/2012 06:39

Happy Birthday to your DD Spotty! Hope she has a lovely day x

jdutch · 17/06/2012 06:57

Hi fellow December girls. Just saying hello. I'm due 22nd with my 3rd. Having a v bad week. NT measurement of 8.3mm and given a 1:4 chance of Downs. Still waiting on the results of my CVS which I had last Tuesday. So, hopefully I'll be back with good news next week. Lovely to read about your scans.

Honeymum, little twinges are normal, try to relax!

pinkglitter80 · 17/06/2012 07:43

Welcome jd - due date twin! Fingers crossed for your results.

Am getting lots of twinges again too - they had subsided and now seem to be back. DH informs me its due to 'things stretching'... it hurts though! Think i need to man up before the birth eek!

Chloe55 · 17/06/2012 08:11

Welcome jdutch try and remember that's still a 75percent chance baby is not Downs. Which is a big percentage.

Happy fathers day to any dad to be lurkers Grin

mwahmwah · 17/06/2012 09:27

Everything crossed for your little one jd. Can't begin to imagine how you must be feeling.

knottyhair · 17/06/2012 09:35

Fingers crossed for you jdutch, hope you get your results soon.

giraffe213 · 17/06/2012 09:59

(just marking my place in the new thread - will catch up later)

ivanapoo · 17/06/2012 10:08

Hi everyone, can't keep up with you lot!

I've also bought the Topshop flippy dress (in two colours, whoops, but thanks for the rec) alongside one of their mat bras and bump bands. The bra isn't very supportive but is so comfortable compared to the others I've been wearing/tried.

I've put on the half stone I lost at start of preg already. Must. Stop. Eating. For. Two.

It seems my boobs/bump are giving the game away! Boobs are noticeably much bigger and I used to wear quite fitted clothes around my middle which of course I'm now avoiding. I told a friend I was expecting and she said to be honest she knew just from looking at me...

This might seem like a ridiculous question to ask in June but what are you all planning to do for Christmas (if you're thinking that far ahead? We usually go to our parents' which are a number of hours' drive away. Would it be crazy to attempt this with a 10 day old PFB?

mwahmwah · 17/06/2012 10:17

Yep crazy! Bit hey, at least you don't have to worry bout cooking xmas dinner! X

ivanapoo · 17/06/2012 10:26

Ahahaha, the thought of me even getting dressed, let alone cooking Christmas dinner, on Christmas day is already entertaining me! First (and so far only) time I spent it with the in-laws I had a 24-hour v&d bug for the whole of Christmas day so spent it in bed...

Maybe Christmas is cancelled this year!

HoneyMum21 · 17/06/2012 10:51

I'm trying to persuade MIL who is 3 hour drive away to have us fr Christmas. My parents live 20 mins away but a) my brother alternates years and if we go to mine this year we'll miss his year next year b)DH's grandparents live near his mum and will want to see great-grandchild. c)DH dad is more likely to see us if we meet him in middle of the country d) I think Christmas will better fun to spend with my mum when bump is one year e)MIL is a nightmare and want to get her year over with when I have an excuse to be snappy with her

PurplePidjin · 17/06/2012 10:55

I will be sitting down and expecting go be fed - the advantage of producing PFB, PFGC and PFGGC all in one. Then we'll go to MIL who caters to a spectacular degree, and i can sit in her lounge on her comfy sofa watching the dn's play with their toys and getting dp to bring me cuppas :o

I am very lucky to have the family i do.

CODwidow · 17/06/2012 11:40

We always go to my mums for dinner at Xmas so probably just do that. In all honesty newborns are very portable things so quite easy in the early days

kate2boysandabump · 17/06/2012 11:43

Happy Birthday Stacks

Happy Birthday Spotty's DD

COD Hope you're feeling less stressed today.

Christmas EEEEEEEEKKKKKKK!!!!!! DH is planning on buying a frozen turkey sometime in November so we can have a dinner no matter what. If I've had the baby we probably won't be going out, we've never gone any where else for Christmas, but nor will we be having guests for lunch this year. We might go to my Mom and Dad's, but we won't be making any long journeys.

We're also getting a new car, I really want an s-max, so we're saving hard.

Off on holidays tomorrow, see you in 2 weeks!

SpottyTeacakes · 17/06/2012 12:57

I'm not sure about Christmas, at least I know I will definitely have had the baby by then will be harder for those who can easily go to 42 weeks!

Might get the parents round here to do the cooking Grin

ivanapoo · 17/06/2012 13:09

Gah - Spotty hadn't thought of that, my EDD is 13th so in theory could go as far as 27th! Having had original EDD given as 1st Dec I will be REALLY peed off by then if it's a no-show ;)

Bubbless · 17/06/2012 13:15

christmas this year will involve me sitting.. and eating.. and opening presents?
normally we go to my mums, then my dads, then DP's mums, then DP's dads............ he can do as he pleases but im sitting at home on the sofa watching christmas films!

i think im going along the same lines as whoever said they are just going to announce on fb then tell some gossip-y people after the scan!
telling people is a weird thing because you cant really work it into a convo!
just going to assume everyone knows and post a scan pic and let them work it out!!

added myself to the stats list, although i hope they dont move my date as im happily between christmas and new years on the 29th! but its a very real possibility as i didnt have a 'last period date' :(

CODwidow · 17/06/2012 13:16

My first 3 ds' were born at 37 weeks and then ds4 at 40 +2 so really hoping I won't go anything past that but knowing my luck I'll still be here on Christmas day!

PurplePidjin · 17/06/2012 13:40

Bubless, i found "Hi, how are you?" "Glad to be over the morning sickness but mostly fine, how are you?" worked a treat Wink

StrawberrytallCAKE · 17/06/2012 17:09

Ahhhh Christmas...when I won't have horrific sinus pain and we will all hopefully have lovely snuggly little babies.

My brilliant mum and sister have suggested coming round to our house where they will cook for us which I am happy with as I know I'll be able to get nap times in for me and the baby. I also plan to keep christmas pyjamas on all day.

So back to the sinus pain...a symptom I didn't have last time which is hurting me a lot right now. Spent yesterday in bed the whole day and slept for most of it and still all of last night. Anyone else getting this?

Cookiesandcream06 · 17/06/2012 17:41

strawberry I've had terrible sinus pains- contributing to headaches, I've put a lot of mine down to Hayfever- I've suffered terribly this year, even during the cold/wet spells - gutting when I've not really suffered in the past 4 years (since being PG with DD/since then)

I was posting to say I got my NT results back - I'm really sorry to whoever posted their results, even more sorry I've forgotten your name as am on phone at mo, I don't want you to feel bad, as others have said 75% chance everything is ok is a really good odds on things. Mine was 1:28412 but I will deft be thinking of you as my heart really goes out to you as I know I would be worrying if it were me- but again keep focusing on that 75%

Everytime me and DP discuss Christmas it ends in an argument; it's not being discussed again for a while. I don't want to go anywhere, I want newborn baby snuggles in my Christmas jammies! (I forgot how stressful it was with a new baby that everyone wants to bloody see when all you want to do is chill out as a family!!)

Have a lovely holiday kate Smile but Envy also!!!

MyDaydream · 17/06/2012 18:07

I'll still have a huge bump at Christmas so I'm leaving plans until much closer the time. I'm thinking we spend it with our parents separately or stay home and make something yummy together. Depends if I fancy the bus journey/party on christmas eve.
One more sleep until my scan. Bought a lovely frame to put the photo in yesterday (impulse buy!) Don't know how I'll get through tomorrow morning at work.

PurplePidjin · 17/06/2012 18:36

Re sinus pain, i have had every bug going during this pg. I have absolutely fuck all immunity left - flu twice and now phlebitis in my leg. Chances are yours is similar, will pass soon, and if you find a solution please please please let me know!!

I can't wait for 19, 6 and 4 (19, 7 and 5 by then!) yo dn's to meet their new cousin, and realistically Christmas will be the first time i feel up to travelling (2w over makes me 13/12) plus my inlaws are the kind to prop me on the sofa with tea so it's really not a huge deal to visit them, very much worth the 2 hour drive :)
