I've changed my name and now I feel all official Smile

I've added myself to the stats thread too

acjfluff · 15/06/2012 22:10

Marking my place. Will try to put myself on the new list on stats thread if I can figure out how to do it on my phone!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 16/06/2012 02:56

Hi everyone I now have a new phone with the mumsnet app do can catch up over the weekends yay! I will wait till my scan on weds to add to the list.

Am slightly embarrassed to say I have almost everything already even though we had virtually nothing from my older dc's but tbh we have been given a lot of stuff so I can't complain. I'm starting to think about the logistics of the bedroom juggling and the decorating of the nursery and DS's new room this will be done as soon after the scan as I possibly can for 2 reasons 1 I'm not a house yet and 2 I need somewhere to put all this baby stuff lol

Morning Smile got our take away last night but I felt so ill I had to go to. Slept from eight until now Blush

Whoever asked about bottled you have to replace the teats but that bottles themselves are fine afaik.

Miserable day here but I'm going to lunch with a friend and looking forward to dd's birthday tomorrow.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend

SeymoreButts · 16/06/2012 08:20

COD I'm sure it will be fine, I've eaten lots of fresh fennel in salads, I had no idea it was a problem!

I feel totally clueless with regard to bottles etc. Youngest DC is 4 and we have no baby stuff left at all. DD refused bottles altogether and only breast fed, DS hated breast feeding and rejected me for the bottle at 4 months! I guess I should buy a few bottles plus a steriliser and see how I go. I had a lovely medela swing breast pump that I sold, not sure if I should invest in another one.

Also it should be pretty hot here by December, I've been told the baby will live in nappies and vests! I'm fighting the urge to stock up on sleepsuits, rompers and hats!

Cookiesandcream06 · 16/06/2012 09:10

hello ladies... marking my place.. DD is being a nightmare and was y'day too.. zzz really tired today.. Will catch up properly later..

Mummycox · 16/06/2012 09:19

COD please worry not, one of the nicest things I've eaten in recent weeks is apple, orange and fennel salad. Blush and peppermint tea is the only thing shifting the bloated feeling too.

CODwidow · 16/06/2012 09:30

This was fennel seeds which are a toxin apparently but trying not too worry and thank you all for replying Smile
Dh has said I can buy my pram at the end of this month so excited for that! We've also decided we're going to have to change to a slighty bigger 7 seater so changing the car too. So feels like theres a lot going on at the mo but hoping that means I can spend the last few months sat watching tele eating chocolate Grin

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 16/06/2012 09:37

Cod we are getting a new car today as I cannot fit 3 car seats in mine and although DD is 7 she's pretty dinky and still.in a high backed booster! But in terribly odd and can't fight my aversion to people carriers so we have ended up with a Volvo xc90 which is a 7 seat 4x4 and is huge but lovely even though it feels like I'm driving a monster truck (I've spent most my years driving a punto or yaris lol)

SeymoreButts · 16/06/2012 10:25

We've been looking at the toyota kluger but it looks like a monster, I'm worried about parking. I guess it's just practice though!

Stacks · 16/06/2012 10:35

Morning everyone. We'll it's my birthday today. June sends to be a popular baby month, we have 5 family birthdays this month and 6 friends... Now there's lots of us on here with birthdays too!

I've not got many plans for today, though this will be my last birthday ever without a DC. So I'm making an effort and going out tonight for dinner with a big group of friends. DH had no idea what to get me as a present, so we're also going out shopping :) I think I might get a new watch.

SpottyTeacakes · 16/06/2012 10:38

Happy birthday stacks! We have loads of friends/family with birthdays in June too. Hope you have a lovely day Smile

CODwidow · 16/06/2012 10:53

We have a Peugeot estate at the mo which is 7 seats but with 2 ds now 9 and 8 and with a very small boot it's not really practical tbh. But don't want to be driving a monster when 4 of them will be at school in sept so having a look about today.

MyDaydream · 16/06/2012 11:20

I've got my eye on most of the things we want, but we might be moving in the next few months so will wait and see before buying anything. Our parents have said they'd buy most of the big things so we won't have much to get. I'm also going to have a big clear out and eBay everything to raise some more cash. We're going to buy something after the scan on Monday, I want to buy the first thing for my baby and mil will go mad once she gets the ok.
Im learning to drive at the minute so hopefully will pass in the next few months.

Bellaboo123 · 16/06/2012 14:06

Happy birthday stack have a great day!

I've just scared myself (nothing new there!) just had a pedicure and the massaged my feet and ankles, I realised that they shouldn't as this can bring on contractions...should I worry?

mwahmwah · 16/06/2012 16:22

Boys names are difficult aren't they? I'm struggling!

mwahmwah · 16/06/2012 16:25

And Bellaboo, nope I wouldn't worry, don't think it'll so any harm this early on

knottyhair · 16/06/2012 16:30

Happy Birthday Stacks! Have a lovely day. We've also got LOADS of family & friends' birthdays in June - what is it about June?
Well, I tentatively think my nausea may be getting better. Have been to town with DS today and bought another maternity bra. Really enjoyed my lunch in Pret and didn't feel sick afterwards! Still knackered though.

itsMYNutella · 16/06/2012 20:05

Hello from the edge of the Pyrenees!

Visiting Mum in France (yes we appear to be a family of nomads). Having a lovely time watching DP drinking lovely wine with yummy cheese and saucisson etc.... Envy Ho hum the joys of pregnancy!

All well had a scan at 11+5, bean was very lazy and needed a good amount of poking from the Dr and coughing. I have some very fuzzy pictures because I had just donated my pot of wee to the nurse and the plan was for another dildocam scan.

Anyone else having blood taken every visit? The system in Germany is pretty good and see my lady (Obgyn) Dr every time and she does everything but I wonder if sometimes its a bit extreme?

Sorry for long post! Have updated stats and will put pick up! Best wishes to everyone hope you're all having a lovely weekend!
X

ellliebelle · 16/06/2012 20:06

hope you've had a lovely birthday stacks.

well tiday i have mainly been feeling sorry for myself for no apparent reason :)

then had a bit of a clear out in the garage found a couple of maternity tops and a nice dress that were in a box of stuff to be ebayed so that was handy and found some bottles so just need new teets for those as planning on breast feeding but always hand to have a few i guess

FriendofDorothy · 16/06/2012 20:50

Does anyone know how late you can fly when you are pregnant?

Cookiesandcream06 · 16/06/2012 21:01

Happy Birthday stacks
friend it depends on the airline, but past 28 weeks I think is when they request a 'fit to fly' letter from your doc.. Prob best to ask in the travel agent as some airlines allow you to later than others if I remember correctly.

Am doing a car boot tomorrow to raise money for baby shopping as I have been very good and not bought a single thing ... Yet... Hmm

HoneyMum21 · 16/06/2012 21:04

friendofdorothy - between 30-32 weeks depending on the airline. Best to check with airline your planning to use before booking anything. Some will allow later as long as you sign lots of forms and have permission from dr (my friend did that but was a lot of hassle- has to be extreme circumstances)

FriendofDorothy · 16/06/2012 21:06

That's cool thanks. I am just wondering whether The Mister and I might be able to get to London for a gig in September. I would be about 27 weeks pregnant then.

HoneyMum21 · 16/06/2012 21:06

I'm getting lots of little twingey type pains in my abdo and lower back. Nothing major but I'm worrying about EVERYTHING. Little twinges are normal, right?
