Oh no really panicking now, I've been really suffering with indigestion so today decided to have 2 cups of peppermint tea not realising it also contained fennel. I've just checked on line and it warns that fennel can cause miscarriage. Don't know what to do so so worried I've done something to hurt the baby

I went through that panic - i think its taking it in medicinal doses as a herbalist would prescribe - it would surely be on the nhs list if twas the case. I had to argue a lot with DH over herbal teas, he completely banned me but I asked a friend whose DH is a doc and they said fine - maybe check with mw but I'm sure they'd have to put it on the label. They warn pregnant ladies not to take blooming syrup of figs! (but maybe get other qualified advice incase!)

i'm no expert COD but i'm sure it'll be fine - things like that need to be consumed regularly in large amounts to cause any problems. After having lots of minor panics about eating/drinking things i didn't realise i shouldn't everyone has told me not to worry and things tend to need to be consumed in excess to cause a problem. Try not to worry xx

Happy Birthday Spotty, and happy anniversary lauraloo. It's mine tomorrow (but it was only when DH and I got home to discover anniversary card from MIL that we both remembered) - so we're not half as organised as to go out for meal, if I'm lucky we might get take out #living the dream#

We didn;t opt for any tests so decided to take the green light from when we had the scan. I really took the crappy option and just posted on fb, it saved me having to repeat myslef loads. But most of my colleagues didn't know (boss did as I'm a chemistry teacher and had to aviod some of the chemicals in school), but I just decided to gwt it over with today and asked some of the people I knew to gossip a bit!

On the bottle front, does anybody know, I kept the bottles from DD1, are they still ok to use, or do I need to replace them, or their teats etc?

It's so nice isn't mwahmwah, it's just makes it all a lot more real, and then telling people. Pretending not to be is such hard work, I swear at points it makes you feel worse!

I don;t know much about protein in urine - but I think at this stage is not too much of a worry, it's when you get to the end of second/third trimester it can be a sign of preclampsia.
