Hiya,
Thought I would start a thread as I couldn't seem to find one
I had a BFP yesterday - which by my estimations makes lo#2 due early November! I already have a ds who is 15 months (14/11/04) and my BFP with him was 2 days earlier than this one, how strange is that?
Anyway, looking forward to getting to know anyone that joins this thread and wishing everybody a happy healthy pg

Oh Spinach I know - poor you Sad is there anything that helps?

I'm sure in a couple of weeks I will be moaning about it and you will be blooming.

spinach · 27/03/2006 21:11

we need a rule... NO MORE TALKING ABOUT FOOD!!!!
i come on here as a distraction from the fact that i can't face food, think about food, be near food let alone eat food!

spinach · 27/03/2006 21:12

oh, and I dont bloom or glow!

MeggLeVache · 27/03/2006 21:15

Ewww glowin gis the polite way of saying sweating isn't it.
Pleased to hear it Spinach, I on the other hand have broken my body thermostat I am freezing one minutes and glowing for England the next!

spinach · 27/03/2006 21:15

sorry... not being too grumpy...just really cant talk about food!

MeggLeVache · 27/03/2006 21:21

Bloody hell if you can't be grumpy and hormonal on an ante natal thread where on earth can you be?

spinach · 27/03/2006 21:26

no, I'm fine. sitting here sucking my anti sickness pill!

Hattie05 · 27/03/2006 21:33

Evening everyone, congrats to all the newbies Smile

I am so glad to see a few of you saying you have a bump.

I have been trying to tell myself i'm bloated, but the bloatedness just aint going away! I honestly look pregnant and i don't think i can hide it from work (wasn't planning on telling them until i'm 12 wks). What should i do? pretend i'm just putting on weight? (and feel embarrassed that everyones whispering behind my back) or spill the beans?

spinach · 27/03/2006 21:37

tell them you've got trapped wind, they wont ask a thing more about it!
I cant believe you're all getting bumps so early... althouh my tummy is toughening up..I'm losing weight through lack of eating!

Hattie05 · 27/03/2006 21:40

I know spinach - but i'm gonna spend weeks thinking they're all nudging each other going "she's put on a bit 'a' weight hasn't she?"

spinach · 27/03/2006 21:41

i bet they dont notice, you're probably the only one who has noticed... baggy jumpers? loose tops?

toadstool · 27/03/2006 22:25

Re. baggy tops, H and M have a nice range of long pg shirts for Summer that seem OK for work (once the weather gets warmer!!!). I don't want to tell anyone at work until week 16 or so but there's just been a decision made to kick me out of my office and in my gaff we're expected to do the move ourselves (and this involves serious book and file carrying), so I've had to let the cat out of the bag a bit - this being said all I did was send out an email to 2 male dinosaurs saying an 'ongoing medical condition' prevents me carrying anything bulky, so I'm hoping their horror of funny women's problems will blind them to the obvious.

Hattie05 · 27/03/2006 22:30

Lol toadstall they will be concocting all sorts of stories about you!

I guess you're both right - i shall just go shopping for some baggy clothes Smile

NatalieJane · 28/03/2006 09:02

Morning all :)

Hope everyone is feeling good?

2cats, that is great news, you must be so relieved :)

mygirllolipop · 28/03/2006 09:02

Spinach loving the 'trapped wind excuse' I don't seem to be getting a bump yet, with the girls I always lost 1/2 st that's not happening this time!
dpind - if you click att he begining of the list in someone's post then drag the mouse to the end of the list. Then go to edit and copy then in the box where you type your message go to edit and paste that will make the list appear in the box and you can insert your name in from there.

NatalieJane · 28/03/2006 09:05

Maybe you are having a boy this time mygirl?? :o

fatbetty · 28/03/2006 10:33

MeggLeVache, I had horrible ms with ds2 and now I don't really have much ms (knock on wood). But do find that if I don't eat often or sit around too much then I tend to feel a bit of nausea. Maybe that means it a girl!!!

I also never had a bump at this stage with ds1 and ds2. I've squeezed myself into another pair of trousers today but feel v uncomfortable. And I've grown out of my bras but not big enough for the bigger size! Desparate to go shopping but ds2 has conjunctivitis today so i'm house bound! Has anybody bought mc online?

NatalieJane · 28/03/2006 10:36

I have just bought some from Mothercare and DP, I can not live in one pair of trousers until the weekend when I can go shopping! Will be interesting to see how well they fit, I will still eel ridiculous walking around in MC at less than 6 weeks PG!!

fatbetty · 28/03/2006 10:42

i find that most maternity trousers have that belly panel in the front which is so unattractive and you have to hide with a huge shirt. I did see some trousers in a catalog that looked normal and then you could expand the waist line as your belly grew. trying to remember where I saw those......

staceym11 · 28/03/2006 10:45

morning everyone, i am in maternity clothes already and i look about 6 months pg not 7 weeks. as belly suddenly grew over w.end when me and dd were away dp has told me to go to docs and ask for a dating scan, just to check dates and see if its twins as we have them in the family!!!

my sickness doesnt seem to have developed into asnything serious (touch wood) i can still eat and have a real thing about eggs atm!!!

i had really bad sickness with dd, so much so i had to give up work at 3 months, but not too bad this time, hopefully itl stay like that or looking after dd will go down the pan!!!

staceym11 · 28/03/2006 10:48

i got my maternity stuff from ebay, as we have a tight budget, got a whole wardrobe for £41.50 which i didnt think was bad. some of it not my taste but i couldnt expect much more. also my mate just had her baby so shes shoving stuff my way too!

NatalieJane · 28/03/2006 10:52

Wow bargains Stacey!! :)

Mothercare do the trousers with the button fastening :) I do prefer the look of the trousers that go under the bump, but I think they would get really uncomfortable in late pregnancy if they started to dig in a bit. And you still need longer line tops to cover the bump anyway, unless you are brave enough to show off your bare belly!

staceym11 · 28/03/2006 11:11

yeah it was a bargin really! i quite lik the look of the lycra panel over bump, iv got some underbumps my friend gave to me but they are so uncomfortable i cant wear them.

MeAndMyBoy · 28/03/2006 11:26

Morning all.

Hi Cece hope you're doing ok. Welcome Dpind and congratulations. looking forward to getting to know you better over the next few months.

I'm the same as everyone else with food and feeling sick - not actually been sick yet, but fighting very hard not to be, cause I just feel that once I have been that will be it and I'll be sick for weeks. Food is really difficult just really don't want to eat but if I don't I feel awful. Having DH home this week has been a god send, when he's away again next week I really am going to struggle.

I'm finding that I am too fat for my jeans by the evening and have to leave the zip and buttons undo. I'm going to get one of the expanders you can buy so I don't have to do maternity stuff yet. I do like H&M trousers - most of them don't have the stretchy panel at the front and just expand with elastic and buttons round the back and sides. Most maternity stuff is so frumpy and horrid though I'm really struggling to find some nice resonably priced stuff - might have to take a leaf out of stacey's book and go ebay shopping.
