Hiya,
Thought I would start a thread as I couldn't seem to find one
I had a BFP yesterday - which by my estimations makes lo#2 due early November! I already have a ds who is 15 months (14/11/04) and my BFP with him was 2 days earlier than this one, how strange is that?
Anyway, looking forward to getting to know anyone that joins this thread and wishing everybody a happy healthy pg

NJ - I sometimes get odd twinges in my belly. When I was 4 wks pg I had tender tummy muscles most of the time. Now I'm 8 wks it's more infrequent. I've found it's almost always when I'm sat with my legs crossed, which midwife told me I should not do as I'm slowing down blood flow by doing it.

Has it become a bit more real for you yet?

NatalieJane · 27/03/2006 15:32

Thought it must be OK, couldn't remember if it was the same last time!

Yes I am starting to believe it now, my belly is HUGE! It is about the same size now as it was when I was about 13/14 weeks with DS Shock

I am hugely embarressed to admit that I am buying maternity clothes at 5 weeks! I have laughed at people doing similar before! Blush

How is everything with you?

toadstool · 27/03/2006 15:35

Yep, I'm getting what I can only describe as prodding, usually in the lower abd. Very odd. Also (at 6.5 weeks!!!!) I've bloated out of most trousers and skirts, so had to dig out pg clothes I bought first-time round after 6 months Blush... My handy pg book suggests this is all about 1st trimester indigestion. Nice.

NatalieJane · 27/03/2006 15:36

I thought the bog bloat must be water, everything 'down there' is working as well as usual! :o

NatalieJane · 27/03/2006 15:37

The bIg bloat even!

fatbetty · 27/03/2006 16:25

I'm living in the only pair of trousers that will fit . Desparate to go shopping but don't want to buy maternity clothes yet because I don't think they will fit properly. And don't want to buy the "next size up" because I refuse to go there. Sad, I know!! All my old maternity clothes are for when I have a proper 7-month bump! Although I bet I would surprise myself by how well they fit. Think I will bite the bullet and go the next size up....then I can at least have something to wear after the baby is born.

Morning sickness hit me over the weekend. And here I thought I might actually get away with not having it. I'm soooooo tired and have no energy. I'm suppose to go to a Aqua Aerobics class tonight with a friend but I know that will knock me out for the rest of the week.

HopingCat · 27/03/2006 16:27

I don't seem to have any real bump, but it's my first so it may take longer to show. I've put weight on but that's because I'm eating loads more.

NJ - I'm ok today. Felt sick earlier, but that is first time in a week and I'm quite glad to have my symptoms back! Was starting to get worried as I had a week of ms and then it went again.

NatalieJane · 27/03/2006 17:04

I still don't have any 'proper' symptoms, I have very sore boobs, feel exhausted all the time, am starving hungry one minute and then can't even think of food the next although I don't feel sick, bit of heart burn (but that is normal for me anyway!) and have noticed I have been up to the loo more times than usual and of course my belly.... LOL I suppose they are symptoms!!

We have arranged to go down to my mums (we live in Accrington (Nr. Blackburn) and she lives down in Bedford) the weekend after next so we can tell her the news, can't wait!! I have got DS a t-shirt with 'I'm the big brother' written on it, and we weren't going to say anything until someone noticed his t-shirt, but I think my belly will give it away before that happens!

fatbetty · 27/03/2006 17:13

That's a cute way of letting people know!!

I've been trying to find my travel sickness bands but can't remember where I put them! I'm very much like you NJ where I'm starving one minute and then can't even think of food when it's in front of me. Have to eat when I'm not really hungry and that seems to help.

NatalieJane · 27/03/2006 17:17

That is what I have been doing. At least it is better than last time, I didn't get any sickness either then, but the only thing I could stomach for the first three months were fish fingers, I would have one fish finger for breakfast, one fishfinger for lunch, and two fish fingers for dinner!! Everything seems to taste wierd at the moment, so I think that is that is putting me off a bit.

fatbetty · 27/03/2006 17:30

When pg with ds1 I wasn't too bad, with ds2 I vowed I would never get pg again because the ms was horrendous!! I was never sick, but on the verge the entire time. This time I haven't felt too bad - but like you I've had sore boobs, a bit of heartburn (lived on Gaviscon during the 3rd trimester with ds2!) and very very tired! Poor DH doesn't know what to do! I'm either too tired to talk or complaining about something else.

fatbetty · 27/03/2006 17:33

Ahhh, it's 5:30 and the sun is still out!!! I love day light savings!!!!

NatalieJane · 27/03/2006 17:38

LOL They do put up with a lot don't they?! Not as much as us though!! Wink

Have got to nip into Tesco tonight, so I am going to be nearly sleep walking around there whilst missing everything we are meant to be picking up! How long do you think it is before I can start sending DH on his own??! :o

NatalieJane · 27/03/2006 17:39

It is light here, but it is blowing a gale and raining and grey and dull - yuk!!

DH is just pulling in the drive so I will be off :)

Have a nice evening, TC xxx

fatbetty · 27/03/2006 17:44

Tell DH to either go on his own to Tesco's or that you'll start doing the shopping via internet! Have a good night

twocatsonthebed · 27/03/2006 18:10

Yay! Had my early scan today, and all's well - a real baby in there with a real heartbeat! And the dates are all just as they should be. so that's good.

Cece - good to hear from you, and I think it does help to talk to people. When it happened to me, I felt a lot better for telling my friends - and I found out just how many other people it had happened to as well, which was some small reassurance. I also knew mine was going to happen for a few days, and found that i was most upset once it had actually happened - but I think some of that is the hormones. Lots of love to you.

how old is he mower?

MeggLeVache · 27/03/2006 21:05

2 cats that is fab news! Welcome Dpind!

I had to post on the general preg topic as none of my bottoms fit me anymore I am so shocked, didn't happen last time but literally no jeans fit Shock I'm only 6+3 FGS. I don't think I'm quite ready for a big smock yet.

Anybody else suffered from really bad morning sickness before and then not with subsequent pregnancies? I don't seem to be suffering at the moment.

spinach · 27/03/2006 21:08

MLV... you can have some of my sickness, I have enough for about 4 people!

dpind · 27/03/2006 21:10

I had no sickness at all with my first pregnancy but have felt really sickly for the past 2 weeks with this one and I'm only 8 weeks. just sat here shoving cheese, crackers and tomatoes into my face before the next bout of feeling sick comes over me!!!
