Hiya,
Thought I would start a thread as I couldn't seem to find one
I had a BFP yesterday - which by my estimations makes lo#2 due early November! I already have a ds who is 15 months (14/11/04) and my BFP with him was 2 days earlier than this one, how strange is that?
Anyway, looking forward to getting to know anyone that joins this thread and wishing everybody a happy healthy pg

Hi Megg, (or anyone else!)

I am back if anyone fancies a chat? :)

fatbetty · 24/03/2006 15:26

staceym11, we'll be neighbours!!!! I live in Reigate!

Can you guys refresh my memory of things you can and can't eat....I just had a sandwich at lunch that had loads of goat's cheese in it. I wasn't even thinking that was bad and now my stomach is doing flips.

NatalieJane · 24/03/2006 15:29

I think it is blue and/or soft cheeses you have to be wary of, only from memory though (which isn't up to much these days!!)

fatbetty · 24/03/2006 15:32

I just read somewhere to avoid Chevre (a type of goat's cheese). Still don't know if I had that exactly. I'll avoid it in the future just to be safe.

MeggLeVache · 24/03/2006 16:08

Hi just zipping here quickly.

You have to be wary of all cheeses which are unpasteurised. From what I recall most of the goats cheeses I found were unpasteurised so I did avoid them but boy did I miss Stilton- I was pregnant last time at Xmas and I used to have dreams about being smothered by a giant Stilton and oatcakes, I kid you not!

NatalieJane · 24/03/2006 16:12

LMAO Megg :o :o :o Classic!!

fatbetty · 24/03/2006 16:15

Ha ha!! But what happens if you do eat something "bad" like goat's cheese. I can't believe I forgot all this from ds1 and ds2!

fatbetty · 24/03/2006 16:19

Ah, I found the answer. It can cause listeria in mum and baby - making you very sick and cause problems with baby. Oops. Guess I will watch what I'm eating a bit more. Thought I was being fairly healthy. Just wish my tummy felt better.

NatalieJane · 24/03/2006 16:20

It isn't the end of the world, it won't make you have dreams about cheeses coming to get you at least!!! Wink

It is only advisable not to eat these things.

NatalieJane · 24/03/2006 16:22

I am sure the more you read into it, the more odder the feeling in your belly will get...

I am not for one minute saying go and eat as much cheese as you can, but I'm sure a little bit won't do any harm.

fatbetty · 24/03/2006 16:28

I'm sure it won't hurt either....They now say not to eat too much tuna and I ate loads with ds2.

fatbetty · 24/03/2006 16:29

And ds2 was fine!!

NatalieJane · 24/03/2006 16:35

Well I suppose when you think back to our mother's generation I am sure things have changed loads since then and yet we are all here safe and well!

Have you told all of you family/friends about your PG yet?

fatbetty · 24/03/2006 16:38

We haven't told our family/friends yet - I'm going to see my family over Easter so will tell them then. Hopefully I won't be showing too much by then for them to guess. I think we'll wait to tell others after I've had the first scan.

spinach · 24/03/2006 17:28

Good luck to the rest of you for a healthy 7/8 months.

Cece. How are you feeling? I've been following your posts hopefully and really I am so sad for you.

Big hugs to you and your family.
xx

cece · 25/03/2006 08:33

Thanks everyone. I've had a good cry last night and feel a bit better this morning. If I don't miscarry naturally I will be in hospital next Friday for a D&C.

Hoping you all happy and healthy pregnancies. Will try to keep an eye out for you all in Nov!
