Hiya,
Thought I would start a thread as I couldn't seem to find one
I had a BFP yesterday - which by my estimations makes lo#2 due early November! I already have a ds who is 15 months (14/11/04) and my BFP with him was 2 days earlier than this one, how strange is that?
Anyway, looking forward to getting to know anyone that joins this thread and wishing everybody a happy healthy pg

MeandMyboy - I'm in Hong Kong - Not sure about contents cover I will check this - thanks. Sadly it really isn't wear and tear as my in-laws didn't put something back in the freezer properly which meant that the door was never shut.

Got to wait for the electrician to come tomorrow, in the mean time it is pretty difficult keeping milk etc as it is 25C today and very humid, so not quite sure what supper is going to be tonight..

NatalieJane · 24/03/2006 09:37

Hello everyone :o

Can I join in please? I got my BFP last night, still can't quite believe it!

I haven't read down the thread or anything so you will have to bear with me whilst I get to know you all :)

staceym11 · 24/03/2006 09:46

welcome nat!!! congratulations!!! when are you due??

i really cant be bothered (i know it seems kinda naive and silly) to book in here then move it all, got so much going on anyway. as long as im getting bigger (without eating loads) and feeling sick and not bleeding i dont really see much point in seeing a doc/midwife, they never did anything in first 10 weeks with dd anyway, and im not too worried if first scan is a little late really. it may seem silly but as long as everything seems to be fine i dont see much point.

the dates shouldnt change too much anyway as its a new build, so the housing association want us in asap so are hassling our solicitors as they arent getting any rent till we move in!!

hope everyone feeling ok. my delivery came yest and my mate hwo just had her baby handed over a load of maternity clothes so im sorted for a while as i cant fit into my old clothes at all, well not my trousers at least!!!!

fatbetty · 24/03/2006 09:47

awayfromhome, would gladly swap the weather with you. It's rainning and miserable here.

NatalieJane, welcome and congratulations!!

I'm so glad that some of you are feeling the same way I am about telling people and the potential criticism you'll get. I always just thought it was me! Also, i talked to my friend and aired everything out and things seem to be fine now. Trying to put it all behind me now.

NatalieJane · 24/03/2006 09:49

Thanks for the welcomes, I am a bit nervous, still a bit of a newbie to MN, and had always just been on the TTC boards, now I feel like I am venturing into new places!!!

I am due 25th Nov. seems like years away!!

staceym11 · 24/03/2006 09:56

is this your first nat???

dont be too scared we will all give lots of advice and support. i think there are a few first timers, im on my second with a couple of other and a few are haivng their forth i think, so we have a range of experience!!!

NatalieJane · 24/03/2006 10:00

Hi Minie, I only found out yesterday, still in shock I think!

NatalieJane · 24/03/2006 10:19

Wow must have read you message wrong Minnie, I thought you said you had a DD of 11 years not weeks!!! Very brave lady!!!! :o It will be lovely to have them so close though!

fatbetty · 24/03/2006 10:22

mygirllollipop, I've had a bit of insomnia but think it has something to do with my diet and eating too much sugar. I've cut it down a bit and haven't had trouble since.

Minnie1, I had a friend who found out she was pg with no2 when no1 was 12 weeks old. Have to say that she made it look so easy having the two (I was pg with ds2 at the time and was in awe of her!). You'll be fine!!! My ds1 was 18 months when ds2 was born and was just getting used to walking about. Found it hard carrying him everywhere when I was pg and so glad when he did walk on his own!

staceym11, have a great weekend up north! Where are you in Surrey? I'm also down that way.

I've got to be off too otherwise I'll be sitting here all day on the computer!! I find it soooo addicting once I get on. Have to start going to MN Anonymous!!!

twocatsonthebed · 24/03/2006 11:55

Hello everyone,

Have been away a bit so lost touch a bit - hope everyone's OK.

Mygirl - insomnia, oh yes I do. I'm exhausted by ten pm, but then wake up in the middle of the night for hours - I'm feeling like a wet dishrag today! And my body thermostat is up the crock so I'm either under a heap of blankets or too hot...

I've got a scan on Monday, because of the missed miscarriage last time. I wanted one, but now I've got it I'm worried sick that it will be a repeat of last time and it will all be wrong.

NatalieJane · 24/03/2006 11:59

Hi twocatsonthebed,

I just wanted to say good luck for the scan, I can't imagine how nerve racking it must be for you. Be sure to let us know how it goes :) I will keep my fingers crossed and will be thinking of you on Monday.

staceym11 · 24/03/2006 12:11

minnie congrats on the bfp! 11 weeks old, cor your brave! lol, but you cope with what you'v got dont you! Smile

fatbetty, im near croydon (lovely place) but moving to redhill in a few weeks, which should be brill! where abouts are you?

i seem to have lost my sickness bands (dont ask me how only had them 3 days) and been terrible this morning, if i cant find them im buying some more!! esp, for the car journey!!!

meggmoo · 24/03/2006 13:30

NatalieJane and Minnie - welcome and congratulations from me too! Grin

NatalieJane · 24/03/2006 13:34

Thanks meggmoo :) It seems really strange still!

MeggLeVache · 24/03/2006 13:37

Tell me about it! I'm still rather Blush from being on the TTC thread - I don't think I'll ever live that down!

MeggLeVache · 24/03/2006 13:37

Oh by the way I have joined the French bandwagon Grin

NatalieJane · 24/03/2006 13:40

LOL It was a very flying visit!!! But that is what we like :)

Still a little bit worried because we concieved on the 1st of March, but PG tests didn't pick up any hormone last week, and even the two I did last night were very faint results, I would have thought there should be more hormone by now....?

mygirllolipop · 24/03/2006 13:43

2cats will be thinking of you on Monday, hope all goes well for you, can understand how nervous you're feeling.

MeggLeVache · 24/03/2006 13:49

Does it not vary from person to person? A friend of mine only had the faintest of lines when she was about 4 months pregnant and mine is still barely noticable (I felt compelled to use up the second test!).

I know another lady who did several prg tests, one was positive - she went to her doctors and two tests were negative so she went home and forgot about it and thought her periods had stopped due to stress. She was watching tv with her husband one night and freaked out as she felt the baby going mad and kicking. A very swuft appointment at the doctors the next day confirmed she was 23 weeks pregnant. Weird or what!!!!

NatalieJane · 24/03/2006 13:53

Cor what a shock!!!

I hope that is all it is, but I am refusing to get stressed by anything today!! I can worry all I want tomorrow, today I am just wallowing in hapiness!!

I am off for a bit now, will be back later though if you will be around?

Bye for now though, TC xxx

MeggLeVache · 24/03/2006 13:54

Sure speak to you then!
