Hiya,
Thought I would start a thread as I couldn't seem to find one
I had a BFP yesterday - which by my estimations makes lo#2 due early November! I already have a ds who is 15 months (14/11/04) and my BFP with him was 2 days earlier than this one, how strange is that?
Anyway, looking forward to getting to know anyone that joins this thread and wishing everybody a happy healthy pg

thanks Catty B. I'm at the epu for a scan tomorrow, so perhaps they can shed some light on it all for me. I still feel bad... Meggmoo... go to the doc, sounds like its painful, they'll be able to give you something.
Mower, good luck for tomorrow.xxx

mower · 19/03/2006 19:20

Spinach, is there a chance that you may be anemic (sorry if that is wrong spelling). It sounds like you lost alot of blood with your recent surgery which could make you anemic. Also I was quite anemic with last pregnancy, don't think it started till about 20 weeks though. It was awful, was so tired and felt really down with it, like so tired that I just did not know what to do with myself. The iron tablets helped, but gave me bad tummy.

Good luck for your scan tomorrow as well. xxx

meggmoo · 19/03/2006 19:29

Thanks for the suggestions, Catty I was thinking the same - about the coliky babies, how spooky is that? It's good to know that it isn't unheard of.

Mower and Spinach - good luck tomorrow with your scans!

toadstool · 19/03/2006 20:34

good morning eveyone, welcome to all the newbies!

as for all the questions on doctors, with my first pg i went to see doc at about 5 weeks and saw the midwife at about 7 weeks, the first scan was 12 weeks.

this time as we'r moving house i wont be going to docs till about 8 weeks, prob be at midwifes by 9/10 weeks and have a scan around 12 weeks.

starting to feel rather strange that iv not been sick, i should be greatful as i had a terrible time with dd as i couldnt eat anything at all, but its worrying me that im not being sick, oh will just keep my fingers crossed and try not to worry!!!

Morning all Smile

Welcome to all the newbies - I have just had my scan appt through - 19th April - I think I will be about 13 weeks then, so it feels a long time to wait Sad but with ds to keep me busy, I am sure that it will fly by!

Stacym11 - Maybe the fact that you haven't been sick yet means that this one will be a blue one? Grin or as there is not that big gap between dd and this pg, your body might already be used to the hormones?

Take care all xxx

So glad everything has gone ok for you at the scans today. Did they have any useful advice to try and lessen sickness Spinach, or did you not ask?

mower · 20/03/2006 11:27

Spinach am soooo pleased for you also!!

awayfromhome · 20/03/2006 11:28

spinach and mower - really glad your scans went well.

staceym11 · 20/03/2006 11:30

oh glad the scans both went ok!! im so pleased for you both. well dd is 17 month so not a very big gap, but my body hated being pregnant with her. hope its a blue one, if its not dp wants to have just one more to see, not that he wouldnt love his girls coz he does but theres lots of girls in his family and hed love a boy!!!

meggmoo · 20/03/2006 11:45

Spinach & Mower, scan news is GREAT! Smile

MommyUpNorth · 20/03/2006 11:49

Spinach & Mower I'm so pleased to read your scan news! :)

cece · 20/03/2006 12:38

mower, pleased to hear your news too.

Did they give an explanation as to why you were less pg than you thought. The more I think about my scan and the 'lost' 2 weeks the more worried I get. The dates don't just work out if I am 2 weeks less than I thought!

mower · 20/03/2006 13:08

I can understand you being worried cece, but I am sure that everything must be ok for you. They said everything was ok with your scan didn't they, I bet you just ovulate later than most.

Mine is later than thought as I was going from last af, but my cycles have been all over the place as am still bf ds.

MeAndMyBoy · 20/03/2006 14:25

Hi everyone sorry I haven't been around for a while, had a few busy days.

Welcome and congratuations to the new ladies looking forward to getting to know you over the next few months.

Spinach and mower such good news on your scans ladies, and Cece I am so glad that your news is good too. I can understand your worried about the dates being so different but hopefully it's just one of those anomalies with the way they work the figures out.

Finally I have my DH home for a few weeks, which feels really good, but very strange as well. DS and I are having to readjust to having him back.

Feeling sooo crap in the evenings, very sick and tired just can't get off the sofa, dozed all evening yesterday and then got the bed at 10, but this morning felt great.

I'm not planning on going to the docs for another couple of weeks yet when I should be about 10 weeks by my dates so hopefully won't have too long to wait for scans and booking in appointments etc.

mygirllolipop · 20/03/2006 15:48

Aaaaaaaaaargh, DD3 teething blees her, but she was up every hour and on top of nausea I feel like crap 2day. I haven't actually been sick yet but 2day I thought I would be, it was kinda 'I'll not make it to the toilet, where can I be sick?' DD3 is 11 months and I've still got MS so stacey you are very lucky!
Meggmoo - the Dr said it takes two appointments to fill in all the forms they've got (six I think), then he'll ref me to the MW and hosp (as have underactive thyroid). I rang for appointment today and I'm there on Wed am so not long to wait.
Spinach and mower - congrats on scans gone well. The Dr has put me due on 7th Nov by my af's but I know my cycle was 34days with bf'ing not 28days and they say you ov 2 weeks before af and I know I did as done ov test. So I've counted 38 weeks from then instead of 40 weeks from first day lmp to get 13th nov.

Cece - I was always given dates less further on with DD's 1&2 but then dates further on then less further on with DD3, she showed up on the due date I had worked out for myself. With DD1 I was given a due date of 12 days later thean I thought and she was born five days late according to me and a week early according to the scan I really wouldn't worry about it honey.
Hope everyone is well.

Molly10 · 20/03/2006 15:54

Hi Everyone

I'd like to join in too :) I had my first bfp on Friday for #1. We are delighted after 7 anxious years trying, due around 19th Nov.

meggmoo · 20/03/2006 16:15

Hi MOlly Congrats to you - wonderful news!

CECE I'm sometimes a bit dubious when it comes to the scans. They insisted that I couldn't be more than x weeks pregnant last time round which would have been an impossibilty as dh was working abroad and I knew they were at least 3 weeks out. Turns out I was right and ds arrived "supposedly" 14 days late, well not according to my dates.

staceym11 · 20/03/2006 16:30

mygirllollipop, your brave having another so soon!!! iv been feeling sick but havnt acctually been sick, got myself some travel sickness bands which seem to be working so far. fingers crossed as last time was so bad, i couldnt be like that this time as have dd to look after.

welcome molly! congrats on your bfp!!!!

HopingCat · 20/03/2006 16:39

Congratulations Molly!
You'll probably find it really good on this thread, because almost everyone has been pg before and has tips on loads of things. I'm pg with my first and feel I can ask anything I want.

spinach · 20/03/2006 16:42

welcome molly, huge congrats, you must be on cloud nine!

Mower, I'm 6+3, as I thought so still due 10th November.

I asked them why I feel so awful and they took boloods for anemia etc and said would ring if there was a problem. they havent rung so i guess its all normal. Its probably just post operative, I have that strange back of the head, post anasthetic ache just before i need to sleep. Guess it will take a while to go.
