Hiya,
Thought I would start a thread as I couldn't seem to find one
I had a BFP yesterday - which by my estimations makes lo#2 due early November! I already have a ds who is 15 months (14/11/04) and my BFP with him was 2 days earlier than this one, how strange is that?
Anyway, looking forward to getting to know anyone that joins this thread and wishing everybody a happy healthy pg

CattyB · 17/03/2006 22:01

yeah I've taken in all my last 3 pgs and really feel it made a huge difference. It was esp good after #3 was born as I felt I coped far better with the tiredness than I had before when I hadn't been taking it. Hugs whatever.

spinach · 17/03/2006 22:10

thanks, i will try it

MommyUpNorth · 18/03/2006 10:50

Hi everyone! I haven't read through the whole thread, but I'd like to add my name to the list! Just found out this morning that we'll be expecting #4 around 25 November! :) Congratulations to everyone here!! :o

CattyB · 18/03/2006 14:38

Hattie05 · 18/03/2006 15:08

Congratulations MummyupNorth.

I feel so very paranoid! i know its normal worries.

spinach · 18/03/2006 19:44

welcome mummyupnorth.
For all of those feeling sick... what are you managing to eat, i cant bear the sight of food and what i can eat is junk. any suggestions for healthy bland food i could try?

velcrobott · 18/03/2006 20:15

Hi Spinach...
Fruit: banana? apple?
What about toasts?
Did you sleep much today?

spinach · 18/03/2006 20:25

i couldnt face a banana! vomit city! I woke at 7.30, back in bed by 9-12, awake till 3, slept till 7. So have been awake a total of 6 hours so far, and I'll be off to bed soonish.

velcrobott · 18/03/2006 20:28

That sounds much more tired than anyone I know..... call GP on Monday (I know you have an appointment planned but I think a call isn't pushing it!)

spinach · 18/03/2006 20:49

everyone keeps telling me i should expect to be this tired, pregnant and cos of the surgery, i dont thin thats right though.

spinach · 18/03/2006 20:50

I'm having a scan on monday, perhaps i could ask the nurse there at the epu

cece · 18/03/2006 20:52

You do seem to be much worse than everyone else spinach. Trust your instincts - if you don't feel right then see the doc.

spinach · 18/03/2006 20:57

i will try and talk to someone on monday, i cant keep going like this. i 've never felt this bad

cece · 18/03/2006 21:00

I won't telly you about the roast dinner I have had tonight..... Grin

Good news too that today have not really noticed much bleeding at all. Almost non-existent so keeping everything crossed.

spinach · 18/03/2006 21:04

oh dont! good news about your bleeing then! it seems so common in the early stages, i was reading through the other antenatal threads and so many of them had scares... awful isnt it.

cece · 18/03/2006 21:27

Yes, I sort of sailed though my 2 pg so assumed I would with this one too. It has all been a big worry and I don't suppose I will stop for several weeks yet..

Luckily have never had ms but just to make you feel better my piles get much worse Blush

MommyUpNorth · 19/03/2006 09:12

Thanks so much for the welcome! :) I don't think it's really sunk in yet for me, but I do feel my jeans getting a bit tighter already!?! Blush Only 5 weeks!! I've added my bit to this list...

Morning everyone,

cece so glad to hear your bleeding is stopping. So many of us seem to have had bleeding in early pregnancy. I haven't had any bleeding for two weeks now.

Spinach, so sorry to hear you are not feeling too good, I agree I think you should make appt with gp to see if there is anything they can do to make try to make you feel better. I am feeling so tired this morning and grumpy and sick. Scan tomorrow morning, i'll let you all know how I get on.

cece · 19/03/2006 09:44

mower, oh I am pleased your bleeding has stopped for now. Such a relief isn't it? Hope your scan goes well tomorrow. Mine is still better today - not stoped copmpletley but hardly there iyswim.

MommyUpNorth · 19/03/2006 11:03

When did everyone make their first midwife appointment? I can't really remember with the last 3. I'm sure with my 1st, I phoned the gp as soon as I'd taken the test! :o Is the first scan around 8 weeks? I suppose I'll phone the midwife tomorrow and see what they say. I'm going to get my last pregnancy notes out this afternoon and see roughly when everything was just to refresh my memory!

I still can't believe I really am? Is it completely bonkers to keep doing pregnancy tests? When does one go to the doctor-last time round it really was a total shock and I don't think I got to see a midwife until I was 21 weeks!

meggmoo · 19/03/2006 15:56

I feel a bit embarrassed about asking this but if anyone can shed any light I will be grateful.

I have the most horrendous trapped wind ATM. I have never had it for more than a couple of hours ever but I've had it for about 3 or 4 days and I'm in agony. Is this normal? I didn't get it with ds.

mygirllolipop · 19/03/2006 17:08

Hello
glad to hear bleeding stopped for mower and cece.
Wind is apparantly a common problem in pg! Well I need to ring the Dr's for another appointment 2moro! Can't believe how long this takes, begining to wish I hadn't taken so long to ring for the first appointment now!

meggmoo · 19/03/2006 17:10

MGL- Why is it taking so long for you? Is it just your doc's?

CattyB · 19/03/2006 18:04

Hey meggmoo - I had terrible trapped wind at the beggining (makes you feel really sorry for those wee babies who get bad colic) and despite my best efforts and lots of rolling around the floor with my knees tucked up trying to shift it I ended up going to the chemists and getting wind-ease (ok in pg) which definetly helped. Better now - I just fart like a trooper Blush just as well this is #4 and dh is used to it - bless him.
Glad thinks have settled down cece and mower. Poor you spinach - hope the doc is able to see you before Wed. I know after I had non-gynae surg I felt absolutely sh**e. Just because of the anaesthetic and blood loss. Can't imagine how awful it would have been if I'd been pg too.
