Hiya,
Thought I would start a thread as I couldn't seem to find one
I had a BFP yesterday - which by my estimations makes lo#2 due early November! I already have a ds who is 15 months (14/11/04) and my BFP with him was 2 days earlier than this one, how strange is that?
Anyway, looking forward to getting to know anyone that joins this thread and wishing everybody a happy healthy pg

thanks browniechick, cece, i hope you're ok.
Mower, you still around?

mower · 15/03/2006 20:55

Still around spinach, just been busy these last few days, thank goodness, taking my mind off if everything is ok. How are you doing?? Not long till scans, nervous but excited.

awayfromhome · 16/03/2006 04:08

cece - really sorry to see your post when I got up this morning - big hugs and fingers crossed for you xx

Fatbelly - I have done a few long haul flights with DD and have found that piriton works when I can't get her to settle.

awayfromhome · 16/03/2006 04:13

Blush Blush meant fatbetty - apologies for the typo - note to read properly before posting.... Must have stomachs on the mind - just got back from a playgroup where quite a few of us are in the early stages of pregnancy and have been discussing the sorry state of our stomaches!!

staceym11 · 16/03/2006 09:05

hello everyone,

oh cece im so sorry bleeding has got worse, i really hope that the hospital can help you out.

fatbetty you must be really brave to do that flight on your own, dont even think id do one with dp and dd atm she only 17 month but shes really active and hates being told she cant run around!!!

hope everyone else is ok, ms hasnt started yet touch wood!! it would make life a lot harder if i get it as bad as when i had dd!!!

i havnt been to see the doc yet, as we'r moving in a few weeks to a different borough i dont really see the point in going to see a doc and midwife here, then having to change both doc and midwife and reschedule scan for new borough, all seems like a bit much hassle, and as long as i dont have any pain (except when i pick dd up too quickly) or bleeding i dotn really see the benefit of them knowing this early.

with dd i went to the docs at 6 week thinking theyd do a test to confirm it or summit and he just said 'ok if home pg test was pos il refer you to midwife'. dont see much point in that! lol

mygirllolipop · 16/03/2006 10:00

Hi all, cece any news love?
fatbetty I have just realised I made the same typo as AFH Blush - no offense just with us all having fat bellies it must have been on my mind.
Dr's 2moro.

brodiesmummy · 16/03/2006 10:49

Thanks for everyones welcome. With first pregnancy flitted in and out of mums net. Thanks for adding my stats-its exciting thinking of all these babies due to pop at the same time. With DS I had 3 bleeds in the time btn week 7-11 with no real explanation.Fortunately I work in a maternity hospital with ward specifically for probs/scares in early pregnancy so had no probs getting a scan.Maybe other local matty's have this too.Remember how scary it is so thoughts with anyone going through this at the mo.

fatbetty · 16/03/2006 12:10

Not to worry about mistake with name. I will shortly have to change my name to fatbelly anyways.

i've done the flight with the kids on my own once before and it wasn't too bad. Hopefully I won't have too bad of morning sickness on the flight. At least my family is at the other end and I can hand over the kids to them once I get there!

Cece, sending out positive vibes your way....hope all is well.

velcrobott · 16/03/2006 13:13

Hope Cece is all right.... I think early bleeding is quite common and it doesn't always have to be serious but like many of you I too check my knickers Blush

cece · 16/03/2006 13:18

Hi everyone! Smile

They kept me in overnight and just got back. They thought it might be ectopic (sp)so gave me a scan first thing.

Good news - baby is still there and strong heartbeat but only measuring 6 weeks not 8 weeks like I thought?!

Not so good news - I am bleeding because I have a heamotomia (sp) blood clot I think in my womb ... That is why the blood is brown. They don't seem too worried though. Said it may increase chance of miscarriage or maybe not?! So next scan is 12 week scan which is already booked for April 19th. Unless the blood turns bright red of course Sad

mygirllolipop · 16/03/2006 13:33

cece I had a haematoma with dd3 and bled from 8-14 weeks, she's fine although I started bleeding in labour too. they said it was a threatened MC but that the bleeding was nothing to do with her and that she was fine. I'm sure you will be fine too.

HopingCat · 16/03/2006 13:33

Cece - it's good to hear from you Smile
Glad your baby has a strong heartbeat and that you know what's causing the problem. Hope you can relax a little bit now, but know it must be hard when you've been told a miscarriage may or may not be more likely. Do you think you could have got your dates wrong by 2 weeks? And do you now have a different due date?

cece · 16/03/2006 13:50

They didn't mention a chnaged due date but it has got me thinking... My other two los were both born 2 weeks late?! Maybe they were 2 weeks less than I thought as well.

It is possible that I concieved two weeks later, it would have been the weekend before my af was due though. Went to a party and drank a lot of vodka Blush Might explain the very faint pg test lines and the week of cramping I had!?

awayfromhome · 16/03/2006 14:04

cece - good to hear from you. Glad to hear that you are out of hospital, sorry about the haematoma - fingers crossed it doesn't cause any further problems.

It must have been a great relief to see the heartbeat on the scan..

staceym11 · 16/03/2006 14:20

oh cece, im glad your feeling a bit better about it. if the hospital arent worried id try not to worry too much. it depends how they work it out, if you are 6 weeks the baby is only 4 weeks as you fall about 2 weeks into your cycle, they could be measuring it differently to you!

was nearly sick this morning, dd had been sick (a tiny bit) in her bed, so went into her bed this morning and the smell was overwhelming, even tho dp couldnt smell it!! but managed not to, so hopefully thats a sign and i wont be too bad this time!! (still touching that wood)

fatbetty · 16/03/2006 17:11

I just told my friend that I was pregnant and I feel awful. She would have been two weeks pg ahead of me but she had a miscarriage last week. She said that she was fine and feeling okay about it, but when I told her that I was pg she cried. I feel so bad. :( Can't get out of feeling horrible at the moment.

spinach · 16/03/2006 17:38

cece, so glad you're okay. hopefully its all just a mix up with your dates then? keep taking it easy. I have a scan on monday i'll be just over six weeks, so hoping they can see a heartbeat too. take care xxx.

Mower, i'm so anxious about monday too. feel all is well as i feel so sick. have spent most of today sleeping as i feel like i've been hit by a bus. total exhaustion.

cece · 16/03/2006 18:21

good luck spinach - the doc did say that they don't always see a hearbeat at 6 weeks as it can be a bit early. It looked like a little kidney bean but with a beating heart iyswim. Was lovely to see it though Smile

twocatsonthebed · 16/03/2006 19:34

betty - I had a miscarriage last year and I know it's a really difficult situation, you really want to be happy for your friends but at the same time you just want to cry. But it's really not your fault, and she will understand, even when she's crying!

and cece - great news about the scan. I'd hoped I'd get one this week, but the surgery haven't heard anything from the hospital. Grr

cece · 16/03/2006 21:40

however I must say that the vaginal scanner thing was a bit wierd - just me and the sonographer in the room.... Blush at the condom they put on it!

Hattie05 · 16/03/2006 23:26

Hi everyone, i have just spotted this thread, and today have discovered i am expecting no. 2 due 22 November Grin. Already have dd no. 3 and have been trying for a long time.

I haven't had time to read the whole thread, but hopefully will be getting to know you all over the next few months.

Cece, i am so sorry to hear your news Sad. Wishing you as well as can be xxx

meggmoo · 17/03/2006 08:51

Hello everyone.
I am megg
34
1 ds 22 mths
1 lovely dh
1 daft dog

Think I may have made a huge mistake with my dates.

My last AF was Feb 10th so when does that make my due date. I thought December but looks like I may have screwed up Grin

CattyB · 17/03/2006 08:56

Morning all,

Blush me too I'm afraid betty sorry - strange, or just Freudian, that we all made the same mistake?

cece sorry to hear about all your excitment yesterday. I hope today is better and everything is much calmer. I guess at least now you know the cause which is often better than being completely in the dark and your mind going into overdrive. Take special care of yourself.

Congratulations and Welcome Hattie05. Was slightly confused by your post (baby brain kicking in already). Take it this is pg #2 and your dd is 3 yo? Don't forget to slot yourself into the stats.

Hope everone has a good day.

CattyB · 17/03/2006 08:58

Hi Meggmo - you sneaked in while I was posting. congrats to you too. With your last af being feb 10th and if your usual cycle is 28days you are due 17th November.
