Hiya,
Thought I would start a thread as I couldn't seem to find one
I had a BFP yesterday - which by my estimations makes lo#2 due early November! I already have a ds who is 15 months (14/11/04) and my BFP with him was 2 days earlier than this one, how strange is that?
Anyway, looking forward to getting to know anyone that joins this thread and wishing everybody a happy healthy pg

38! Bet you don't even dye your hair! LOL

velcrobott · 13/03/2006 19:37

no LOL....
38 ain't old (neither is 40) but as I was diagnosed with premature menopause and an 8% chance to concieve......

cece · 13/03/2006 19:47

Ba what do doctors know eh? Pretty impressive conception then....

velcrobott · 13/03/2006 19:54

I am very chuffed especially as I spotted some egg white (for once ! as I don't usually ovulate) and went for it !!!! And it worked !

littlemermaid · 13/03/2006 19:57

Hi

Can't belive there are so many of you I'll be struggling to keep up - any room for a latecomer ?? I got my BFP today so due 22nd November, really weird as my cousin's first baby arrived this morning 2 weeks early. I already have a DS aged 17 months and DH and I absolutely thrilled, he has been dispatched to the shop for a celebratory bottle of champagne for himself and a huge bar of Green and Blacks choc for me ! Good luck to everyone xxx

cece · 13/03/2006 20:00

velcrobott - well done! Blush

littlemermaid - congratulations and welcome

velcrobott · 13/03/2006 20:06

she was the one who told me i was pg, kept pointing at my belly saying baby!!!!

novis · 13/03/2006 22:12

Hi to all due in Nov 06 girls!

I am due 7th Nov, this is my 1st pregnancy and so far - at 6 wks today - I am feeling a little tired and have had some cramping (wk 4/5). Hoping to escape morning sickness. Wink

CattyB · 13/03/2006 22:30

Hi there,
Hope everyone is still well. Congratulations little mermaid.
Symptoms have been ok - still feeling a wee bit sick now and again and still tired, was at the gym this morning and got to say I'm starting to struggle - not that I was ever very fit Wink. Boobs haven't been sore at all this time round but nips are a bit more tender while bf ds#3. Amazed I can still fit into my trousers considering it was only 9 months ago that he popped out. I'm sure when I had my 2nd I was into matty trousers almost straight away - he was my biggest at 10 2 - maybe thats why?
Anyway, off to bed as working in the morning (still hoping it will snow and I won't be able to go as I'll need to go out sledging with my boys instead but don't think its going to hapen Sad). Take care.

CattyB · 13/03/2006 22:32

Conrats to you too novis!

(sorry you snuck in between my starting my post, feeding and finally getting round to putting it up)

HopingCat · 14/03/2006 08:54

Congratulations novis and little mermaid Grin

Novis - there aren't many of us on this thread who are expecting their first, but I'm one of them. Have a look at the stats further down and add your own Smile

littlemermaid · 14/03/2006 09:12

thanks for everybody's posts. Sorry to report Velcrobot that I couldn't eat the Green and Blacks (dark) it made me retch, not a good sign !! Stacym11 same age gap, so we're in the same boat, my DS is going through a destroying phase he can't be left alone for a second otherwise he's on the kitchen table tipping over vases of flowers or flushing my mobile down the loo. Interesting to see so many second and third timers here, I'm shocked to find that I already have symptoms - sore breasts, sickness, hope everyone is feeling OK this morning.

cece · 14/03/2006 09:48

morning everyone.

Not had a good night, when I went to bed I noticed a brown stain in knickers and when wiping. Sadsorry if tmi.
Phoned NHS Direct in a panic. By the time they phoned back it had stopped. Doc I spoke to said to wait and see if it came back or got worse... He sai dthat what I had had wasn't anything to get worried about - but it is hard not to... So staying in and not doing anything much today. It is hard not to keep going to the loo to check though.

velcrobott · 14/03/2006 09:53

Cece - I know you are worried but brown blood is old blood... it's fresh stuff that tends to worry doctors.

cece · 14/03/2006 09:57

Thanks that is what the doc said, after the lecture on natures way....nothing can be done if... blah blah blah...

This was all at 1 am this morning!

Still am hopeful it was just a one off as no more yet....

staceym11 · 14/03/2006 10:02

cece im sure its nothing to worry about, but il keep my fingers crossed for you anyway!!!

welcome novis! congrats on your BFP, i wish id found this site when pg with dd it would have made it a lot easier for me, but i didnt until she was bigger, at least now iv got support around when i need it! lol if theres anything you need to know there is surely going to be someone who can tell you!

my dd like that too little mermaid, she loves ripping paper so i need to watch what we leave around, but the only thing she does with my mob is opens it to see daddy (theres a pic of him on there) so i suppose im lucky in that respect!!!!

cece · 14/03/2006 10:04

staceym11
that is what I am hoping... DH thinks I had something similar when pg with ds, but I can't remember so not sure what to think...

staceym11 · 14/03/2006 10:19

wit this pg i had some brownish blood at about 3 weeks and thought af was coming, but it never did, and here i am now! lol, the body does all sorts of things to worry you!

try not to worry too much, its not good for the baby!!!!

cece · 14/03/2006 10:23

That is how it was like the spotting just before af... but am 7 and half weeks pg now....

Am trying to be calm but stressing about going to work on Thursday. Can be quite stressful and I have to work late till 7.30 pm this week (having leaving the house at 7.30 in the morning...)

staceym11 · 14/03/2006 10:28

it will be fine, im sure of it.

bad luck on working late, im so glad im not working anymore (too busy looking after dd) but when pg with her i spent all my time at work fainting or being sick, so glad i dont have to do that again! lol

cece · 14/03/2006 10:30

I only do two days, Thurs and Fri. Usually enjoy it but not when I have to work late!

No one knows at work so may have to tell my boss a bit sooner than I planned. A bit awkward as my new boss is an old friend of mine!

staceym11 · 14/03/2006 10:38

what do you do for work?? is this your first pg?

staceym11 · 14/03/2006 10:39

no its not you've got a son im thick! lol, does he go to nursery?

cece · 14/03/2006 10:40

stacey,
I have a ds aged 2 and half and a dd aged 5. I work as a junior teacher...
