Munz, let your pregnancy hormones loose on him, its not fair that your dp should be away that close to the birth.

Our watet boiler started leeking lastnight so dh went to turn it off and has managed to turn all the water off so the toilet wont even flush, now i have to wait for my dad to come and look at it and he does'nt get up till 10am.

Cut dd's hair yestaday and it looks realy stupid ( like the girl on the yellow pages add) so wont be taking her out for a while .

vicki, i hope your not too bruised this morning, i'm always falling over but have been lucky and hav'nt fell over in this pregnancy.

Hope the rest of you are all well.

Lets start getting these baby's out

Frizbetheexpansionset · 22/02/2006 09:12

Marne did you do the pudding bowl thing?! lol, I remember in the 70's when my mother did that to me

Marne · 22/02/2006 09:52

Friz, it does look like i did the pudding bowl thing, lets hope it grows back.

Frizbetheexpansionset · 22/02/2006 10:40

Just remember to breathe hon, practice now, get dh to time you, deep in and out breaths for a minute, so's you remember how to do it all when the pain kicks in!!

RosiePosie · 22/02/2006 11:14

You'll be fine hun, it can't be that bad - I'm onto my third! Relax, breathe and do nothing else ( apart from use pain relief if you need it! )

MeAndMyBoy · 22/02/2006 11:15

Oh Munz fingers crossed and soooooo excited for you. Relax and breathe, you're going to meet your lo.

coppertop · 22/02/2006 13:01

How exciting! Good luck, Munz. xx

vickiyumyum · 22/02/2006 13:40

munz - just got back from hosp appt and seen your post, i was going to say go to the m/w and get it checked as they can do an examination to see if waters have broken, but looks like you have already gone in! good luck!!!!

i am fine now, still feeling silly from my fall, it was in front of about 10 car salesman! and a couple were quite cute, went to see consultant today as blood sugars have been doing strange things, now have to stab myself twice a day to monitor them, not very good with that i am fine giving other people injections or tkaing their blood but a wimp when it comes to my own.
they also put me on the ctg to check lo was ok, and all is fine, at moment c/s date still 16th march, depending on what my blood sugars come back at, if they are still up the creek then they may bring it forward.

fingers crossed for you munz, hope all goes well, and come on you other ladies, although actually saying that don't all have yours yet i don't want to be the last one!

vickiyumyum · 22/02/2006 13:42

can someone post a link to munz thread i can't find it! thanks

MeAndMyBoy · 22/02/2006 14:12

Munzies thread for you

here

totallyinlove · 22/02/2006 14:26

friz any news??

you are all going to leave me behind at this rate

vickiyumyum · 22/02/2006 14:38

thanks for the link!

Frizbetheexpansionset · 22/02/2006 16:29

TIL trust me I doubt its me leaving you behind! although do still have intermittant back ache, so you never know!
Have seen midwife today and she did remind me that these 2nd ones have a horrible habit of stopping and starting...wasn't my normal midwife or I'd have asked her to check if I'd dilated any after last weeks episode! am still nicely engaged tho, so?
Hope Munz is dilating now, as the other thread said she wasn't....
How's everyone else??

laundrylover · 22/02/2006 16:39

Hi all,
Keep checking Munz's thread and have my fingers crossed for a baby this evening for her.
Today I am sooo knackered that I have done sweet FA despite Tilly being in nursery. Oh no actually I have loaded the dishwasher!!
God at this rate I'll still be trying to finish off my work commitments in the pool in labour!
A girl from one of the places I work for had a baby boy this morning. Good 8lber and sounded like hard work!
Hope you are all well and enjoying the miserable weather....

RosiePosie · 22/02/2006 17:01

Nowt happening here, apart from over active bowels ( sorry! ) - didn't have this with the other two, so I don't know if it's going to happen soon or not - well, obviously it's going to happen soon, I'm 39 wks pg lol.

Astrophe · 22/02/2006 17:49

Any exciting news from Munz? I'm extremely jelous (well...sort of...I'm actually quite comfy here on the couch )

Romilly - advice for posterior labour...I managed without epidural/forceps etc (forceps are VERY uncommon in Aust...are they common here? I am absolutely terrified and think I'd rather have a C section). I did use gas for ages but I think it made me really tense and a bit loopy. Hot bath was good. I knelt on the floor and leaned over birth ball. Towards the end I had pethadine and I think thats what helped me relax and got DD to finally turn, and I finished dilating. Still had a long second stage, but the pethadine really helped with the back pain (as if the contractions arn't enough to deal with!). So I'd say don't hold back on pethadine if you need it, but be encouraged that you can deliver posterior bubs without intervention! (depending on how things progress of course. My labour was 25 hours start to finish, which I think is short for posterior, though I'm not really sure of stats!)

Vickyy sorry to hear about your fall...hope you are all better now!

Newgirl - I think you get some sort of spray that repels stains on the new sofas...maybe ask at the sofa shop?

Had another bout of painful contractions and back pain last night. I was sure it was starting so had a shower, went to bed and...nothing. Very discouraging really. Was woken in the night by DD (21 months) who has just started waking and crying for ages in the night...last night it was almost 4 hours on and off, with DH and I going in and settling etc. I am SO tired and terrified about how we will cope. She has been an excellent sleeper up until the last few weeks. Any top tips?

Frizbetheexpansionset · 22/02/2006 18:41

Hmmm astrophe, dd did a waking thing a little later on but has just about gotten out of it now, I'm afraid it was just a perseverance thing with her, comfort and leave again......sorry, not what you need to hear with a newbie on the way.....if its any help she now settles nicely for dh, as well as myself! in fact sometimes better for dh
Sorry you didn't kick off last night, I had similar last week, pants isn't it....

RP bowels! well overdrive can sometimes mean the start of things?!

laundrylover · 22/02/2006 21:14

Astrophe, Tilly has a been sleeping terribly for the past few weeks so wonder if it has something to do with the baby being due? It's very annoying and the last thing you need eh? No tips sorry just sympathy! We thought of a sticker chart but last night she slept through....fingers crossed for a good night for everybody.

Marne · 22/02/2006 21:17

DD is'nt sleeping through but she never has done, she climbs into my bed evry night, she's been worse the last few weeks, dont know what she will be like when baby is in our room.

lollol · 22/02/2006 21:30
