Just nipping in to wish tock well in her scan. I don't even get a booking appt until mid June! I tried to convince the receptionist that I didn't really need a long appt as I'm a bit of an old hand, but she wasn't having any of it. Apparently being pregnant has changed in the last 2 years.

NinjaChipmunk · 23/05/2012 11:24

ooh spritz away whims how refreshing in this weather! I think being pregnant must change from month to month as friends of mine who've recently had babies have been given different info from me, especially with regards to food.
YY good luck to tock I didn't realise the scan was today. Do give us an update afterwards.
My sling rings have arrived so time to start making my new sling tomorrow. Exciting! I also have lots of boring paperwork to sort through which is not so exciting but hopefully I can just shred lots of it.
What is everyone else up to?

Ooo good luck for the scan today Tock! Will be checking back for an update!

Anything much happening Jen? Hope the sweep has helped...

Ninja, sling making sounds exciting! Quite tempted by the idea of making my own. Who was it who was talking about slings before - Biscuits maybe? I can confirm that DH and DD like the Moby - we went for quite a long walk on Sunday and both were happy! (oddly we met the midwife who delivered me in the shopping centre - odd!). Going to give it a go myself in a minute to attempt to get some chores done...

NinjaChipmunk · 23/05/2012 11:53

steady on musical housework can always wait, isn't that what dh's are really good at when you've just given birth? Grin

True Ninja, but he's currently decorating the bathroom! We have wooden floors downstairs and they're now very crunchy... yick! Plus DH's boss is coming round for cuddles later, so would like to keep up appearances a bit!

DH has been very good - lots of chores, tidying and now onto DIY! As well as shopping, registering the birth, getting quotes for various bits of work etc. Can't complain :)

jenfraggle · 23/05/2012 12:31

Tock Yay for good scan

PurpleWithaBlueBun · 23/05/2012 18:56

Tock congratulations! Lovely seeing my baby now and knowing we were so privileged to see him at the start of his existence as a wee 7 week bean :)

That's the one Jen was lovely, we stayed two nights in a gorgeous family room :)

scarletfingernail · 23/05/2012 19:27

Fantastic news tock, I'm delighted for you Smile

Biscuitsandtea · 23/05/2012 20:21

Super news Tock Grin congrats! Grin

cakes82 · 23/05/2012 20:31

Super news Tock :o

I had my 20wk scan today have a very wriggly and shy baby. Didn't want to find out what it was anyway unless it decided to declare itself male, it didn't, it had its arms in way I think. Well when it didn't have one foot over head lol. I have an anterior placenta which explains why I haven't felt it yet. Looks like all is good :o

DreamingOfPeace · 23/05/2012 20:32

Huzzah tock, glad the ticktockbean has settled in nicely

The dreamy twins are going to break me. Yet another night where not once did I get them to sleep in their cot at the same time... And relentless feeding. ebf twins = constant feeding. I'm daydreaming about ff ;-) . And how blooming easy it is with just one baby if the other is miraculously asleep. They are still very lovely though, I'm very lucky with my three but very, very tired

NinjaChipmunk · 23/05/2012 21:26

Yay! Super news tock and cakes on your excellent scans. Lovely news indeed!
Poor dream with your continuing lack of sleep and constant feeding. You are doing brilliantly by managing to ebf for as long as you can, I can only imagine how hard it must be.
Now we will need a new thread soon, whose turn is it to start one?

Purple, I didn't see your PM, sorry! In fact I haven't investigated PMs on MN at all (prob because I'm mainly using the phone at the mo). Can't remember when I last updated, but the meeting with the BF support lady was excellent, very reassuring- our latch is predominantly good, though not always. Think I caused a lot of the damage early on. Anyway, today has been better - still painful but they haven't gotten worse at least!

Tock and Cakes, hurrah for great scans!

Dream, I'm still so so in awe of how you cope with the BBBBs now I realise just how tiring the night shifts can be. Hope you have a better night tonight.

Jen, brooking for some action from you soon!

ScrambledSmegs · 23/05/2012 22:04

Congratulations cakes! Ooh, scantastic today!

My stomach is weird - my tummy button is actually pinging out a little, then pulling in again. Is this the baby (14+6, bit early, no?) or am I about to explode [confused}

ScrambledSmegs · 23/05/2012 22:05

Balls. Confused

NinjaChipmunk · 23/05/2012 22:07

I think you'll explode smegs nothing to do with being pg at all Grin

ScrambledSmegs · 23/05/2012 22:14

Crap. I thought as much.

Grin
ScrambledSmegs · 23/05/2012 22:15

Oh god, we need a new thread! How do you go about starting one then? It's been ages!

NinjaChipmunk · 23/05/2012 22:21

go to the top of the page, underneath where it says topice - ante natal clubs is a little bit that says start new thread in this topic. Click on it, put in a thread name and a first post and go from there. Oh and come back and link here if there is space!

OP posts:
PurpleWithaBlueBun · 23/05/2012 22:21
