This way ladies

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
scarletfingernail · 17/05/2012 18:49

BTW Jen I'm not suggesting that I thin you should be induced, it only applied to me because it was the second time I'd mentioned since I'd gone over 40 weeks.

Loopy posterior placenta with DS. Back to back labour and birth, episiotomy and forceps delivery.
Posterior placenta with DD. DD making an entrance arm first, EMCS.
Congrats on your DS2, how lovely for DS1 Smile

Loopyhasanotherbean · 17/05/2012 19:21

feedback so far would suggest my consultants theory is bollocks then! she reckons that an anterior placenta= back to back = more likely to need CS, and posterior placenta = non back to back = i might have this baby in 3 hours and not need a CS....

DreamingOfPeace · 17/05/2012 19:27

Mine was the only anterior placenta and back to back in the list then was it?! I enjoyed my elcs. :-)

Hoping Musical has her baby and jen has been checked. Dying to see whether musical has a boy or a girl. I'm going to say...Erm...girl!

Biscuitsandtea · 17/05/2012 19:32

I think Minimusical = a girl too Smile

Is Jen an UBB?

And Wants a boy? Confused

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 17/05/2012 19:39

Good luck musical!

Thanks for the advice on the hips ladies - I've ordered a body pillow and will see if it helps :)

jenfraggle · 17/05/2012 19:43

Wants is having a boy and I've got a UBB.

I called the MLU and went in for monitoring. Ended up on the monitor for 52 mins before they were happy. Typically I had more movements while I was in there than I'd had all day Hmm

GenericDietCola · 17/05/2012 19:54

Just popping in to say glad all was well Jen. Hopefully your LO is gearing up for birth.

And GO MUSICAL! Although I suspect he or she is here by now!

BartletForAmerica · 17/05/2012 20:14

jen, my DS did EXACTLY the same. He'd be really quiet one day UNTIL the minute I arrived at the Assessment Unit and suddenly he'd wake up. Glad all was well.

How inconsiderate of MN to break last night!

Baby Isabelle was born at 4.45pm yesterday. 7lb 10. Beautiful, snuggly.. Loves feeding, hates being put down to sleep on her own, eek! Still on the ward at the moment.

Second degree tear, so in quite a bit of pain - but ok!

Thanks for everyone's supportive messages :-) I'll update properly at a computer at some point.. Jen, Wants*, any movement?

jaggythistle · 18/05/2012 07:46

congratulations! glad you got on at last with your news.

make sure you get some good drugs musical! it's rubbish going home in pain yes I'm the idiot that let them send me home with just paracetamol and Ibuprofen I ended up feeding lying down for a week even with the pain killers. Blush

enjoy all the snuggles. :)

NoMaybeAboutIt · 18/05/2012 07:59

Muusical this really is the best news ever Smile hope you aren't in too much pain. Will you be going home today? Did you make it to the pool in the end? Questions questions....... Grin

Wants3 · 18/05/2012 08:07

Congratulations musical enjoy your snuggles! I look forward to hearing more later.
I am still here but booked into the midwife at 10.15 for a sweep! DH has taken the day off so he can drive me there and back! I am hoping to go and get a gift for my sister afterwards.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 18/05/2012 08:08

Congratulations Musical! Well done, a perfect weight and a beautiful name! No Brooking for your tear to heal up asap. Enjoy your newborn snuggles!

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 18/05/2012 08:11

p.s. Two No Brooker babies on the same thread with the same name! (Different spellings of course). Shows all No Brookers have excellent taste in names!

Imps7 · 18/05/2012 08:19

Hooray!!!! Well done Musical!!!! Lovely lovely lovely. Xx

jenfraggle · 18/05/2012 08:26

Congratulations!

Wants it is your turn now and then me. It seems we are in due date order and as you are having a boy does this mean I'm due a girl?

Biscuitsandtea · 18/05/2012 08:26

Awesome awesome news Musical GrinGrin ThanksThanks

and a super name too.

If DS2 had been a DD we would have had either a third Isabelle or a second Abigail Smile. So yes, brookers do have impeccable taste in names Grin

GreenOlives · 18/05/2012 08:28

Massive congratulations Musical Thanks Grin

scarletfingernail · 18/05/2012 08:32

Huge congratulations Musical what lovely news. I'm so pleased for you x x

pommedechocolat · 18/05/2012 08:33

Yay muscial!!! What lovely news - great name, good weight and good news on the feeding :)

We're a classy bunch on the names :)

Thanks

I feel like we need a round up stats thread for all the babies that have been born. Where are we on girl boy now anyway?

GenericDietCola · 18/05/2012 09:02

Oh Musical what fabulous news! Great name, great weight and sounds like it was pretty much a sneeze birth as these things go! Hope you enjoy your first proper day with your DD!

jaggythistle · 18/05/2012 09:09

speaking of names i think i was too paranoid/chicken to properly introduce DS2. we did call him R oss (put extra space in in attempt to avoid searchability Blush) in the end - as he was a week early we never did have time to think of another! it seems to suit him ok and sounds nice with DS1's name i think. not that matching names is important hehe!
