Early poas-er seeks other December 2012 due dates

I've just had the official confirmation from my digital clearblue test after many a faint line. I have calculated my due date as 5th December and conception started with a curry, how much information am I supposed to share? Boobs aren't sore yet, just a bit bigger. Have had a horrific cold/flu/sore throat for a week and I am very very irrational.

Anyone else out there?

Hi I'd like to join too please!

Just found out this morning that I'm pregnant Smile

I reckon mid december is my due date.

Congrats to all !

Wittywhirl · 01/04/2012 17:59

Hi all,

It's so great to see so many December Mums' on here already! Seymore I would highly recommend OBEM, although if you are like me and suffering from a serious case of the weepies then you might need a box of tissues with you while you watch. It makes me feel a lot better about childbirth though.

I'm going for my first scan tomorrow, I'm only 5W but my DH has relocated us for his job and I'm over in Luxembourg and things work a bit differently over here. Could you wish me lots of good luck, I'm really nervous and I'm hoping the Dr will find everything is going how it should. This first 12 weeks is so nerve racking especially as it is my first pg.

I hope you are all having lovely relaxing Sundays Smile x

Welcome on board teajunky nice to see the thread filling up :)

All the bestwitty for tomorrow. I had an early scan last time round and sent me into panic mode but they scanned way too early and my DD is now sitting in her bath playing with her mermaids lol :D

BigRedIndiaRubberBall · 01/04/2012 20:39

Welcome tea junky - guess you'll be switching to decaff now? Tbh, I can't tell the difference - but last time I developed an addiction to vanilla redbush which I still have Smile.

Good luck witty - a friend of mine also had an early scan which showed nothing, and is now very, very pregnant, so don't panic if they can't find anything just yet - but hope they do...

Yikes - I found OBEM good grounding in how a delivery suite works - the room layouts, how often you'll see the midwife, what the equipment looks like etc. My NCT course leader hated it as it showed quite a few women opting for interventions halfway through, but that's also very realistic Smile. Looong way off yet though. I also can't watch it post-labour (and mine wasn't at all traumatic) but really looking forward to seeing this Thursday's, about what happens next. Now that's hard work!

pleasebethismonth · 01/04/2012 21:47

I'm totally addicted to obem, that moment when you meet your little bundle of joy, nothing beats it!

Still not much on the symptom front, don't know wether to feel lucky or be worried!

had friends over this weekend with their 5 month old, makes me so excited!

welcome to everyone and congratulations to all.

SeymoreButts · 01/04/2012 22:51

Congratulations and welcome to the new BFPs!

OBEM - I normally love it but this was the first episode I'd watched whilst pregnant and I have to say I enjoyed it a lot less. After my last labour I swore I would never do it again. I thought OBEM would be good therapy but I'm not sure! Like you say BigRed it's a looong way off!

AceOfBase · 02/04/2012 00:30

I will join in too ladies. I got my bfp a couple weeks ago but it was on the day my period was due so I calculated early Dec. This is dc3 I have ds 4 and dd 3. I just knew iykwim. Not planned AT ALL Shock

SeymoreButts · 02/04/2012 01:09

Congrats AceofBase! Me too, this will be DC 3 and it was a huge surprise. We have no baby stuff left at all...

Quills · 02/04/2012 08:06

Congratulations to all the new BFPs, glad to see plenty of fellow second (and third!) timers on here.

Wittywhirl, good luck today - will be thinking of you!

Chloe55 · 02/04/2012 08:19

Hi, hope I am not jinxing things by joining here so soon but got my bfp yesterday-due dec 8th, I have a 6yr old ds and have been ttc for 5 years with medical help and unfortunately 2 mcs so am terrified. Over the moon but terrified. I am getting the odd cramp which is scaring me half to death but the sensible side of my head is telling me this is totally normal and to not stress. Boob ache happening too.

AceOfBase · 02/04/2012 09:10

I know seymore we have nothing either. Well, I have several double prams but unless its twins we have no need for them do we! I didn't keep any clothes or anything since we weren't going to have any more. Silly me... I also am feeling rather sick and tired and sore and my boobs are most definitely inflating (oh no!) And I've had the headaches etc too. My last two were awful pgs so i am desperately hoping that this might be different but its not likely really :( Brew all round ladies eh.

Oh I didn't bother with maternity clothes before as i favour billowy tops and dresses and leggings because I am fat anyway, so hopefully I'll get away with it again. However if I don't I will try eBay. Does anyone keep seeing BABIES everywhere? And baby paraphernalia in all the shops. I don't usually notice but i feel like a flaming magnet

Chloe55 · 02/04/2012 09:42

My husband kept seeing 3 magpies the day before I tested! I put my maternity clothes in the loft a couple of months ago when I presumed it was just never gonna happen again!

ScrambledSmegs · 02/04/2012 09:58

Hello everyone. May I join? I got my BFP on Saturday, which was a massive shock as I was only testing to be sure I was ok to binge-drink at a party! Luckily DH and I were very crafty, and I was on the mocktails all night Wink

Due date given as 9th Dec, although judging by how late DD was the poor sod will probably be a Christmas Day baby.

Terrified things will go wrong of course (have had an early mc in the past) but trying to think positive, hence posting here!

AceOfBase · 02/04/2012 10:12

Congratulations scrambled my dd is Dec 23rd and its a pain in the proverbial. People tend not to want to go to her party as its too close to Xmas. I have the opposite problem though. My two were both early so i expect this one around mid to late Oct. I had obstetric cholestasis both times from 25 wks so i am dreading it all happening again. I spent far too much time in hospital for both and of course scbu is extremely hard. I was having bloods 3 times a week and scans once a week after diagnosis. Cba with all that again :(

Chloe55 · 02/04/2012 11:09

My consultant is booking me in for an early scan at 7 weeks which will be 3rd week in April due to previous miscarriages and this baby being conceived through clomid. Am excited but nervous as last time I went for pregnancy scans I was told I'd lost the baby 3 weeks previously Sad I so hope this one sticks. Congrats to all the new bfps!

lauraloo09 · 02/04/2012 11:42

morning everyone - well i had the worst night's sleep ever and just feel generally rotten and feel like my eye sight is getting worse too. Really wish i took today off of work, thank goodness i only work part time and finish up on wed and due to easter hols etc im not back till 16th april so just need to get to wed then i can chill.

chloe when I was pg last time with DD I had an early scan as she was conceived using clomid, as is this bean, so I was going to see if they would do another one for me this time round...not sure if they will.

lauraloo09 · 02/04/2012 11:43

oh meant to say welcome to ace and scrambled nice to see so many Dec due dates.

I told my in laws the other night and they didnt look too happy with the thought of a dec baby...not sure why x

Chloe55 · 02/04/2012 13:04

They didn't look happy?! Angry it's not like we have much choice in these matters, particularly when you are willing to take whatever you get blessed with. Yes, Decembers not an ideal month in a perfect world but hey there's no way I will moan about it and I think I would have to give someone a piece if my mind if they said otherwise to me! Wow, maybe my Angry hormones have kicked in already Grin

lauraloo09 · 02/04/2012 13:08

oh I mentioned to DH i wasnt happy with in laws reaction to a december baby so he has told them exactly everything we have gone through over the past 18 months to get this baby so they better apologise lol (willing to accept an apology gift of chocolate or something similar lol)
Doc just called to confirm the pregnancy i knew i was obviously but just better to hear it from GP. I wont get to meet midwife until 20th April due to surgery being closed this friday and the following week its fully booked :( was hoping to see them sooner but suppose wont have long to wait between meeting them and my 12 week scan or earlier scan if they give me one again xx

TeaJunky · 02/04/2012 13:33

Thanks for the welcome guys Smile

Redbull..Grin I'll be cutting down but not switching Blush

Feeling so hungry and it's not been a month yet. Is that normal?!
