Early poas-er seeks other December 2012 due dates

I've just had the official confirmation from my digital clearblue test after many a faint line. I have calculated my due date as 5th December and conception started with a curry, how much information am I supposed to share? Boobs aren't sore yet, just a bit bigger. Have had a horrific cold/flu/sore throat for a week and I am very very irrational.

Anyone else out there?

Hello, can I join please? I got my BFP on Sunday and my EDD is 7th December. This will be my 3rd DC, and was completely unplanned so I'm in a bit of shock. Much like Rain DH and I have been using condoms extremely carefully, and we only dtd once this month on day 7 Confused

I knew I was pregnant just over a week ago because I got the tell-tale shooting pains I've only ever had just before a BFP.

We live in Sydney at the moment, so I feel a bit clueless navigating antenatal care outside of the NHS! Oh, my other DCs are 6 and almost 4, I think that's everything!

Good luck everyone!

lauraloo09 · 28/03/2012 09:25

Hiya can I join please? I got a BFP this morning on a Superdrug Test, this will be DC2 and my due date around 8th Dec. DH and I have been trying for over a year (took us 2.5 years to have DD) and I have been on clomid for 6 months, this was the first month they double my dose to 100mg and it seems to have worked. I'm handing in a sample this morning to docs for them to confirm pregnancy and now getting nervous lol just hoping this wasnt a false positive. This is a much longed for baby so fingers crossed lol im looking forward to sharing this journey with all of you xx :D

Congratulations lauraloo! Only 1 day between us!

issimma I'm on an eating mission now too. Nothing seems to satisfy the hunger pangs. I've decided not to feel too guilty, in a week or two I will feel too sick to eat!

lauraloo09 · 28/03/2012 11:26

Thanks seymore im not feeling the urge to eat lots tried to eat cereal this morning and couldnt stand the thought of eating so far had 2 cups of tea and a bag of ready salted French fries lol xx

Cautiously excited to be joining this thread... :) Yey!!! EDD 2 December so am only about 4.5 weeks. I have NO symptoms except occassional nausea (likely to all be in my head though) and slightly tender nipples (and boobs might be feeling a bit fuller at night, but normal by morning!)

When do you think is the best time to visit GP? issima - was your GP happy to see you this early? It still seems so soon and don't want to go along and for them just to say come back when your 8 weeks.

Like you Kaldisa, I've been here before and its not worked out, although never had such a dark pregnancy test in previous chemical pregnancies. This one is nearly as dark as the control.

Congratulations to you all on the BFPs - its still early days, but better than a BFN... :o

There really should be a zen emoticon!

DKNY - like you my positive this time was darker (and a lot earlier) than the early losses so that is reassuring. I feel generally a bit different too - no spotting, some shooting pains but no cramps of a pre-period sort, I don't know, perhaps it's just wishful thinking but my instinct is different this time. My luteal phase is long though (about 16 days) so my period is still not even officially late.

pleasebe - thanks, this will be my first child if it works out. I'm 31.

I haven't seen my GP yet but plan to in the next week or so - I actually saw her only a couple of weeks ago when she sent me for some tests because of the two early losses in a row. I'm really confused about hospital/midwife options where I live but hoping the GP will shed some light!

PrimalChic · 28/03/2012 16:01

Hello ladies! Congratulations to more BFPs joining us!

I've had a look at where I would go to give birth, yes I know, it's a little early to be doing that! They have community midwives where I am so hoping the docs will be able to sort out appointments and explain what that means when I see them next week.

Still no notable symptoms other than the twinges. I do seem to have an aversion to sugar though. Not interested in cakes doing th rounds in the office nor the chocolate that has been in my handbag since Thursday!

PrimalChic · 28/03/2012 16:20

Ps I didn't actually go there, I went to the website, not the actual hospital!

StrawberrytallCAKE · 28/03/2012 18:14

Oh my goodness I tested again today just to be on the safe side! The digital predictor said 2-3 weeks and on Sunday it was 1-2 my dd said she wanted a brother and a sister...if the hormones are increasing that quickly it might be possible!

Congratulations to new BFPs!

I am booked in to see the GP today just because you need to get in quick here to get a place on the service that allocates a midwife that you see throughout. There's no harm in getting your referral into the hospital now though. I think it depends where you live and your age, but nuchal scans tend to be booked in quite early. I had DS's nuchal scan at 11 weeks, but I didn't see a midwife until I was 14 weeks!

I had 2 chemical pregnancies when we were TTC DS and I found the test line never got any darker, and certainly never darker than the control line. I've got my fingers tightly crossed for everyone.

So far I have only told Mum and my sister. DH wants to wait a few days to tell his parents and that will probably be everyone we tell until after the first scan. I'm quite nervous because I've been doing everything wrong, I wasn't taking folic acid, was drinking, taking medication etc.

StrawberrytallCAKE · 28/03/2012 20:54

We have told parents and my sister. I'm going for dinner with some of my girlfriends on Saturday night so not sure I'm going to be able to keep it in.

I'm having really bad cramps this evening actually. Bit worried about it, hope I'm not losing this one as well. Is anyone else having cramps?

We've not told anyone because of the previous early losses though my parents are visiting this weekend and I suspect my mother will guess because it's pretty obvious that I'm not very well.

lauraloo09 · 28/03/2012 21:35

Hiya everyone been feeling yucky all night one min feeling sick next wanting to eat everything in sight :(

kalidasa I've had cramping on and off today as if af is about to show fingers crossed for you and here's to a lovely pregnancy x

We haven't told anyone yet waiting for official word from GP tomorrow :)

DKNY123 · 29/03/2012 07:19

Thanks for bringing this up Kaldisa. I've been cramping too - like I'm about to get my period. It makes me worry too - how come no-one tells you this is a symptom until you end up talking to people you don't know on Mumsnet??? Seems to be so common (I searched old threads too). I get cramps for about 2-10 seconds about 10 - 20 times a day, really low down in my uterus (or somewhere like that - might think about learning the geography of the belly!). Haven't had one yet this morning, but they do make me worry. Anyone know if it really is our uterus expanding?

lauraloo09 · 29/03/2012 07:46

Morning ladies
DNKY they say the cramping is caused by the changes are bodies are going tho so could be uterus expanding.

Been p most of the night feeling sick and having the 'runs' sorry for tmi this is yet another symptom I had when pg with DD wasn't nice :(

Quills · 29/03/2012 08:28

Hello ladies, can I join in?

Due Dec 1st with baby number 2, been trying for 2 1/2 years, so it's still not quite sunk in yet! Lots of stretchy cramps, morning sickness, and I can barely make it to 8pm without falling asleep, so I guess something is happening in there...

DD, Rachel, is also a December baby - she'll be 4 on the 4th, so fingers crossed she won't end up having to share her birthday! Mine is the end of November as well, so it's a busy time of year for our family.

Looking forward to getting to know you all :)

Congratulations Quills! We're the same, DD's birthday is mid December and this baby is due on 7th, I'm hoping they don't end up sharing. My birthday is the 30th December which is complete poo, no one ever wants to go out the day before NYE. Before Christmas is the way to go!

I saw the GP today and it is a bit different here. She sent off bloods to check HCG levels, I'll get the results tomorrow. They routinely do an early scan at 7 weeks too, but I will miss that because I'll be in the UK next month.

I think lots of cramping and aches is normal at this stage, I had it in my last pregnancies but not so much in this one yet, it's making me worry. There's always something to stress about!

kalidasa · 29/03/2012 10:06

Hello all. I just found a reassuring line in one of the pregnancy books (that I've already bought but am concealing at work so my dp doesn't know!) that says early cramps etc are usually more marked for the first pregnancy when your body is doing it for the first time.

I also did another test yesterday evening and it was quite a lot darker than the one I did on Monday afternoon (which was already more convincing than the ones I had in Jan and Feb). So that's quite reassuring. I'm only 14dpo today, which I suppose is the down-side of getting a bfp quite early on.

Mostly I feel as I have each time from very early (a few days dpo) - sick, exhausted, dizzy, hungry and hot. But this time the cramps are different, I had a migraine on Tuesday (unusual for me now though I used to have a lot when I was younger) and also cystitis (what fun). So I suppose something is going on in there . . .

Hope everyone else is doing OK.

RainWalker · 29/03/2012 10:34

Wishing you all the best ladies Smile

Did the test yesterday, and am not pregnant! Mixed feelings really, I'm not ready for any more at the moment, but the brief scare has warmed me to the idea again Grin

But for now I'm booking in for a mirena next week.

Lots of luck and best wishes to you all Wink

M0naLisa · 29/03/2012 10:37

Can i join you ladies :D

I got my BFP yesterday and according to online calculators and my LMP my due date is 4th December.

This will be our 3rd baby but my 5th pregnancy.

We have two boys and decided in September to try for No: 3 this september but deciced to start in December, then at the beginning of this month we decided to wait until finances were abit better and we had more space, then yesterday i 'knew' i was pregnant, tight feeling in my stomach so i tested and it was positive.

We've told my sister, my mum, my mate and DHs best mate.

Being feeling a little sick and i have to eat everything in site and also i have been craving cherry tomatoes - i HATE tomatoes. I cant get enough of them lately.

Tried ringing drs today but fully booked so will try again tomorrow to confirm it and get booked on with midwives. I want to give birth at Doncaster Womens Hospital in Doncaster Royal Infirmary so i know i wont actually see a proper midwife in my area until around 17 weeks which is daft. All my appointments will go to Doncaster. I dont fancy going to Scunthorpe - too many bad reports about that place. lol.

I too have a cough and cold, have done for last week, Asthma is havoc at the moment and my back is killing from coughing so much - at least i hope its because of bad posture and coughing at same time and not the first signs of back ache and SPD that i get, although this is middle of my back pain.

Congratulations to all ladies on your BFPs
