Early poas-er seeks other December 2012 due dates

I've just had the official confirmation from my digital clearblue test after many a faint line. I have calculated my due date as 5th December and conception started with a curry, how much information am I supposed to share? Boobs aren't sore yet, just a bit bigger. Have had a horrific cold/flu/sore throat for a week and I am very very irrational.

Anyone else out there?

i have noticed myself being quite short recently esp with DD which i feel awful for. far far too early for cravings but im really wanting some Cheesy Pasta and yesterday i just had to have a chippy (albeit thats all i had yesterday) will need to go stock up on cheesy pasta lol

during my last pregnancy from around 16weeks all i craved was ice lol had to sit and crunch ice all day long lol

Anyone else dying to tell everyone in the family? so far I have told my mum, DH's parents and my BIL. havent told my bros or dad yet as they are blabber mouths lol xx

YikesHereWeGo · 30/03/2012 15:39

lauraloo - yes, totally want to spill the beans to all my family (and pretty much anyone I bump into) but have been v good and only told boyf and sis so far.
Dilemma of the mo: is it really forbidden to diet when preggo? It's just I'm getting married in 2 months and have got quite a figure hugging frock to fit into. Oops!! I wonder if I should be looking into Plan B outfits. My sis showed me a book yesterday with a picture of a lady's bump at 1, 2, 3 months and I was quite surprised how big a change there was already at month 3!! Hmmm.
But maybe I'm getting ahead of myself as it's such early days...?

pleasebethismonth · 30/03/2012 15:44

Yes I am so arsy!! Thought I was keeping myself in check though until this morning dh asked if I was still a grump! ha

I so can't wait to get to 12 weeks and relax a little. Oh and tell THE WORLD!!!!

Hello everyone. Congratulations to all new bfps. I am hot and sick and a bit fed up but work has eased off for me now so I can work at home some of the time which is a big relief. (I am a lecturer and term has just finished.) My temperature was 99.1 first thing this morning though. Is it normal to be so high?

My parents are coming this weekend and I'm not sure I'm going to be able to hold off telling them, especially as I don't see them in person very often. Better discuss this with dp tonight. I'm sure my mother will be delighted but not 100% sure about my Dad!

lauraloo09 · 30/03/2012 20:13

just wondering if anyone else is suffering bad headaches? my head has been throbbing since yesterday :(

YikesHereWeGo · 30/03/2012 21:34

Issimma - thanks for the tip re dresses - they look lovely!
Lauraloo - yup, I've been getting headaches all week and never normally do, but I've got a bit of a cold this week too and just put it down to that. Not sure though. I think it's ok to take paracetamol in moderation...?

PrimalChic · 31/03/2012 09:20

Snappy with headaches here too! It's not as if I feel more irritable, it just seems like I'm less likely to stay quiet about the things that have always irritated me. I like it!

StrawberrytallCAKE · 31/03/2012 12:08

My head is killing me!!!! I'm in bed and dh has taken dd out for the day so I can get some sleep as I'm going for a meal with friends tonight, I have no idea how I'm going to get through it! I'm also not sure how I'll keep my mouth shut!

A few more weeks and we'll all be back to normal (plus bumps)....

No headaches, and no rage, but I am starting to get the ridiculous tearfulness. Not complaining though, I actually enjoy a good blubber when I know I've not actually got anything to be sad about. Think I might have had morning sickness this morning - but then it might just have been exhaustion at having to get up through the night to settle DS who was being disturbed by next door's DS (who's 20) having a very loud all night party. Still plotting revenge . . . all ideas welcome. I'm thinking knocking loudly on the door tomorrow at 6.30am might be a start.

I was wondering, any second timers here, are there any rules which you're going to blatantly break this time round? I just licked the bowl from making DS's birthday cake, and when it occurred to me it had raw eggs in it, I just didn't care. I'm also going to be eating brie this time round. sod it.

Oh wow.....A December thread already!!
This feels like me 2 mins ago and not 2 months ago Grin

Congrats and safe and happy pregnancies to you all Thanks

soandsosmum · 31/03/2012 20:05

Hi

I'm not sure if I'm a Dec or Nov date so is it ok for me to perch?

I'm 37, DC2, DD1 is only 10ms but we waited 3 yrs for her so I'm happy to have caught so soon.

I was pretty relaxed last time as the 'rules' are similar for ttc and I chose not to become t total. I'm having one small glass of wine each day at the weekend and eating the odd runny egg (I ate cake mixture today too!), occasional blue cheese and stuff but not lots.

I'm still bf dd1 so boobs smaller if anything and not sore. I am knackered in the evenings. And by that I mean from 4pm Haha. Some days I've managed to nap when DD does at 2pm which has helped with the tiredness but not getting stuff done!

Anyone else bf?

BigRedIndiaRubberBall · 31/03/2012 20:07

issimma - yep, same here on the no symptoms front, but I'm not too worried. Miscarriage risk plummets following a successful pregnancy. A friend paid about £40 I think for a private early scan which if I were worried would be very worth the money though.

Also on the takeaway tonight - Thai, as last time I couldn't even face the idea until months after DS was born Grin.

BigRedIndiaRubberBall · 31/03/2012 20:13

soandso welcome! My self calculated due date is 29 Nov, so also perching :) And also bf - not much any more though, just one night and first thing (as I'm too lazy to get up immediately Wink). Is that true about no sore nipples if bfing then? I was planning on stopping soon to give lots of clear water between that and DC2 arriving, but may wait a little longer in that case ...

Are you still on maternity leave, or are you a SAHM? Just went back to work three weeks ago, don't think they'll be happy when I tell them Grin.

Congratulations and welcome to the new BFPs!

Thanks GizzyBoo Grin

My symptoms are steadily increasing, my boobs really hurt now and I feel quite sick. I'm having trouble sleeping too.

I wonder when we will all "pop"?! In my 2nd pregnancy I was getting offered seats on the train at 8 weeks!

lauraloo09 · 01/04/2012 09:14

morning ladies

well it has taken me 4 nights but finally i got a decent sleep but have woken to nausea and slight cramps and low and behold yet another headache. My boobs have started to get a bit on the sore side but nothing major just yet.

issimma BF didnt work for me either with DD had quite a traumatic labour and i did try for few days when i was in hospital but i had midwifes shouting at me in front of family for requesting a bottle and had blisters due to a bad latch so i couldnt handle BF..thinking of giving it another try this time round.

seymore i was wondering when we will start showing (TBH cant wait) this is my second so hoping it will be sooner rather than later didnt start showing till around 17 weeks last time.

Quills · 01/04/2012 11:26

Morning all!

Another second timer here, hoping to BF this time around - DD couldn't get a latch, but I'm hoping this time we'll have more luck.

Seymore, I have to confess to digging out my maternity clothes already! 5+1 today, but my jeans are all too tight and my (.)(.) have gone up 2 cups already, so I've had to give in and return to the stretchy waistbands and long tops. No idea how I'm going to keep this quiet until the 12 weeks are up!

SeymoreButts · 01/04/2012 11:34

Ha! I think I'll be digging mine out soon too, my tummy is definitely expanding but I think it's just a food baby at this point!

I've just watched an episode of one born every minute, why do I do it to myself???

YikesHereWeGo · 01/04/2012 12:11

Seymore - I've never watched OBEM as I'm hoping to get through this pregnancy in relatively blissful ignorance of what's in store (- doesn't the stork deliver babies?!) But what do you think? Is it worth watching?
Managed to get a relatively decent night's sleep last night so feeling almost human today. My cold seems to be on its way out too - hurrah.
Rang the the docs on Friday to let them know the happy news and they said I didn't need to see a doc, just a midwife. Feels funny booking in to see a midwife when the little one is only the size of a "pin head" !! But quite cool nonetheless.
Boyf seems to be getting his head round the baby thing at last - thankfully as this was a planned pregnancy after all!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone :)

KMBatfink · 01/04/2012 12:45

Hi. Can I join you guys? Got my BFP on Mon and due date calculators online all say due 30 Nov but I have a feeling that is too early so more likely to be Dec. Got my first doctor's appt on Tues to get on the system. Not a lot of symptoms, just massive boobs and tired. x
