I've just had the official confirmation from my digital clearblue test after many a faint line. I have calculated my due date as 5th December and conception started with a curry, how much information am I supposed to share? Boobs aren't sore yet, just a bit bigger. Have had a horrific cold/flu/sore throat for a week and I am very very irrational.

Anyone else out there?

I think December is a lovely time to have a baby. A perfect Christmas present. Both my cousin and sister in law had baby girls on Christmas eve last year, it was lovely!

Boobs are bursting out of my shirt today. When did they grow?! I wore this shirt on Wednesday and it was fine! Must've shrunk in the was, surely?!

I think I might have to tell my boss soon Confused dreading that!

lauraloo09 · 02/04/2012 14:18

primal i feel the same but just generally uncomfortable in the bra im in (usually very large chested anyways) but my trousers seem a bit tighter and the fact the i have lost 2 stone in weight since january think people will be noticing the slight weight gain i have had pretty soon trying to hold off telling work though at least this time round i am a permanent employee last time i was temporary and this caused nothing but worry re my job and if i had one to go back to.

is it bad of me to already be thinking of how i will feel when i stop work...really cannot wait lol :)

Quills · 02/04/2012 16:49

My lovely DD is a December baby, and I love it - it makes December such a fantastic time of year for us, so magical. We're chuffed to be expecting another December bundle, so don't let anyone make you feel down or worry about it!

TeaJunky, whenever I'm not feeling sick I'm ravenous! I ate so much in the couple of days before my BFP, all I did that week was eat and sleep :o

Calamityboo · 02/04/2012 16:58

Hi, I am marking a place on this thread, so far I have po3s and got bfn, but I am a week late, boobs killing me I massaged them last night to sooth them and a bit of liquid came out, also feel like crap all day. It took 2 weeks to get a bfp with ds2 so am still holding on with hope.

cashmere · 02/04/2012 17:33

Hi I've been feeling shattered all weekend and have just done a test. Strong positive straight away (afternoon pee) at 12dpo. Think I'm due on 11th Dec but might be a little sooner (think I usually ovulate on day 18 bit this was my first cycle since stopping breastfeeding and I didn't temp so not sure)

pleasebethismonth · 02/04/2012 18:04

pleasebethismonth · 02/04/2012 19:25

sorry calamity- look forward to you waving your line!!

Going to make a doctors app tomorrow, was holding out til 6 weeks, which will be Thursday but decided I will just go for it. Hoping to get an early scan due to previous mc but will have to wait and see.

cashmere · 02/04/2012 19:44

I need to register with a Dr first- this will make me get on with it! There's 3 surgeries on a really small stretch of road though- which to choose!

Prunella79 · 02/04/2012 20:32

Hello, room for another?
BFP 3 days ago and been reeling in surprise since, due (i think) 2nd Dec, GP booked for wednesday - i was meant to go along to get the result of blood tests - they were checking for fertility problems so this'll be an unexpected change of discussion Smile

Chloe55 · 02/04/2012 21:00

Welcome prunella Smile Laura I am only temping-I pray they keep me on til I need to go on maternity in order to def get statutory maternity allowance, will just have to look for work after that-I am covering maternity and she could officially come back in September Sad

I have been getting lots of cramping-almost continuous throughout the day but not painful, has anyone else been experiencing this? I am now really worried coz my bfps were only faint (on cheapies) so have forked out for a digital clearblue to do tomorrow-am panicking it will be negative, I wish I could stop worrying

Stasi · 02/04/2012 22:56

Hi everyone. Can I join too? Got a bfp this morning, and though clear (photo in my profile) it wasn't super strong. I'm only 11dpo, but have been trying for 18months and this is my first sign of any sort of bfp. Due date should be around 12/12/12... I'm so far over the moon, but terrified af will show up tomorrow and this was all just a chemical. Fingers crossed though! :)

kalidasa · 03/04/2012 06:00

Stasi - I've been using those 'one-step' internet ones as well. They are very sensitive. I also had a clear but quite faint bfp on 11 dpo. As I've got loads of those tests I've repeated them every 2-3 days and they've got steadily stronger. I'm 18 dpo now and the test I did this morning came up immediately and is very nearly as dark as the control line. I had two chemical pregnancies in January and February and with those the bfp was a) fainter, b) came up more slowly, c) appeared later in my cycle (day 17 and day 15) and d) didn't get darker.

Obviously it's not an exact science but try waiting two or three days and see if it's got a bit darker.

Chloe - yes, I have very regular on-off low cramping too. It's odd because it is very like the cramps I get pre-period but somehow not quite the same. The only way I can describe it is that it's a bit more like pinching or pulling than those cramps usually are.

Congratulations prunella. I saw the GP today. Quite funny as I went three weeks ago about the two early losses in a row, and they did some blood tests just to check things out. And then I went today to explain that I was pregnant yet again . . . for the third cycle in a row. I feel better about this one though, so fingers crossed.

Stacks · 03/04/2012 07:06

Thanks kali. I'm being reassured by symptoms, constant kind of nausea/heartburn and insomnia. I'm going to POanotherS tomorrow and see if the line is still there, and darker. Taken me such a long time to get here I'm worried it's too good to be true.

pleasebethismonth · 03/04/2012 07:17

morning everyone and welcome

had a rough night last night, I knew tucking into that gigantic curry wasn't the best idea! No chance of a lay in as dd up and dh away boo! I'm now holding out for that afternoon nap but no guarantee as dd starting to not need them! ahhhh!

I've run out of tests, probably just aswell as i would be doing them all the time, but still need something to say this is real!

How is everyone else feeling today?

YikesHereWeGo · 03/04/2012 07:56

Morning! Feeling sooooo tired this morning. Was awake half the night coughing so could really have done with a day off work but hey ho. Did another test first thing this morning - a clearblue digital one - and it said 2-3 weeks post conception (I.e. 4-5 weeks preggo) when I know I must be at least 5 weeks preggo if not 6. I had wanted to be a bit more sure of my dates but this has just made it more confusing! Does anyone know how accurate the date function is on these things?

kalidasa · 03/04/2012 08:14

Yikes I assume the date function is worked out by assessing your concentration of HCG against average levels. But I don't think it can be very reliable because I've seen a table with the normal "range" of HCG in the early stages and it's really a huge range, with big overlaps (e.g. top of the normal range for week 4 overlaps with the bottom of the normal range several weeks later). I think the rate of change is more important than the specific level, which is why doctors test twice a few days apart.

YikesHereWeGo · 03/04/2012 08:44

Kali - Oh right, yes, that makes sense. Thanks!!

Prunella79 · 03/04/2012 08:51

congratulations all round, it's great to find everyone has the same niggles and doubts and worries; i have a growing stack of internet cheapies from testing eod. happily the lines are growing darker. i wonder how long i'll keep it up as i thought i'd be ttc for the longhaul and invested in 50.
also Hmm at every AF style cramp and at the pains brought about immediately after last night's hot curry

ScrambledSmegs · 03/04/2012 08:58

Morning! Thanks for the welcome. There's so many of us, how on earth do you all keep up?!

BigRedIndiaRubberBall · 03/04/2012 10:15

Urgh - well if anyone's worried about lack of symptoms may I recommend living next door to a teen whose parents have gone on holiday - fourth all-night party in a row last night and I'm knackered and feeling sick. Ah well.

Hope everyone else is feeling as sick as they want to, and no more Wink

TeaJunky · 03/04/2012 10:38

Quills- good to know I'm not eating aloneGrin

I think it must have been a bad night for all. DD (3) had a high temperature and came to our bed, resulting in a sleepless night for all!

We did get to sleep in till half nine though so def cant complain!
Going to see my friend today who miscarried at five months Sad...I havnt told her about me yet, although she knew we were ttc. She's a very good friend and will be do happy for us but I cant see how it won't make her feel a little more Sad Sad

Brenau · 03/04/2012 10:51

Big fat positive this morning. This was our second month of actually trying and though we both really want this I am now officially terrified. This will be our first.

Feeling a little shell shocked...
