Good Luck Essex, will be thinking of you and hope you have good news tomorrow x

Cacacaz · 24/03/2012 21:40

Chickenspots we are all here for you, wishing you a sticky bean very soon. Be kind to yourself.

Essex thinking of you too I hope you get some positive news at the hospital.

YellowWellies · 24/03/2012 21:55

Oh gosh it's a roller-coaster this baby malarky isn't it. Lots of love to everyone tonight - it sounds like it's been an eventful few days. Essex, Chickenspots and anyone worrying or feeling ick, thinking of you x

FoofFighter · 24/03/2012 22:07

EssexWelsh · 24/03/2012 22:56

We are still pregnant! Amazing service at hospital, had internal examination showed cervix still closed and bleeding had eased so fingers crossed, dr said if this is the start then it would happen in next day or so but she said all signs are in my favour, got early scan booked for April 11th, roller coaster doesn't even begin and it's only been 3 hours of stressing!! Good luck all, having not told anyone really helps to ask you all xx

YellowWellies · 24/03/2012 23:15

That's fab news chick. Absolutely fantastic. Right that's made my evening, I'm off to bed. Night all! Though have eaten so much treacle tart (baby wanted, ahem) that sleeping on my bloated tum I'll be like a weeble tonight!

blonderthanred · 24/03/2012 23:39

So sad to hear about chickenspots but delighted for Essex.

Keeping my fingers xed for everyone else.

TheDetective · 24/03/2012 23:46

So sorry Chickenspots. We started TTC in December, and BOTH January and February I got what I thought were 'false' positives. In retrospect they were probably chemical pregnancies. I think we had conceived but implantation didn't occur. I got pregnant straight away on the third month, and this has been successful so far.

keep the faith :) Much love, and thinking of you.

TheDetective · 24/03/2012 23:53

If anyone is in need of a giggle - my 4 month old kitten just sidled up to me on the sofa - soaking wet through.

The silly sausage has clearly fell in the bath! What is wrong with this cat! She is insane! She has no fear! DP said he thought he heard the dog chasing the cat upstairs - what he heard must have been the dog trying to either get the cat out, or get in on the action! The pair of them are naughty buggers! The dog had bubbles on her whiskers!

DP has now gone and got in the bath he ran for himself, while the cat cleans herself meticulously next to me!

I've got our lovely new bed up, got a lovely mattress for it, and all new bedding. It is THE most comfiest bed I have ever been in! Worth every penny Grin plus it is an Ikea king sized, so its biiiiiiiiiig! I'll finally get a proper nights sleep! And it will be perfect for when the baby comes along too! Yay!

I've had a bit of a poorly sick day today, felt worse than I have done previously, but I realised it was because I had forgotten to take my tablets at the right times. Back on track now.

Ladies - those of you really suffering with the sickness - please don't put up with it. Go to your GP. You don't have to suffer.

Iheartpasties · 25/03/2012 02:27

A real rollercoatser day today, I am so glad that the lovely doctor put your mind to rest Essex what a scare though, and I am glad you got some support from the lovelies on this thread :)

I live near Sydney in Australia but I come from Cornwall, so I'm excited to hear about someone upthread who is moving to Cornwall! I hope you're moving to a nice part - well it's all nice anyway so thats good :) I am very jealous that you will be eating loads of pasties though. I will be in Cornwall for a month visiting family and I will eat as many as I can!! I miss them sooo much over here. The flght should be fun with 1yo dd. I'm sure we'll be fine, my wonderful mum is driving to heathrow to pick us up and drive us back to Cornwall. OOOOw soooo excited!!! When we get back here I'll be 12 weeks (fingers crossssssssssssed).

DH is going to make panini's for lunch, I cannot wait. I used to be a choc o holic and eat loads of sweeties but i feel like I'm craving savoury mire now and I just cant get used to it! Snacking on cheese instead of choc feels wierd!!

With my first pregnancy we didn't discuss names until the third trimester, and we didn't buy anything big until late on in the second trimester. But this time around I feel like I have started to think of names already and I think I know what i'd like to buy. This time though I'd like to spread the cost around a bit more.

I do not want to find out the sex at the scan (a long way off yet) but it's hard to resist! It was such a wonderful surprise with dd. I got to lift her little leg up and have a look myself! Such a magic moment.

hugs all around to everyone.

Hoebag · 25/03/2012 08:28

I'm a bit confused.!!!

I got my BFP on 10th march on the day AF was due, 1-2 weeks

took another test last night 2-3 weeks Confused

I expected to be a bit further along than that Confused

Fatigue /nausea has arrived. feel shaky and tired been sofa bound I took 2 paracetamol yesterday as I had to function at some point. Grin

DesperateHousewife21 · 25/03/2012 08:30

Oh essex what an ordeal for you last night. Really glad everything is ok and you're getting an early scan.

Hoebag · 25/03/2012 08:35

Just read further up essex oh thank god everything is ok :) that must have been scary.

Thechick · 25/03/2012 08:47

Hoebag it could be right if it's talking about weeks past ovulation. It sounds like it could be a week out, did you use fmu? I'm 5+5 days but the equivalent on your digital test would be 3-4 weeks. Don't worry, I'm sure it will all be fine.

WestWingCJ · 25/03/2012 08:48

Glad all ok essex

hoebag if you take the test at night, your hcg levels are a bit lower and it does say that to get an accurate date from those tests that you should do them in the morning. So you are probably where you thought you were date wise.

Stuntnun · 25/03/2012 09:03

Essex fingers crossed for you that it's all smooth going from now on. My friend's wife bled through her whole pregnancy and was back and forth to the hospital a lot. It was a stress and a hassle but their baby was fine.

Chickenspots so sorry for you, it's awful when you're sure you're pregnant and it's not meant to be. Keep trying and the next one will be sticky.

So glad to hear I don't have to have a smear test!

Chunkychicken · 25/03/2012 09:30

Essex glad things are looking up. Stay well & fingers crossed for your scan.

Hoebag do you know when you ovulated, as the tests talk about time from ov, but your dates are taken from your LMP? I am 5+6wks but tested on the same day as you, a day or 2 early, & got a 3+ wks thing on the digi on Fri in through morning. I know I ovulated on or in the 24hrs from cd15, so 4wks tomorrow iyswim. Your hCG levels fluctuate a lot during early pg & those tests are not 100% accurate for dating. I wouldn't worry too much.

Had a terrible dream about the baby last night. Was not good :(

We didn't buy anything first time round until I was 7mths gone. Partly because it didn't feel right, partly because we waited to go to the baby show & see loads of stuff in one place. I don't really want to do anything until later on again this time, again partly because it seems sensible to wait & partly because we're moving house (hopefully) & it'll be easier to decorate etc during the summer hols, so late 2nd trimester.

Have thought about names as we have pretty much be considering names that would work with our DD's name & our surname since she was born!! Don't want to be shouting 'axle & diesel' or whatever across the park & sounding like a muppet... Won't find out the sex though, again because we didn't with DD & liked the surprise.

Anyway, hoping my sickness stays as a 'feeling' rather than a 'doing' today (hungry & thirsty now but feeling sooo sick I don't know what to eat :( ) and wishing you all pleasant & uneventful Sundays.

Thechick · 25/03/2012 09:40

Just read through the thread, my goodness Essex really glad it's all turned out okay.

CandyPop · 25/03/2012 09:58

Sorry chickenspots to gear of your news. Hope u are ok and wish u a sporty recovery and a sticky bean soon .

essex good to hear everything turned out well. U must be relieved that the scan shows that everything is ok! Hope that eases your mind and now I can relax !

iheartpasties after reading ur MSG I now really fancy a Cornish pasty!!! Where am I suppose to get one at 10am on a Sunday morning ?!?!

I wish we had our own dildocam.... That way I can scan myself everyday..... I just wish to know how bean is doing and make sure he is growing. When I had my scan at 5+1, dr couldn't see a yolk yet and reckon from the size, I was only 2 weeks gone but I thought if I was 5+1 then shouldn't I be 3 weeks?! :(. It's my first cycle so haven't even started to track my ovulation so I could Havel updated later in cycle?! Can that be a reason???!! Hmm I must stop google stuff and scaring myself.

Does of u that had an early scan, did they see a yolk ??!!

funthatisfunny · 25/03/2012 09:58

Yay essex that is great news! fingers crossed for next couple of days but if your cervix is closed then that does sound good!

Iheartpasties yupup my DH is from truro so we are heading back that way after many years away; now we have DS and another on the way we would love to be closer to family and friends (i.e I want to be able to go out to the pub/to the cinema once in a while!). My cornish SIL is due any day too so would be great for cousins to love together - I was a forces brat so never had that stability and have always envied the closeness of DH's family and friends. Work might be a problem though and we might feel a bit 'stuck', it being out on a limb somewhat, so will rent for a few months and see how it fits us! Whereabouts are you from?

I blubbed at BGT last night. Jeeez, I only ever do that when I am pregnant. Glad i was alone!

detective bless your kitten! want one! :)

Iheartpasties · 25/03/2012 10:06

funthatisfunny I'm from a village near Redruth, but I wanted to live in or near Truro as its a pretty nice city (it's called a city because of the cathedral buts really only a town).

Hoebag · 25/03/2012 10:43

Thanks for the advice I ovulated about the 22nd feb.

hopefully like you said its all alright.

jaylee89 · 25/03/2012 10:48

woooooo thats great new essex.

well im off to work on this lovely day...........WHAT A JOKE!!!!

Little9 · 25/03/2012 11:13

Glad all is ok essex. Sorry to chickenspots. Look after yourself and hope u get a sticky one soon.

I've only been up for three hours, and I'm knackered already. Done nothing but sit on my arse, blubbing at watching how to train a dragon! Boobs are still stupidly sore, and even more so from going to the gym yesterday. Bugger!

I'm in Lincolnshire, but originally come from Northamptonshire. Moved here as hubby is a yellowbelly!

I suppose I ought to get dressed and do the biggest pile of ironing in the world. DH was away for work this week and goes away again tomorrow for three days, so I can't eaxactly leave it.

Have a good day all. Today I am pregnant and I am enjoying it!! And the sun is shining, woohoo!! :o

applepieinthesky · 25/03/2012 11:24

So pleased for you essex Smile

I feel awful this morning. Have been sick for the first time as well. DP is at work and I'm at home with a naughty puppy who wants to play all the time but I don't feel like moving off the sofa Sad

Hope this subsides by tomorrow when I have to go to work.
