I suppose something milky will be a lot nicer in reverse, quite gentle, not like fruit acids?

wow 57 of us Shock and the month isn't over yet!

OP posts:
DesperateHousewife21 · 19/03/2012 17:32

I look frickin huge, I told my fellow peeps at the baby group today and one said you've got a little bump, thanks!!

It's all bloating and stuff, I don't think a gummi bear sized baby would make me look 4 months gone yet!

TheDetective · 19/03/2012 17:32

Off to hospital - wish me luck. See if I can get some effective treatment. Best change my top - comedy boobs may not be appreciated....

misslaughalot · 19/03/2012 17:49

Crikey, we're going to get through a LOT of threads over the next 8 months, there's so many of us and we talk so much!

Sorry to hear of your news booboo but you sound very positive, hope to see you on another thread soon x

Hope you get signed off soon Detective, let us know how you get on x

I have had the most amazing dizzy spells this afternoon, and waves of queasiness. Haven't actually thrown up, but kind of wish I would as it might make me feel better IYKWIM.

jaylee89 · 19/03/2012 17:51

thank you for adding me! :) [23] does mean my age right?? lol

im just being thick aren't i?

anyone else got horrid sickness? any cravings yet? my boobies seem to be inflated only on the inside of my breast (by the cleavage?iyswim

:)

blonderthanred · 19/03/2012 17:58

So sorry to Booboo and those suffering with sickness. I've been popping to the loo lots and haven't had any more pink so I am hoping against hope that the gummi bear is still in there growing ok.

jaylee89 · 19/03/2012 18:00

fingers crossed for you blonderthanred xxxxx

Cacacaz · 19/03/2012 18:03

Jaylee yes that does mean your age Smile

Detective I hope you get on better at hospital, and they are more sympathetic than the arse of a gp.

Can't believe the sonography was so insensitive Izzy, I hope your get some positive news.

I've just been food shopping, and the thought of most of my favourite foods made me feel nauseous. I ended up buying mainly junk food, including pot noodles Blush, I turned my nose up at chocolate too which really is bizarre as I am a chocoholic normally.

NervousAt20 · 19/03/2012 18:03

Good luck detective!!

PetiteRaleuse · 19/03/2012 18:05

Just marking my place - I am still waiting to see what happens. Scan booked for Monday (8w3d) if nothing happens by then. Have managed one week of the two weeks though. Still no pregnancy symptoms but as I said I didn't get any through the pregnancy I had which went to term either.... so I don't quite know what to think.

NervousAt20 · 19/03/2012 18:08

After reading previous posts decided to google the chinease birth chart and apparently it should be a girl,, if the NHS EED is accurate but hopefully have dates confirmed Wednesday!

Stuntnun · 19/03/2012 18:08

Cacacaz I can't take chocolate atm either. It doesn't make me feel nauseous or anything, I just don't fancy it. That seems really bizarre as chocolate is quite a normal breakfast item for me!

Detective I hope you get on better at the hospital. You seem to be having a pretty rough time but we're all thinking of you.

And can I just mention my boobs hurt. There I've got that off my chest (ho ho). I'm just trying to remember that sore boobs and puking are a good thing!

HelloBear · 19/03/2012 18:26

A new thread, wow!

Is anyone suffering from acid reflux? It's terrible, just as I go to bed. Really getting to me, start dreading it about now. Has anyone got any remedies?

The first trimester sucks, feel sick constantly, so tiered, cold, headache and acid reflux. It is ruining the excitement of being pregs:( Oh forgot to add I cry over ANYTHING, that poor footballer at the weekend had me in floods.

Sorry for the me, me, me post.

Hope everyone are doing well and it's great to read about the news.

WaitingForMe · 19/03/2012 18:27

I took nail clippers to two of my bras this morning and pulled out the underwiring Stuntnun. Much more comfortable Grin

Was slightly drastic though. I was a bit cross about it all Blush

DesperateHousewife21 · 19/03/2012 18:35

hellobear I get acid reflux every now and then it's horrible I've never suffered with it before. Dh gets it all the time.

WestWingCJ · 19/03/2012 18:36

Just tried the travel sickness wrist band thingys and whilst I imagine they would be beyond useless for full-on MS, I have to say I am feeling a bit better. Thank god. Even going to attempt to eat a curry tonight. That'll put them to the test! Gaviscon works a dream for me on the acid reflux thingy.

tomatoplantproject · 19/03/2012 19:02

Wow! New thread already? There must be a few more new joiners waiting in the wings??

Such sad news booboo. Hope you and your man are looking after each other.

All you ladies with ms that sounds so horrid.

I'm really grateful the vomming hasn't hit me yet. I'm in the sore boobs camp though - up to a dd from a c. Had to buy new bras at the weekend and all of my work clothes are getting very tight. I don't want to have to buy any more until need proper maternity stuff...

EssexWelsh · 19/03/2012 19:05

Just caught up on last 2 days, sorry to hear some sad news.

At only 4+6 no symptoms as yet but is anyone else already looking 'rounded' I'm 10 stone and always have carried a tyre around the middle but it has suddenly gone huge! I asked my DP if he'd noticed a difference and his reaction said it all, it's still all squishy but I just can't hold it in and I look 3 months gone!! Anyone else? X

EssexWelsh · 19/03/2012 19:07

Also can someone add me to list please, I'm 29, DC1 due 21/11/12, can't add on my iPhone. Thank you.

Peaky1 · 19/03/2012 19:15

Hi all. Marking my place on the new thread. I'm intrigued about these travel sickness bands. My nausea has been with me for over a week now and it just doesn't let up. Haven't actually been sick though. The one thing so far that I seem to be avoiding is cups of tea....WHY?...WHYYYYYYYYY? Sad

I think i'll pop round the supermarket now (I live right next to one) to get one of these band thingies...THEN i'm putting the kettle on Angry

nutellaontoast · 19/03/2012 19:25

Sorry to hear about booboo & hope thedetective gets some real help tonight.

Stuntnun - yeah, I don't really fancy chocolate either!! Which is weird. Especially as there is a day-after-mother's-day* box of lindor sitting on top of the fridge, all lonesome-like.

May I be listed?

nutellaontoast [29] DC2 EDD 21/11/2012

I can't help but feel like we should be analysing the list, making graphs etc... Wink

*NO MOTHERS DAY PRESENT. I lodged a complaint with DH's customer service department and normal service was duly resumed though. I should have asked for flowers.

horseylady · 19/03/2012 19:26

Ww they are great aren't they?! Not totally free but much better than I have been!! I can't stomach fish which I only eat once or twice a week but I dont eat meat so not sure about protein now :/
Hello bear me too! Then again quite stressful time here ATM so would probs cry anyway!!
Peaky I stopped drinking tea over the weekend as well. I only drink a cup or two a day but had none even when working lots xx

Chunkychicken · 19/03/2012 19:41

I had travel sickness type MS with DD which went when I ate & only vommed when I gagged cleaning my teeth (nice) but I also found I went off tea. Coffee (decaf of course) was no prob, but tea made me heave. At almost precisely 14wks it all stopped & I could drink tea again.

Currently feeling dizzy/faint regularly & absolutely knackered! Slept for an hour Sat afternoon (luxury of DH being home watching rugby & DD being asleep, so I was left in peace). Thank goodness I only work 3 days a week...
