Tiago Even the knitted ones look dodgy to me! Grin

So,anyone else having incredible pregnancy orgasms?

Peaky1 · 23/03/2012 12:33

All was well with early scan! I'm 7+5ish, crown to rump is 14mm, everything is where it should be and we saw and heard the little heart beat! DP looked like he could stare at the screen all day, haha. Also, I kept doing little gasps and giggles which made if harder work for the sonographer, ha!

WaitingForMe · 23/03/2012 12:35

Ooh DH's sister does crochet! Baby's older brothers (my stepsons) are obsessed with Star Wars, it'd be awesome for baby to have one.

No nucal test for me as I'd never do amnio. DH and his ex did it for the boys but hadn't thought it through (ie. what they'd do if it wasn't the hoped for result). I said I'd only consider it if DH had really strong feelings but he didn't. Will find out gender though.

DesperateHousewife21 · 23/03/2012 12:46

peaky really pleased you had good news at the scan, it's so exciting isn't it!?

Ermm...I've been having v erm incredible orgasms! Even when dh isn't here ahem...Blush

DesperateHousewife21 · 23/03/2012 12:47

Oh and we'll be finding out the sex but we're going to keep the name a secret, I won't even say what it is on here so you'll all have to wait til nov!

Thechick · 23/03/2012 12:49

Its not the jinxing, i don't feel that you can jinx things by telling people or whatever, its just that its so early in the day. It just doesn't feel real. Maybe if I was having morning sickness or something or extreme tiredness. I think once I see it or start to get propper symptoms, but with my first I got none!!

applepieinthesky · 23/03/2012 13:14

How lovely to see the heartbeat peaky Smile

We will find out the gender. We?re not fussed either way but I always think there are only so many cream clothes you can buy. Crap reason but I need to know.

I have decided the nursery will be painted lemon regardless. I don?t want it pink or blue.

I have already picked out the cot, pushchair and a few other things but won?t actually buy anything until after the 12 week scan.

NervousAt20 · 23/03/2012 13:18

thechick you are so lucky! No morning sickness or desperatly trying to stay awake past 8pm? Im jelous lol x

FruitSaladIsNotPudding · 23/03/2012 13:19

It doesn't feel real to me either, but I'm a planner. Actually, I'm quite cynical about the whole thing and don't really get attached to pregnancy until I'm through the scans. Plus a good friend just had a miscarriage, so I am doubly cautious.

FruitSaladIsNotPudding · 23/03/2012 13:22

Hmm, why did that post twice. Weird.

WaitingForMe · 23/03/2012 13:24

Our nursery was painted pale green when we redecorated. I want everything pale green and daisy print regardless of gender. I'm going to start looking at prams etc tomorrow as we need to go shopping for a friends newborn.

Don't believe in jinxing but too soon to start shopping for big stuff. Maybe a baby-grow though Smile

applepieinthesky · 23/03/2012 13:26

I was thinking of pale green as well waitingforme but the downstairs toilet is already green so that put me off. Unless I paint that as well.

WaitingForMe · 23/03/2012 13:35

Go for it. You're hardly likely to choose the exact same shade applepieinthesky.

It was a bit tricky when we were doing up the house as I didn't want to be repainting in a few months but equally couldn't exactly decorate a nursery. I chose a shade from a duvet cover (it's currently the spare bedroom) but when it was done it was exactly what I'd have chosen for a nursery Grin

DesperateHousewife21 · 23/03/2012 13:53

I want a nursery to decorate! I've only got mine and ds' room and his is decked out for a boy. If it turns out to be a girl and they have to share a room I'll do half and half (wouldnt know where to begin its quite a small room)

FoofFighter · 23/03/2012 13:55

Orgasms - anyone getting their lower abdomen going hard, like it does in later months?? This shouldn't be happening so early should it?

I've had to resort to the hairbobble today Sad was hoping to not outgrow anything just yet but remember with other pgs that I whoomph at first then slim down a bit and have a nice neat bump, so if my trousers don't fit me at 7 weeks, by the time I am 12 weeks they may again!

CandyPop · 23/03/2012 13:57

Yes being a control freak and a lover of planning we too will be finding out the sex of the baby. In saying that, I am being on the cautious side and not really looking up anything until my next scan. Like fruitsalad it doesn't feel quit real just yet.

Hoping next weeks scan will show a heartbeat and then I think I will be slightly more relaxed! peaky1 you must be estactic !!

It also doesn't feel real cause my symptoms seem to have eased off, boobs are not as tender... Although I think I'm just getting used to it, no more severe cramping and for most part of the day it feels normal. Apart from a couple of gagging reflexes this morning.... Not much nauseous feeling...... Any similar non symptom buddies out there??!! I'm 5+5 today

Hmmm hope little bean is doing ok and growing! It needs to get big enough so mummy and daddy can hear the heartbeat next Friday :)

Planning to tell parents once scan gives the all clear! Gonna get another one at 9 weeks, then will tell best friends then finally after the 12 week one, the whole world!!! Grin

applepieinthesky · 23/03/2012 13:58

We only have a 2 bed house so we have accumulated an awful lot of junk in the spare room which needs to be cleared out before I can think of painting.

Just found out I am still in the catchment area for my doctors so I can now get my address updated. Yay! That means I don't have to tell my mum and dad until I've had the scan.

I don't know why I'm so worried about telling them really. My mum especially will be over the moon. I just don't know how to say it. Does that sound silly?

DesperateHousewife21 · 23/03/2012 14:06

No it's not silly, I didn't tell my parents til 14 weeks with ds because I wa scared (and 19) but they were really happy.

I get niggles/ pains/ cramps after orgasm I think it's normal I've read it happens to alot of women. I think it's the uterus pulsing and the muscles contracting and relaxing prob has knock on effects it's not harmful.

Only my mil doesn't know now, I've told everyone! Dh wanted me there when we told his mum and I haven't seen her for weeks.

Chunkychicken · 23/03/2012 14:31

Orgasms??!!! Surprised we even conceived DH & I barely spend time together due to work & now I'm too bloody knackered! Roll on next week when we're both on hols or when DH's job is about 20min bike ride rather than an hr+ commute away. Try finding time for sex when DH is up at 5am Tues to Fri & not in til 7.15pm at the earliest... :(

FoofFighter · 23/03/2012 14:40

Who said anything about the DH having to be present CHch?? Did you not see DH21's post Grin

Chunkychicken · 23/03/2012 14:44

Grin but still too bloody knackered. Rather just sleep... Shock

Was HORNY when pg with DD for about first 14wks so was a fantastic time, esp as we were on honeymoon when I missed AF, but its just not the same since my LO's arrival :(

thereistheball · 23/03/2012 14:45

Well as of today it looks like I'm diabetic. I am now on a stict diet (which doesn't make any sense to me - 3x slices of bread for breakfast, but no protein? Surely that's guaranteed to make your blood sugar levels soar then crash?), during which I have to monitor my blood sugar levels 6x a day. In a week we'll see if I need insulin. I know it's for the best but I can't help but be upset about it.

applepieinthesky · 23/03/2012 15:00

thereistheball At least they know very early on and are taking steps to deal with it. No doubt they will keep a very close eye on you all the way through.
