Oh, I also had to pick DS up from school early for the very first time today - he's got to 10 without being sent home! Is that a record?!

He bumped heads with someone, and has a little lump 'that huuuuurts'. A McDonalds later, and a miraculous cure has occured. Hmm

So I taught him to iron.

He won't be coming home early again. Grin

Igglepiggleiggleonk · 22/03/2012 16:45

Touch wood i'm keeping well. Tired and mildly nauseous but not too bad considering I am running round after a 17mth old! :) Although I am only 6 weeks so no doubt is only a matter of time before I feel like death!

DC is the reason I haven't read the whole thread yet..... I will do tonight. Need to catch up!

Hope you're all keeping well too.

madasahattermummy · 22/03/2012 16:54

oh just reading the word macDonalds and my mouth is watering :)

carnt wait for tomorrow night big mac and 2 double cheese burgers gets me through the week Wink . oh why carnt i crave apples Hmm im going to be massive !

Chunkychicken · 22/03/2012 16:55

I want protein - sausage rolls, chicken burger, anything slightly naughty but with MEAT. I definitely do not want sweet stuff, healthy or otherwise. I've been pg 4 times & each 1 has been slightly diff but this is quite similar to the bacon-butty & marmite+butter on wholemeal toast thing of my first pg. Mmmmmmmmm bacon butty.... Not sure I've got any bacon. :( Looks like I'll be having the spaghetti bol instead...Hmm

DesperateHousewife21 · 22/03/2012 16:55

foof that's alot of tests!

madasahattermummy · 22/03/2012 16:57

DesperateHousewife2 thats what i thought too Hmm do they hurt or do they hurt from all the poking Hmm

FoofFighter · 22/03/2012 17:01

oh no they def hurt, way deep inside and the tops of my arms keep catching them and squahing them oooooh.

DH21, if I had more I'd still be doing them but cba to go and buy more!

fruitsalad check out Baby Jogger City mini and Nipper doubles if you want a side by side, or Phil & ted's if you want an inline, used them all and they are all equally fab as each other, nice and light and easy to push, could literally push the Nipper with one finger!

madasahattermummy · 22/03/2012 17:09

im only a B cup have trouble finding them at the mo to poke them never mind catching them on things Wink im sure mine do hurt Hmm Grin

FoofFighter · 22/03/2012 17:16

I've given in an bid on a pair of maternity jeans on Ebay. My biggest fat days jeans are uncomfortable and I can't abide wearing leggings day in and day out so have bitten the bullet. Gone for the stretchy pocket kind for now as they look less matnerity and should (in theory) last me a few months till i need proper bumpy ones

TheDetective · 22/03/2012 17:20

Re: Boobs.

The night before last, I woke myself up from my boobs boulders crashing in to one another as I turned over. Fucking OWWWW was all that could be heard in 6 miles either direction.

I woke DP up with my yell - he was downstairs asleep on the sofa where I sent him.

Damn boobs. Might go measure them later!!

FruitSaladIsNotPudding · 22/03/2012 17:21

Yes I love the nipper, but I really want one where I can use a carrycot, because as a 2nd child they're going to have to nap in pram and I want to be able to lift them out.

Think it'll be a britax b-duel, which is a beast, but does everything I need.

I've got a few tops and a pair of jeans from ebay too - bargainous! Also nabbed a perfect isabella oliver top in charity shop for £3.

BottleRed76 · 22/03/2012 17:22

I can't keep up with this thread....

Can you add me to the list? - EDD 28/11/2012

thereistheball - wow twins! How lucky! I'd really like to have twins.
Mainly because I wouldn't have to worry about fitting in another baby between getting over the first and getting too old for a second.

I have been doing a little bit of boob pressing. Have been too scared to do this until today because I have been convinced AF will arrive (despite BFP) and in my head if my boobs were sore it would be because she was on her way........I am aware of the madness of what I said.

I am looking forward to the boob growth. I have nothing so will be nice to buy bras in a proper shop that aren't designed for teenage girls.

Have made the switch to decaf tea and coffee.... a sad day

Amazon delivered the book I ordered on pregnancy and childbirth yesterday. Managed to flick straight to the money shots which were a bit more shocking that I thought!!! I think it's an earlier version than advertised as a lot of the pictures are very very dated and a bit scary. I seen plenty of pics and documentaries showing childbirth but these ones made me wince! The drawings of couples in positions which are suitable for sex when you have a bump look a little like 'The joy of sex'..... I am slightly disturbed.

Anyway, at doctors tomorrow for the 'hello I'm preganant' appointment. DH coming along too. Can't wait to tell the folks.

FruitSaladIsNotPudding · 22/03/2012 17:34

One of the best books on birth I got was Ina May's guide to childbirth, it's excellent, but the pictures in it are hilarious. Lots of bearded men and women with centre partings enjoying an orgasmic birth! But don't let that put you off.

Chunkychicken · 22/03/2012 17:40

Fruitsalad I have the britax b-smart 3 & LOVE IT. It is a bit big & can be a bit heavy but its great at all-terrain & has done DD from birth to nearly 2yo. Hate the fact that it won't take a buggy board so prob have to buy a new one, possibly a double :( Will worry about that once I've moved house & can see how much room I have in the hall :)

NervousAt20 · 22/03/2012 17:47

I haven't actually looked at many books for women but did buy "the blokes guide to pregnancy" of amazon, had quite good reviews but we shall see. My partner is so excited but kinda hoping the book will scare him abit as he thinks everything's going to be a walk in the park Hmm so have OBEM on record and making him watch it with me tonight, last time he watched it he didn't feel to well by the end Grin so mean of me :)

TheDetective · 22/03/2012 17:50

Sorry FruitSalad I somehow missed your earlier post! I tried the buzz in the shop yesterday and found it much lighter to push than the others we tried?!

How odd! I might just go for the mothercare one that I used to have - they still do it - 10 years on! That really was a one handed job to push!

I do really like the buzz though! Maybe the speedi might be lighter? But they only do that in black, and I need want a red one!!

FoofFighter · 22/03/2012 17:56

I want an orgasmic birth

Or maybe not as MIL will be there! Blush

TheDetective · 22/03/2012 17:57

I just realised I am sat here hugging a loaf of tiger bread. It is under my arm as I type!!

FruitSaladIsNotPudding · 22/03/2012 17:58

Maybe it's different with a baby in it? I've never pushed one empty!

I think phil&teds are heavy though, so maybe I'm a wimp.

TheDetective · 22/03/2012 18:02

Ohhh, never thought of that! Must borrow a baby!

FruitSaladIsNotPudding · 22/03/2012 18:23

How would a 2 year old suit? You can pick up any time, but you'll have to look after her until I'm past the first tri. Sound fair??

TheDetective · 22/03/2012 18:31

I only do ones with a mute and immobile button... !

DesperateHousewife21 · 22/03/2012 18:39

I'm keeping the graco buggy I had for ds, he's in a mothercare stroller now which is so much better but I don't want to spend out 100s pounds on a new buggy I'll only use for about 6 months for my last child.

If I could go back and re- choose the buggy I would. It's a nice big solid buggy but it's bulky and takes up the entire boot.

MsBlueberry · 22/03/2012 20:01

Hello! Have just spent the evening catching up on your board... really nice to have found you - can I join? I'm expecting DC3 on (i think) 10/11/12. I had some bleeding a few days ago so feeling a little anxious but I had the same with my last pregnancy and that all went fine in the end.... keeping my fingers crossed that this one's the same Smile

Made me laugh to read about all the toothbrush-vomiters! I was one of those last PG.... This time it's just nausea so far, tho my boss gave me a lift today and I thought I might be sick.... awkward as no-one knows yet.

Looking forward to getting to know y'all.

Evilwater · 22/03/2012 20:04

Congrats izzy, welcome back. I'm so glad things are where they should be.

So far this week I find myself saying, "the baby didn't want that"
This morning I must have looked awfull, as my colleagues made me have breakfast. Im glad they did, but this morning I felt unwell but manged to drink juice.
I'm going to get my self booked in to see the union about money matters.

I missed OBEM, but the forceps scared the living crap out of me. I'm a small lady and I really don't want the experiance my mum had. The baby will fit or not.
