orange lucozade is a god send i find it really does settle your stomach!!!!

so if anyone is finding it really hard to keep things down i would really recommend it :) xx

YellowWellies · 22/03/2012 09:40

I'm another boob prodder too Blush.

I enjoyed OBEM last night although the little premmie baby really brought back memories of my twin sister's last pregnancy - her daughter (due basically the same time of year as my projected due date) was born in August at 27+3. Was so amazing to see another wee premmie - they are such battlers. Very emotional. Am really hoping that this November baby is born in November however as the stress is immense and not something I'd like as an introduction to motherhood. Btw my niece is now thriving and a v beautiful little tigger.

Wish I could have a birth like the lady on OBEM who had the boy with the cleft palette... I know they edit it but that seemed nice and speedy without birthing in the car park! Grin

chickenspots did you manage to get to the unit?

DesperateHousewife21 · 22/03/2012 09:45

I've got one boob that hurts so I keep prodding that!

I'm in despair at my wardrobe atm, I want new skinny jeans etc but then I think there's no point because I'll be in mat stuff in a couple of months. So I'm having to live in leggings but then I've only got a limited amount of tops that go with them grr! It would be easier if it was really hot then I could just wear dresses and the stomach area would be free!

YellowWellies · 22/03/2012 09:50

bimbledorf I'm definitely planning on a sling - my niece spends a lot of time strapped to her Mum whilst she does housework, cooking etc and seems to be really soothed and contented by being so close. Obviously if you have ginormobaby there's a limit to how much time you're likely to use one but that's the only thing I know for definite I want. Am really appreciating you ladies recommendations of prams and pushchairs - I haven't got a scooby what are good ones!

madasahattermummy · 22/03/2012 09:58

DesperateHousewife21 next did do in my last pregnancy about 3 years ago some really nice marternity skinny jeans , low waist , there fab i still have mine !

talking about fast labour's i hope this one isnt quite as fast :S induced and only took 35 mins from start to finsih :s now that hurt :S

DesperateHousewife21 · 22/03/2012 10:19

My sis has got mat skinny jeans she can lend me, it's just this fat-not-pregnant stage!

TheDetective · 22/03/2012 10:49

I'm feeling rubbish today :( I have tried to ignore it as long as possible! I have hoovered and put all the bedding on to wash this morning - it has wiped me out. And taken me much longer than normal.

I bent over to the washing machine, and got a load of sick rush up my throat, but I forced it back down. Yuk!!

I think i'll take it easy the rest of today, and keep nibbling on things to stave off the nausea. Hope I don't vomit :(

I rang in sick to work today - said it was pregnancy related but they wanted to know specifically what so I just said, 'because I might vomit all over the patients'!

Not sure they wanted it that graphic, but oh well! I'm staying off minimum of 2 weeks, the night shifts are the worst. I'll see how I feel for going back if the medication stays working and work agree to let me keep snacking very frequently. We have a massive ban on food in the work area, but I can't keep leaving the ward to have a nibble on a biscuit - it is crazy. And the women you are looking after don't want a midwife green at the gills! I doubt work will agree to be honest, so it will mean me staying off until I no longer need to do this.

Take it as it comes, I guess!

thereistheball · 22/03/2012 10:50

I never made it onto the list, and out of superstition I thought I'd wait til my first scan before adding myself. I had the scan this morning (at 7 weeks). It's twins Smile

DesperateHousewife21 · 22/03/2012 10:53

Oh wow twins!! Might be the only twins on here, congrats!

WestWingCJ · 22/03/2012 10:54

thereistheball OMG!!! How amazing! Double congratulations!!

thereistheball · 22/03/2012 10:58

Ha ha, thanks. I'm in shock a bit. And obviously it is still very early days. Bloody hell though. Twins!

YellowWellies · 22/03/2012 11:04

thereistheball I'm so envious!!!! I'm an identical twin, so am totally biased, but twins rock and would love my little one to have the chance to grow up with a twin. Bar DH there is no one on earth I love more or could imagine loving more than my twin. Are they fraternal (two sacks) or one (one)? My Mum reckoned the first one - two years are harder with twins but the birth (we were both wee four pounders) and the rest of childhood is much easier as they amuse each other. Oh many many congratulations. That's such lovely news. Right I'm off for a walk in this sunshine or else I'm going to be mahoosive before I'm meant to be Grin

NervousAt20 · 22/03/2012 11:06

thereistheball wow congratulations!! Twins!

Chunkychicken · 22/03/2012 11:07

Congrats thereistheball double trouble!! :)

'Morning' sickness got me proper at 11pm last night & hasn't gone... not actually sick, just gagging & eating reduces it/hides it for about 5mins. Not a happy bunny. Am only 5+3 wks today. Don't think it started this early with my DD. :(

NervousAt20 · 22/03/2012 11:07

yellowellies of twins run in the family then you never no Wink

CandyPop · 22/03/2012 11:10

thereistheball - wow congrats !!!! Are they ur first children? One for me at the moment is a shock, imagine two?! It's so cute !! I haven't added myself on the list either , not going to until I have my 9 week scan :)

thedetective hope u feel better. Surely as midwives, they should be more understanding no??!! And how lovely for your patients to have a midwife going through the same thing :)

applepieinthesky · 22/03/2012 11:16

thereistheball Wow twins!! Grin

I?m so jealous, I would love twins. There are three sets in my mum?s family within 20 years so I have a chance.

FoofFighter · 22/03/2012 11:36

gosh what a shock thereistheball! Congratulations :) How do you feel about that?

My midwife was delighting in telling me all the stats for older ladies having twins, I had to tell her to shut up! I am hoping there's just one in there!

Ive got the tits from hell today Sad even the pressure of my nighty on them is too much to bear so am not getting dressed. so there. :p

misslaughalot · 22/03/2012 11:40

thereistheball congratulations! The thought of twins is really exciting, but scary too! Are they going to be your first children?

Had my first appt with the gp this morning, she went some way to reassuring me that each pregnancy is different, and that I should try not to compare my mc with what's happening to me now. I can tell this pregnancy is different though, and I'm only 5+2 today. I have aches in my stomach, not painful, just there, and my nausea is still around, plus today I have the whole sore boobs thing too! I feel both horrendous and brilliant!

No news from chickenspots yet? Thinking of you x

izzybizzybuzzybees · 22/03/2012 11:42

Wow what lovely news for you thereistheball!!

We were warned of twins because I was on clomid. We would have loved that but at the minute just thankful there is still one after all the drama!

Chunkychicken · 22/03/2012 11:45

Wish I had the tits from hell foo!! My poor little deflated ones (lost a fair bit of weight quickly with appendicitus, so when I stopped bf, they went down like empty balloons after being HUGE) are getting full again but nowhere near where they were first time around. Think 32DD to E overnight, DH would have loved it if he could have come near them!! Then 34GG (they didn't have a 32G feeding bra in M&S) down to a sensible 32E after a couple of months. Now I'm lucky if they fill my old 32DD bras... But they're getting there!!

horseylady · 22/03/2012 11:56

Hehe my sister said to me the other day 'when our cousin gets married in October I'll not be the fattest sibling in the picture' (there's just me and her) I was like ????!!!!! I'm an athletic build she's curvy it'll hopefully not change too much when I'm pregnant! Just a bump!!

NervousAt20 · 22/03/2012 11:56

Why is my MS getting worse :(

FoofFighter · 22/03/2012 12:25

chch am normally f cup, am now wearing a G cup. Am only 7 weeks tomorrow!! How the hell will I manage if they get bigger than that??

N20 worse in terms of amount/frequency? I hope you won't end up with hyperemisis

WestWingCJ · 22/03/2012 12:28

Me too in a G cup already. Last time I got up to a K. I kid you not. And I'm not huge, so looked totally stupid!
