Okay, so I have finally started the new thread.
All right everyone?

I have been awake most of the night with contractions of some sort or another. A really tight bump for most of the night. Things seem to have a settled down a bit but I've had a lovely brown globular show this morning. Contractions are still niggling but my midwife said it is fairly easy to 'put the lid on them' at this stage with a bath and some painkillers to give myself a little more time. Basically, she's not ready, dh is not ready and I'm still not ready yet...
I will be by tonight though. Have decided I need to put my stuff in it's bag and sort out house today. So here goes....

Morning!

Well, hoovered the stairs, cleaned kitchen floor and had a go on the dance mat last night, no baby!!!!!! But if you want cheering up just imagine me with a huge bump on the dance mat

DH wants me to go into labour today so he can come home from work but I'm running out of ideas, we've tried them all Just want this to happen naturaly without ending up getting started in hospital or a c-sec.

Hope all are feeling better today, come on lets have another baby please

Helen38 · 17/02/2006 08:37

Flame, I've been doing that for the last 2 and a half weeks (ducks for cover and hides)

Frizbetheexpansionset · 17/02/2006 08:37

{{{{Big Hugs}}}} Flame, however I do think that you will be birthing earlier rather than later, and certainly quicker than the 1st time round, just ignore all the 'helpful' advice, some people do it to wind up, others don't realise how annoying it is!!!

Thank Gaw'd dh has gone to work today, fed up of him checking if I'm in labour, which I'm not! although too getting the odd nice hurty pain in low down places, hurrah! means something must be happening somewhere right!

Jas, Thell, Ixel, Helen and anyone else I may have inadvertantly missed how you doing today?

Frizbetheexpansionset · 17/02/2006 08:38

ah ha cross posts!!

Helen38 · 17/02/2006 08:39

What I am dreading is going back to school and everyone saying haven't you had that baby yet?? and you still here?? and I thought you'd of had it by now and I will have to smile sweetly and not yell at them

Flamesparrow · 17/02/2006 08:52

Oooh, that was mean Helen.... I'll wait til you're least expecting it and give you a "still here then?" as punishment

Helen38 · 17/02/2006 09:03

LOL flame, got to amuse myself somehow

Flamesparrow · 17/02/2006 10:06

Feel sooooo weird... when I stand up it feels like the baby is at least partially engaged now, but doesn't feel like it when I am sat down (still very high bump). I feel queasy, but I am still getting over this cold, so not surprising.

I have back ache and low stomach pains, but again, nothing very sharp or regular, more just a dull ache interspersed with the occasional tightening type one.

I see another long day ahead of trying not to get my hopes up, but being so uncomfortable that it is hard not to!

Can I opt for this labour to involve proper gushing waters early on please? It would make everything much more definate!

ixel · 17/02/2006 10:15

Guess what? I'm still here! Went for my overdue appointment yesterday. They couldn't do a sweep because its ll just too closed up in there. Then there were two new registrars, neither really knew the system, so I ended up being there 4 hours. Jesus! Ds was really good , considering there's not alot to do there for a 2yr old. Anyway, I'm booked in for another c section on Tuesday Not what I wanted to hear, but at least I've got a final deadline now instead of all the waiting. Its just the recovery I hate. So Jasnem... I think I will beat you to it!

Having a lazy day today, as after 4 hrs at the hosp, we then went to the circus, which was full, so hung round the shops for 4hrs till the next performance, andst on very uncomfy plastic seats for the 2hr show!!!! Ds loved the dancing horses though, so it was all worth it!

Flamesparrow · 17/02/2006 10:16

While we're all clearly still sat here not springing forth, back, or any bloody where... shall we have some suggestions for new thread titles, and get a new one started? (If we look pleadingly then Tabs might even take pity on us and do the stats ).

At the moment I'm on "Due Feb - They've gotta come out soon!"

Flame.. dont wish for gushing waters! Thats what happened with ds, but nothing at all followed except being stuck in the early labour ward on antibiotics!

Flamesparrow · 17/02/2006 10:21

Oh no - why another c-section?? Is it the whole scar rupturing thing?

Since I'm only wishing anyway, shall I be more specific and wish for gushing waters, and labour starting within about an hour?

Helen38 · 17/02/2006 10:23

ixel, i guess at least you know when you will have baby now

Have to agree flame, I would like a big whoosh of waters so that I know it's coming, no more messing about.

Have to admit I don't really fancy going anywhere, want to stay hiding in my house, now that mw had checked and I know things re happening I feel like I could pop at any time and don't want it to happen while I am out. Can't stay in the house forever tho.

Jasnem · 17/02/2006 10:24

Morning,

Nothing at all here again.
I'm going to be spending all Monday morning fending off the "oh, haven't you had it yet then?"comments, too. I find it increasingly difficult not to get really sarcastic - Oh, yes I had it but loved being pregnant so much I just shoved it back up - type responses.

Tabs -never seen Buffy You haven't lived... It's on sky most mornings, so you can watch while on the sofa feeding Pippa. That's what we'll all be doing.

Hope everyone is well, and someone could oblige us all by going into labour this am...

Helen38 · 17/02/2006 10:25

I'm working on the theory that being as I am already on the way, if waters go hed should hit cervix and I should be away, well that's my plan anyway

Helen38 · 17/02/2006 10:26

Love to jansem but baby not doing what it's told

Jasnem · 17/02/2006 10:33

I had the gushing waters with DD1 and she was born 11 hours later, so it can happen.

Ixel my next hospital apptis on Wednesday, so you'll definitely beat me unless something dramatic happens now.

I'm in a similar position, though - induction is not a good idea after cs, as it increases the risk of rupture. My consultant told me I could have one pessary, but some don't even do that. So if it doesn't happen naturally, another section is the only option left.

I have had two normal labours, though, so I'm more likely (in thoery this time to have another spontanious labour.

Jasnem · 17/02/2006 10:38

How about
Due Feb - Who'll be here in March?
Due Feb - Not springing, but waddling
or
Due Feb - can't last much longer

Jasnem · 17/02/2006 10:41

Flame - just got an email from you, but there is no message....confused.

Helen38 · 17/02/2006 10:44

My hospital willing to induce me at 14 days over but mw not happy with that idea, that's partly why did sweep (that did nothing) the other day.
The thought of going 2 weeks over after the last 2and a bit weeks is, well i don't have thje words, well not nice ones anyway

Flamesparrow · 17/02/2006 10:44

Poo - it was my mobile number... I'll just text it to you instead!

Jasnem · 17/02/2006 10:54

Got it! Thanks.

Hi Ladies,

Thought I would post quickly whilst Ben asleep.

We are doing really well except for being in a lot of pain after my section. Ben is gorgeous, he is really good too. Put him down at 1.15am after a midnight feed and he slept until 5.15am and has only had one feed this morning!! He is so sweet, when he is hungry he tries to suck your face - makes me so broody!!!!!! I cant believe how much I love him already and he isnt a week old yet!!

I'm doing ok except for the pain, couldnt get out of bed again this morning and have run out of painkillers so doc is calling at 5pm and I should be able to pick a prescription up this evening. My scar is brilliant though, really neat and tidy and you can hardly see it. And my belly has gone down loads so far so really pleased. Just want to get rid of this pain then I can venture out etc.

Congrats 4b1p, that's great news.

Well, sending lots of labour love to all you ladies in waiting and really hope you have your babies soon as it is AMAZING!!!!!

Flamesparrow · 17/02/2006 12:32

I know I'm not meant to be getting my hopes up, but if this isn't early labour, then I want a bloody good reason for feeling like cr*p!
