Slow down BIGHOT MAMA...How did you manage it..you skipped the 2nd trimester, tell me your secret i wouldnt mind forwarding three months..or would I

Must check out debenhams that sounds reasonable, I am skint and hate shelling out for new clothes, I dont intend on havign more kids but I also dont want to feel a frump for next 6mth so will have to scratch up some cash somehow!!

BigHotMama · 30/01/2006 12:02

OOoops, must be my pregnant brain doing overtime! Thanks Freddy I even read throught that a second time and didnt even notice ha!
I meant to say 2nd trimester...

There may still be some sales stuff at Debenhams if your lucky..also got a nice wrap top which makes me feel so pg its untrue. Bring on the bump!

trix1 · 30/01/2006 12:03

Morning all, Im a bit hormonal one minute I feel my self getting really annoyed then feel really guilty. Although my annoyance is probably coming from the fact that I cant rid my pc from that annoying search engine yoogee and its driving me insane.

I popped into H&M on Sat and they had some nice summer things in stock and soooo cheap, some of their stuff is naff but I did find a couple of things that I liked and that will last me throughout the pregnancy.

Ive just been to the docs because of headaches and ive been signed off work for a week.

Arabica · 30/01/2006 12:45

Good morning, today I will be mostly wearing my new (via Ebay) maternity jeans from Next. Oh, the comfort.
Now I no longer feel sick, I am getting paranoid. It's ages until the 20 week scan and also ages until I can expect to feel any movement from the baby.

BigHotMama · 30/01/2006 13:17

Trix, I get easily annoyed too but instead of feeling guilty I feel sorry for myself and blame other people for not understanding its not my fault its my hormones blah blah!
Arabica how much did you pay for your jeans off ebay? I stopped feeling sick about 5 weeks ago and have only felt a slight flutter, I cant wait till the baby moves and kicks. Heard its starts around 20 weeks if its your first one and sometimes 16 weeks if its your 2nd?
I got 7 weeks to wait then..

lunavix · 30/01/2006 13:25

Hey everyone, my scan is for Feb 11th (or 9th? a weds) for my (nearly) 12 week scan! And if everything is okay, we'll be telling people!!!

I am still sooooooo sick, I just want to eat a meal again. I'm averaging one meal and a few snacks a day and it's nearly all coming up, worst of all I'm off liquids as well and can just about gulp down water (i suppose that's a good thing!)

freddysays · 30/01/2006 13:49

Hey Lunavix, thats awaful bad sickness you got. Why not see the doc. I am the opposite cant stop eating, but thats another issue. Maybe our over tired. I found that made me feel really sick. By teh way you are great at not telling anyone, I blabbed at 6weeks, I am rubbish

Hope you feel bit better soon...

BABY2 · 30/01/2006 13:50

freddysays- Been to see midwife today (it was a different one!!) i asked about anti-d. she says i go to hospital for blood taken and then will have a jab, Not a drip (thank-good) she has sent a note to hosp and they will send me an appointment.

trix1 · 30/01/2006 14:09

I mentioned my rhesus neg blood group to the midwife yesterday and she told me that now I will have to have an anti D injection at 26 weeks at the hospital as well as an anti D injection after the birth.

Arabica · 30/01/2006 14:14

BHM, my jeans were £7 incl postage, they're Next and in good condition so I was very pleased.
I've felt a fluttery feeling too but I don't think it's the baby, I think it's my digestive system. I just asked the July thread, one felt movelent before week 14 and the other, week 15.

babylily · 30/01/2006 14:21

Had a scan today. I had a little bit of bleeding last Wednesday so was referred to the EPAU for a scan to check it was okay. It was strange seeing baby wriggling and kicking on screen - I can't let myself be excited because I know from such recent experience that even though it looked okay it might still be all wrong.
Nuchal scan on Thursday, then maybe CVS on Friday depending on what that result is.
Then maybe, fingers crossed I might actually get to feel like I'm really going to have a baby this time.
babylily (11 + 4)

freddysays · 30/01/2006 14:41

Babylily thats a stressful time you got there. Lets hope it all works out for you. The thing with being pregnant is the high levels of anxiety that the hormones give you. Then when you add to that previous bad and dissapointing experience all you are left with is total fear and panic. Its the not knowing and lack of control over the situation that makes it more painful.

I wish it was different for you.

BigHotMama · 30/01/2006 15:59

Lunavix and Babylilly - good luck with your scans/tests - hope everything goes well for you - I know its hard but try to stay positive.

Arabica cant believe they were only £7 wow what a bargain, have never ordered from ebay but may have a look to see what i can find

melsy · 30/01/2006 16:45

ahh lunavix , you poor women, I agree you should see the doctor, you must be really suffering. Its awful the sickness, it really is.

babylilly , Im sorry your having all this worry. I know what you mean about seeing the baby moving but still worry until they come out.

I having a real pity party time of it right now with this virus, its made me super super cryey , I havent stopped since thursday crying and crying and I cant face anything most of all dressing, poor dd is keeping herself busy emptying all the cupboards everywere, whilst I half lurch and mooch about the place. Im terrible company right now and hoping it is mostly the virus. I really wanted to make some cakes with her today , but forgot to get unsalted butter and I think I may be sick looking at the mixture actually !!!

Arabica · 30/01/2006 17:43

Anyone who is feeling sick, I can totally recommend consulting a homeopath (not buying something over the counter). My nausea cleared up literally overnight & hasn't come back. It's even helped the anxiety a tiny little bit, although only because I now have more energy to deal with the rest of my life and can therefore distract myself.

purpleturtle · 30/01/2006 20:38

Arabica - I remember being kicked so hard it hurt when I was only 14 weeks pregnant with ds! I must have squashed him or something.

With dd it took me a couple of weeks to determine whether the fluttery feelings were wind or movements - I was over 20 weeks by then.

This time, I'm already getting some fluttery feelings - I'm sure some of them are probably wind too, but sometimes I wonder whether I'm feeling a tiny baby doing somersaults.

Nbg · 30/01/2006 20:50

Hi everyone

Well I had my scan today and my date has changed by a whopping 2 days
So my EDD is now 13/8 and I'm now 12+1, lol.

The scan was totally amazing, nothing like the 12 week scan I had with dd. The little thing was waving away and kicking it's big feet round. We've got a great picture of it waving, mouth open and one leg in the air so he or she must be comfy They've also stuck me back into the community so no shared care which is good.

I think I can join the rest of you in the mood swing gang I've been feeling quite angry over the last few days, god knows why but I on't like it. Dh keeps telling me to keep thinking happy thoughts but when your clearing up pee from your toilet training child and stopping your dog running off with the wet pants it's a bit hard to keep your cool!

So are these a new surge of hormones we're experiencing or just the same ones and I've just realised I've been a total cow for the last 12 weeks?

Hope your all well and Luna, I hope your sickness is going to wear off soon.

NBG - Glad your scan went well, mine is on Thursday. I could really get used to not getting up in the morning and rushing around getting myself and ds ready for work and nursery, how lovely it would be not to have to work full time.

I think the sickness will start to wear off very soon now for those who still have it. I dont know about the mood swings though

olivo · 31/01/2006 11:11

Morning everyone. I am in a totally foul mood today. dh asked his doc how long it should take for me having been referred to the hospital and was told 3 to 4 weeks!! that would put me at 14 weeks before i get a scan. I'm really annoyed as i'd have gone to my doctors at 8 wks if i'd known, not 10 like she told me.
add to that i'm feeling really sick and really tearful, not a happy girl.

sorry for rant, just want to get it off my chest. also, in 3 or 4 weeks i'm away so couldnt go. am going to phone my doctor today if i can and beg.

glad to hear everyone elses scans are going well (and very jealous! )

Nbg · 31/01/2006 11:39
