Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Thank you! Am sat on the labour ward in my sexy dvt socks and backless gown. Hopefully only have half an hour or so to wait! Grin Shock

indicababy · 07/02/2012 13:16

Ooops, sorry not posted, naughty FB. Congrats to all new babies and hope all has gone well for you today Devon.

Just playing the waiting game like everyone else now. Getting my hopes up with every twinge and don't seem to be able to think/talk about anything else, starting to bore myself!

louby86 · 07/02/2012 13:19

CoffeeOne · 07/02/2012 13:32

Best of luck devon Grin

PDog · 07/02/2012 13:41

Good luck Devon, hope you a squishy baby in your arms now.

Let us know how it goes zhen. I have written in my notes that I would like to active and move around even if cfm is necessary.

diedandgonetodevon · 07/02/2012 15:59

Our little girl was delivered safely at 11 this morning. She's perfect and we are quite besotted. 7lb7oz and feeding like a piglet Grin

Looking forward to reading about lots more imminent babies.

louby86 · 07/02/2012 16:05

Congratulations to you and your family devon Grin

phlossie · 07/02/2012 16:14

Hooray! Congratulations, devon! Very exciting! xxx

EsmeWeatherwax · 07/02/2012 16:22

Congratulations devon, another girl for the bus! Even up the numbers a bit! xx

Enraha · 07/02/2012 17:02

Congrats devon, heal well, enjoy your lovely girl, and stay on top of the pain relief. My industrial strength stuff ran out this morning, paracetemols not quite hitting the spot, contemplating a cap in hand trip to GP tomorrow morning...

QueenFee · 07/02/2012 17:12

Welcome to your little girl Devon :)

hermionejgranger · 07/02/2012 17:13

Hurrah! Congratulations, Devon, on your new arrival! Glad everything went OK for you! Zhen hope it went ok with midwives...

Another one here just waiting and trying not to count days. No signs at all really of impending baby arrival although we are now 3/5 palpable and I know for sure exactly where my cervix is because Bert keeps nutting it! Have had a "heavy" feeling in my tummy today - could be because of Bert's progress but could also be that I need a poo...

Rash and itching has been a bit better today but is still driving me batshit bonkers. The MW today said it is very common and will go away after delivery. And I have to just wait it out. Grrrrrr.....

Oh well, not too long to go now. And I bought a kilo of porage oats so I can make an oatmeal bath later. (Thanks for the suggestion Wicket I think it was!)

38+4...10 days to go...24 days at the outside!

PDog · 07/02/2012 18:29

Hurrah! Another girl to even things up a bit. Congratulations Devon.

CoffeeOne · 07/02/2012 18:52

Congratulations devon and welcome baby girl!! Thanks

ZhenThereWereTwo · 07/02/2012 20:01

Congratulations devon glad CS went smoothly and you are resting enjoying time with your little girl Thanks

Went to see Supervisor of Midwives today, she was very good. She said no-one could force me to do what I didn't want to and that if I felt midwives/registrars/consultants were not listening/respecting me on the day then I could get them to call SOM on duty (she will fill in her team of SOM's about my wishes) who would come and get them to leave me alone. In her own words 'we won't let them bully you' grin. Turns out they don't have any telemetry cfm monitors despite what I was told (they have been ordered) so will be refusing cfm unless they have telemetry on offer on the day.

Baby is head down but still free, BP and baby's heart all fine :) 37+1

deardear · 07/02/2012 20:05

Congrats Devon. Now for a run of girls!

QueenFee · 07/02/2012 21:50

Good news zhen :)

I am just off to bed hoping to get more sleep than last night. Woke up shaking at 2am and couldnt hardly breathe and had shooting pains in arms legs head well most of my body. Bizarre.

rnbsmum · 08/02/2012 04:57

Morning all! Typing this with the lovely baby Edith sleeping on my chest! Edith (8lb 10.5oz) arrived on Saturday morning at 11:21 after spontaneous waters breaking at 7:30am. All a bit quick for my liking when contractions started at 10:30 but she has been so lovely and Chris and the kids are besotted! Just enjoying the cracked nipples meets razor sharp gums stage!!!!!!

Congrats to you Devon! and yay for the girls starting to join the boys on the bus!!

Kayano · 08/02/2012 09:27

Congrats Devon!!!! So exciting!!!!!

ZhenThereWereTwo · 08/02/2012 09:41

Congratulations rnbsmum and welcome baby Edith! Thanks Another quick labour

Hope you are ok QueenFee, maybe you should get that checked out. Could have been you were sleeping in bad position, but best to ask docs, I would be worried if that happened to me.

georgethecat · 08/02/2012 14:48

Too late to join in?? just found you all. I'm 37 + 2 and hope to join you on the post natal thread as haven't a clue about babies :)

babycarmen · 08/02/2012 15:05

Yay! Babies! Congrats Devon, and welcom georgethecat :) Its never too late to join!

Had my sweep at 1.20 today and Im 3cm dilated! Was a bit :O at that considering my cervix was fully closed and hard at 36 weeks. She gave me a good sweep and my bishop score is 6. She doesnt think il be much longer but who knows! She said babys head is right in my bum and she could easily feel my waters and her head. She will be phoning me later with my induction date just incase but doesnt think il need it. So COME ON baby im ready and waiting! Got a good sleep last night too so feeling lots better. Been getting BHs every 10-15 mins since then but im not getting my hopes up at all. She also said baby feels quite small but im not so sure!!

Starting to panic now :) 40+2

QueenFee · 08/02/2012 19:44

Welcome George :)
Never too late. Doesn't take long to get to know us all!

Zhen thanks for your concern, if it happens again I will probably call the mw but tbh as it went away and baby is kicking and wriggling I havent mentioned it. I'm guessing the baby was just lying funny, and it's probably not helped by the fact by fingers and legs have signs of water retention. MW wasn't concerned about that and it was much worse in my ast pregnancy, possibly because it was July

I have now started project baby out seriously. My friend bought me some clary sage and details of acupressure, and also showed me how to do it - ow!
I really don't want to go over my date, partly for the sake of my kids who are suffering because of my hormanal state and lack of energy.

I'm going to a kids party on friday at one of these soft play centres. What do you reackon to a go on the big slide Grin

McQueasy · 08/02/2012 19:57

Queen fee, the slide sounds like great fun.
Babycarmen, sounds like you'll be having new born snuggles soon. Very jealous Envy
I've finished decorating babies room and packed hospital bag, but any bets baby will be late now Wink

popcornchicken · 08/02/2012 20:07
