1,000 posts into the very popular September 2012 thread, here's a new one, for knicker checking, boob prodding, toilet rushing, oh and eating the entire contents of the fridge or McDonalds

Here's to our tiny beans and all the lovely ladies lost along the way.

Full steam ahead to booking in and positive scans aplenty.

Rusulka might well be a good idea - airport departure lounge is a good description! Some people might not be posting just because theyre trying to keep up?! it's another 3 weeks till my dating scan which means it's another 7+ weeks for some people - quite a long time if we decide to split that way... Not sure how many people is the ideal number? would we want to split by 2 or by 3?

sasslejaney84 · 27/01/2012 20:05

ethel it very well could be the same cold you've had!! Its been 5 days now and I still feel like death warmed up!! Its awful :'-(

Can illness affect the peanut?? I know I'm worrying again!!

Loopyhasanotherbean · 27/01/2012 20:07

i don't think we need to split. No easy way to say this, but the chances are there will be a few more beans lost, and it doesn't take long to get to know people - we have another 7 months or so. My thread with DS ended up having about 60 on it, and through our different experiences, we all really gained a lot from having it on one thread - i think we wouldn't have learned quite as much along the way if there had only been 20 or 30 of us. After we had our babies, the numbers died down a bit, but there are still about 30 of us that chat via a group we set up on facebook, which is good as we can continue to share experiences, compare what our DC's are doing, and see photos.

I will be 8+6 tomorrow, still not had any contact from the useless midwives, so no booking date and no scan date. Going to call them on Monday, as despite the doctor saying not to chase them, they've had my details for over 2 weeks now....and getting concerned they won't have space for me for either...

Loopyhasanotherbean · 27/01/2012 20:08

(and out of the 60, 1 had twins, so i am expecting at least one person on this thread to have our token twins!!)

WaitingForLittleR · 27/01/2012 20:20

Loopy - this will (hopefully) be my first DC, so first baby thread - happy to bow to those with previous experience!

york67 · 27/01/2012 20:25

I am pleased to say boobs feel sore again. Mad I know. All these posts remind me I must sort out appointment at the doctors. Think it will have to be gp to start with due to age and other issues.

Spuddybean · 27/01/2012 20:30

Hello all! i haven't forgotten you, i have just been mega poorly and tired this week.

I will catch up on the thread over the weekend but just wanted to say hellooo. :)

Macaroons · 27/01/2012 20:31

In a way I think it's great to have such a busy thread :) so there's always something to catch up on when you log on!

I've decided to tell my managers about my pregnancy because we're in the process of setting annual goals. I don't really want to have too many goals given I'll be taking Sept - Dec off. (at least!) It's quite strange telling them about my pregnancy as I actually haven't told any family nor friends yet.

Macaroons · 27/01/2012 20:45

was re-reading the last thread

kellsi fingers crossed that bleeding is going to stop soon and your bean is a strong little fighter who is going to hang in there!

also spotted a typo I made... (I blame stupid iphone auto correct)

oik glad to hear I'm not alone on having a fry-up brekkie after a bowl of cereal I think we are subconsciously eating for TWO tried to be good today. Got a slim chicken and avocado sandwich from pret instead of a cheese and egg muffin!

(i said eating for you... instead of eating for two Hmm)

WaitingForLittleR · 27/01/2012 21:03

Slumped on couch while DH is a star and makes food, as I'm too whingey to do much else at the moment. Had a quick look on maternity clothing websites there... major sales, but too risky to buy anything yet. Bet they're all full price by the time I feel I can! ho humm...

newtonupontheheath · 27/01/2012 21:06

Hi, please may I join?

Got my BFP on Wednesday, and reckon I'm 4+6/5 weeks. EDD 28/09/12.

I was enjoying feeling lightheaded this afternoon, as apart from lack of AF, needed something else to tell me I'm actually pregnant! Cured lightheaded-ness with some of skips and a kinder egg. Grin

I've received some great support from friends over the past few months, so whilst DP has been out tonight, I've called and told a couple of close friends just don't tell DP as he wants to wait until 12weeks to tell anyone

Whatevertheweather · 27/01/2012 21:12

I'm telling work next week too Macaroons. I'm still on mat leave after losing dd2 and have said I'll go back 6th Feb. I'm dreading telling them I'm pregnant again and that I'll only be back for 5-6 months.

mirikat · 28/01/2012 00:17

Aaaahhhh insomnia!!! It's 4.15am here and for the 7th night in a row I've woken up at 3am, peed and not been able to get back to sleep - how long can I keep this up - I thought the sleepless nights came after delivery?!

Dorita75 · 28/01/2012 08:10

Has anyone having period type aching on one side? Started last night and woken up the same, feels like it's in my right overy, and is just like the dull ache of normal period being due. I've read about something called round ligaments stretching and corpus luteum so probably one of those (I hope) but just wondered if anyone else is hathjg or has had anything similar? I'm 8+6 today.
Thanks in advance.

holls2000 · 28/01/2012 09:09

dorita I occasionally get those and I think it is stretching. Just if it continues call your mw.

I wake up at 5am every morning but don't need to pee. Am I weird for NOT needing to wee through the night?? Blush

Loup23 · 28/01/2012 09:14

dorita Im 9 weeks today and have had funny pains on and off, im pretty sure all these pains are stretching etc as when I had my scan you could see the uterus had grown a bit so Fx it's all part of that.

Hope everyone is having a good wknd. My DH suggested we 'stay in bed' this morning. I know what that means Blush but worried about the bean. TMI alert are any of you shagging away like 'normal'? Any problems?! Xx

ThreeForTea · 28/01/2012 09:37

Hi! Strolling in on page three, have had a very crazy week and badly need to catch up on everything, let alone this thread! Very glad to be here with you all on antenatal though! X

sasslejaney84 · 28/01/2012 09:53

Last night I started bleeding, lasted for about half an hour and didn't have any craamps with it.... Fuckity fuckity fuck! (Sorry for outburst of language!)

Spent half an hour on the phone to NHS Direct and they said it could have been caused by intercourse and not to be unduly worried unless I get cramps too...

Has anyone else had early bleeding and the baby was fine, please tell me someone has, I'm going out of my mind that I'm gonna loose it!!

Denj33 · 28/01/2012 10:04

I hope this may reassure you, I had post coital bleeding when I was 11 weeks pregnant- all was fine and I had a 7lb 12 baby boy. Try not to worry much, I think it's quite common

sasslejaney84 · 28/01/2012 10:16

Thank you denj!!! I'm going to the midwife on weds so I'm going to ask for an emergency scan, as a precaution! Thank you again hun x

Denj33 · 28/01/2012 10:23

Good luck I'm sure you will be fine but pls let us know x

sasslejaney84 · 28/01/2012 10:31

I will, its just scared the hell outta me!! If that's all it is then there'll be no more sex for the OH lol!!

Denj33 · 28/01/2012 10:34

Lol that's what I said as well :)

notexcited · 28/01/2012 10:42

Hi newtonupontheheath. I'm not superstitious at all so my friends' know. I'm just not going to be announcing it on fb or anything Grin.

At least it was just bleeding and not cramps also sassle. I have heard bleeding is quite common after intercourse.

Grin Loup we are shagging but not as normal. 'Normal' for us would be, ummm trying to think of the word to use... let's just say we have toned it down a bit.

lurkingmurking · 28/01/2012 10:52

My DH was also up for it this morning but I was too tired - and I'm terrified about bleeding.

Having a lovely lazy morning with DS - we're still in our PJs watching tv - might brave the park later if I can be bothered!
