1,000 posts into the very popular September 2012 thread, here's a new one, for knicker checking, boob prodding, toilet rushing, oh and eating the entire contents of the fridge or McDonalds

Here's to our tiny beans and all the lovely ladies lost along the way.

Full steam ahead to booking in and positive scans aplenty.

Hello all - nice to see you on the new thread!

Alien, thoughts are with you, and I agree with whoever said you are a brave lady - stay strong. Best of luck to everyone else who is worried.

I'm 9 weeks this morning, and feeling pretty good - mostly because I slept through last night (normally I'm up once for the loo about 5am). Travelling last night so got home pretty late - DH had to drive pretty slowly for the last bit, we pulled in for 5 minutes at one point as I wasn't feeling too great - but normally no MS, possibly because I hadn't eaten much?

Yes to all the ladies talking about big bellies - mine is so uncomfortable half the time that I haven't worn jeans or anything with any restrictions around the waist for weeks! Wearing a hoody at the moment so I can hide it in layers rather than holding it in!

Scan Tues, first midwife appt Friday - finally things starting to happen!

Oh and poppyjen - I think that does sound slightly on the large side, I had a scan at about 7+4 and I think I was somewhere between 7-8mm. TBH though the measurements are so small at that point that I can't imagine it's very accurate. So that wasn't much help, sorry!

MillontheFloss · 27/01/2012 14:06

Waiting Up once for the loo?! I wish! I seem to be going about 5 times in the night at the moment!

Other than that, just a bit of MS for me symptom wise. No sore boobs, or the dreadful bout of wind and bloating I had last time around 7/8 weeks....

sasslejaney84 · 27/01/2012 14:13

milonthefloss I wish!! Sore boobs, MS, wind and peeing for england!!

Keep getting scared that I'm not pregnant any more and its getting annoying!! I'm a worrier anyway but if my boobs aren't as sore as they were the day before or my back stops aching I'm scared as hell!! I didn't find out I was pregnant with DD until I was nearly 14 weeks so early pregnancy is a mystery to me!!

crowette · 27/01/2012 14:18

I've been to the doctors to register, they said I should hear within a week ... so who knows how long it'll take to actually get to see someone and get it all confirmed!

I've had some lunch - a sloppy guissepe pizza from Tesco, wondering if it's a mistake because my stomach is still tender from last night's wind and bloat fest. I'm still feeling hungry, but don't like the after effects of eating. I've also bought a box of peppermint tea to see if that help my digestive system.

Think I'll go have a lie down and see I can snooze for a bit, maybe my stomch will feel better after that.

Does anyone know if probiotic drinks such as Actimel etc will make things any better?

LittleSpade · 27/01/2012 14:41

Yay had my booking in appointment letter come through - 14th Feb :)
I'll be 9+5 by then so hope they sort the scans out shortly after.

LittleSpade · 27/01/2012 14:43

Meant to ask, is that late for a booking in appointment? Will they have time to get the blood results for use in the risk calculation at the NT scan?

sasslejaney84 · 27/01/2012 14:50

little spade I would imagine so, I'm having my booking appt at around the same time and I've been told they should have

MissCoffeeNWine · 27/01/2012 15:10

Well we get the bloods done after the NT scan. So I'd imagine so!

I have MW booked if I get to 8 weeks but have already seen my consultant as I'm a little bit complicated/risky, and so I know my scan date will be if I get to 13+4 - so well into March never mind February!

I will have more frequent scans if the pregnancy continues though, being risky, so I'm not too worried - I have been recommended to be looked at every few weeks throughout.

My midwife appt is on 10/2 while first scan is on 22/3. Quite a while to go!!! that's why we had a private scan last weekend... Our bean was dated 6+3 and we could just about see the heartbeats. If you wanna go for a private scan, be prepared that you can't see very much - my hubby was saying that's a big spacious room for a little bean Wink

quitcomplaining · 27/01/2012 16:37

Love the name of the new thread.

Does anyone else with toddlers already feel they are being bad mummys because of the morning sickness? Yesterday was one of my days off from working part time, and instead of doing nice things with dd I ended up feeding her crap and sticking her in front of the tv to play alone most of the day while I sat with my head down the toilet. Feel awful about it.

My ms was never this bad last time.

I was very teary last night and had a little cry to dp about how unfair us having another baby is on dd. I'm hoping it passes soon as dd will think I have disowned her if it carries on the whole 9 months!

LittleSpade · 27/01/2012 16:42

Argh tight ball dresses and enormous boobs really don't mix - only just got in to it and now can barely breathe and have backache already!

Dorita75 · 27/01/2012 16:42

hotcupofcoffeeplease yes I've booked private scan for next Thurs, 2nd. It's on Rodney st, £99 which I know is stupid waste of money for the sake of 3 weeks but I consider it what I'd spend on wine over the next few months!

I'll be 9+4 so don't mind if I can't see much, just want to know something is in there as have not many symptoms. Am out with my mate at a party tonight, going to tell her. Am just running a bath to try and revive myself...sooo tired. And don't even get me started on what I'll be wearing now I have a super charged carb waistline!

EthelredOnAGoodDay · 27/01/2012 16:58

Dorita, make sure the bath's not too hot!

Quit, I know what you mean, I haven't really suffered much so far this time with MS, but whilst I've had this bloody cold, DD has been plonked in front of the tv for about two days. Luckily she's pretty good at making her own entertainment, but I do feel bad. We didn't go swimming this morning as I just wasn't up to it and we haven't left the house in 2days!!!! Sad

kellzi hope you get some reassurance from the doc, you must be so worried.

MadMonkeys · 27/01/2012 17:41

Ah, here you all are!

I'm having the weird sleeping too - awake for no apparent reason and getting up to go to the loo ALL the time. Had my first waves of ms this morning - not pleasant but kind of reassuring as I had it badly last time. And I'm soooooo hungry all the time! Trying to stuff myself with fruit rather than naughties, but not 100% successful so far...

lurkingmurking · 27/01/2012 17:41

macaroons as I understand it underwired is find as long as it fits perfectly!

sassle yep I'm knackered too - DS has been ill which really doesn't help! Fab news for your SIL - isn't it wierd to think that there might be some of us on this thread with 2 beans but we don't know it yet!!

Yey for the new thread MissCNW - there's so much to catch up on I have to type my reply as I read!

Ahsoka fab news re your scan!!

quitcomplaining I think it's totally normal. I went to see a friend with DS today and he was tired on the way home and wanted me to carry him but I couldn't because my tummy was a bit crampy and I was scared - felt awful! My friend is preggers with her 3rd and said it's totally normal to worry about letting your first down somehow!

Now - what takeaway shall I get tonight? I really really fancy sushi but I know it's not really allowed

Rusulka · 27/01/2012 17:49

Hey ladies!

Nice shiny new thread... but will it be enough room? At my last count there were 79 of us on the stats list- that's ridiculous!

I don't know about the rest of you, but with so many people on here, I'm finding it hard to really get to know anyone, or feel like we're a little community, like I have done with other threads- it's more like an airport departure lounge, and we're all on the same plane, lol.
Comments seem to get lost, and some questions go unanswered.

Didn't realise how close we'd got to the end of the last thread, but I was going to suggest that maybe we should split this thread into three- for ladies due between 1st and 10th, 11th and 20th, and 21st and 30th.
Just an idea, but it would feel more manageable to me.

What do you think?

Poppyjen · 27/01/2012 18:03

Rusulka I feel the same way too - so many people and so hard to do a proper catch up! Maybe we wait to see how many people come across from the old thread, I remember on my last antenatal thread by 12 weeks or so there were far fewer people actively posting than at the beginning. If it is still a huge group then splitting might not be a bad idea at all Smile

sasslejaney84 · 27/01/2012 18:15

rus I think that's probably a good idea as there do seem to be quite a few people on here!!

I seem to be beyond tired today, plus, thanks to this evil cold that my OH has given me I feel AWFUL!!

So far today I've had 6 slices of toast and 2 packets of crisps as well as my breakfast (decided to be healthy when I got back from school and felt a little less sicky)!! Now my tea is in the oven (salt and pepper chicken wings with rice!) Nomnom!!

Has anyone else had an overactive drool gland?? Mine seems to be working over time! I didn't even know it was a sign of pregnancy but my SIL says she drooled a lot with my niece!

holls2000 · 27/01/2012 18:23

Great name!!! Bleeding has stopped again and back and boobs ache. Still feel pg so fingers crossed. We are going out for supper tonight to keep minds off it. Meant to be out for a mates birthday tomorrow but dont think I will be going - couple of days of rest seem a good idea.

Hope you all have a lovely lovely weekend and that all Beans get comfy for the next 8 months xxxx

sasslejaney84 · 27/01/2012 18:24

Ps lurking my best friend has already said, if I am PG with twins she will spend my pregnancy laughing!! Lovely lady that she is!

sasslejaney84 · 27/01/2012 18:26

*holls so glad to hear it!! Hhopefully it won't be anything major for you and you're bean (or peanut as we are calling ours) is safe!! Good luck huni xx

holls2000 · 27/01/2012 18:33

Thanks sassie - that first sight of blood is terrifying. Hopefully some r and r will keep pumpkin where it's meant to be!! Xxx

EthelredOnAGoodDay · 27/01/2012 18:40

rusulka maybe best thing to do is wait til we have had our dating scans, which will probably during the lifetime if this thread, and then we can maybe split after that. I have started a new separate stats thread in this topic, so that will save quite a few posts although the further on we get the more it will stabilise I guess...

Sassie, I sincerely hope its not the cold I've had; I feel like crap and still can't really breathe through my nose. It's awful. Sad

Oh and whoever wanted sushi (sorry can't remember who it was) if it's shop bought should be fine as long as it's been frozen. Wink

NightmareWalking · 27/01/2012 18:42

Hey ladies, saw the GP today so it's starting to feel a little more real now! Got sore boobs and crampiness, a little ms but in the evenings mostly, the problem mainly is that I just don't fancy anything to eat and have lost 2lb since my bfp so now down to 9st? Confused

Loup23 · 27/01/2012 19:37

poppyjen my measurement was 11.7mm at 7 + 3 have consulted dr google seems there can be a range and bean grows 1mm a day during 7 - 10 weeks so think it's all ok Wink
